GhostBusters2 was an exellent sequall, and very few movies had a sequal as good as the first one like mission imposible 2,Lost world of jurrasic Park,Grimlins2 ,Aadams Family Values,and Escap from L.A.

The reason Ghostbusters II was made was because of the big popularity with not only the first Ghostbusters movie, but also the cartoon series of The Real Ghostbusters and it's spin-off; Slimer & The Real Ghostbusters. With all it's popularity, I'm sure Ghostbusters III will be great. I've always wanted to see a Ghostbusters III, and I hope it'll be made for all us Ghostbusters fans.

@ShadowChanceSassy, I agree with Ghostbusters II was the 1989 blockbuster sequel to the original Ghostbusters film in 1984. None of these two films would have been made without the successes of Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis's genius writings for The Real Ghostbusters and the spinoff Slimer and The Real Ghostbusters which, I both saw as a kid. Ghostbusters III will happen I have seen the interviews and I heard it is in production. I would like to see Samhein as the villain for the third film.

@MrKevinlclayjr Suppsedly the 3rd one will be closer to Aykroyod and Ramis's original vision of the first film using kids and other dimensions and such (According to an interview Ramis did the success of the Harry Potter movies which was much similar to his original idea for GB spurred them into pushing for a part 3.), but I suppose we'll see.

@EmperorofCartoons, If that's the case then Ghostbusters III will be highly successful as the 1984 blockbuster original. Harold Ramis and Dan Ayroyd are amazing writers and they also, wrote the stories for "The Real Ghostbusters" cartoon series back in the 1980s before the live-action film was shown. It was first previewed during an episode of "The Real Ghostbusters" if you remember Emperorofcartoons. They showed the "Ghostbusters" film name and the famous library.
