you need a decent effect pedal, a tube amp it would allready sound much better.

allso make your riffs less simplistic by varying th erythms and using sme drill pickings try to get off of the low note habit many players have. try fetching some high melodic notes too. to bring variation in your music

Do you ever upstroke? work on that and your playin will be alot cleaner and more interesting but this was simple I think I played a riff like this after 4 months of playing it's been almost 5 years now, but alternate picking really helps keep practicing and don't take this as a put-down

Not neccesarily dude - Metallica use mainly down picking and its super impressive. She might not have it down 100% here but if she doesnt practice with speed it'll never improve. Though I do know what you mean, newcomers downpick all the time, then learn alternate, then can master either...hopefully both. I think shes doing a good job though, she admits its rough which is more than can be said for some of the guitarists on here who think theyre the next Van Halen!

First, this does not suck. It isn't great, but a little more practice on it will polish up the rough spots, especially since there are some interesting positions shifts here.

The main thing I liked, though, was your attitude. There was a lot of malice here, which a lot of female players lack, and it makes a big difference when you play metal.

So keep plugging away. Your playing is developing pretty well.
