Excuse me, sir, but this is the album version and not even the whole version. Deladi it sucks as it is promoted as a live version and not even the whole version, which sucks. Not the track but the uploader. Official. My ass!
This is great stuff. I was 12 when this made, and didn't have access to the entire audio/visual output of the world. Therefore, I liked David Bowie, Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper, Argent, The Moody Blues, Arlo Guthrie and Neil Young. I would have ditched them in favor of The Stooges and Roxy Music, had the awful commercial radio stations of the time played their songs. Popular music always sucks - you have to look around too much to find the good stuff! At least all music today is free.
hate the way u tube has the comments by people doesnt make sense any more keepin best comments to the top isnt relevant. . Its just harder to understand the flow of the comments
I remember buying these early LP's from a second hand music store... Magic Forest Music Store... when it was a 9x10 shop on the 2nd floor... back in Fredericton New Brunswick... had no idea what it was but Brian Eno was on them :) STILL LOVE IT
Ye Ha! the early sound of Roxy Music, I used to listen to, and bought an album of these guys in the 70's. Still got the album, open out, but have no way of playing it. (woman on the cover) took from the album a long time ago.
Lucky for me I do have a tape recording from the album mentioned. They were 'Raw & Dynamic'
Bryan Ferry went horribly 'mushy' in the 90's. A lot of musicians, eg. Van Morrison and Elton John lost their early roots and never regained what they had, in my ears anyway.
@Agree with you mate, but its hard to re capture those early days.....remember the Beatles were a totally differernt band after 1966 and in a positive way.... Bryan pulled it off from another perspective......preferred.....72 to 76 myself....
I love the first album a lot. But you should really check out the YT vids from the Stockholm concert from -76. Great music even though BE wasn´t there.
Superb! Pity it finishes early. Roxy music were at their best in the early days. The first three albums were brilliant. Country Life was OK but after that they were middle of the road crap. Dance Away? Avalon? Ugh!
J'adore cette vidéo qui nous replonge dans la folie de cette époque ! C'est un pur bonheur ! J'adore Bryan Ferry avec ou sans Roxy Music, il m'épate car il sait tout faire, et avec un tel talent !
I love the earlier videos! But I have to say that Mr.Ferry is even better to day. The voice of Bryan become better and better. Re-make/Re-model is on the DVD, from the same concert. I just hope it's not that short...
Youth sentiment...Still kicks ass!

I think it was the license number of Ferry's car at the time. :)
PeterVonRock 3 years ago
Close. It was the licence plate of a car belonging to some girl he saw driving by and fancied (though he didn't know her).
