Just sitting here, innocently listening, minding my own business, enjoying the fine, swinging, creative playing ... then I hit 2:58. Now whose video is this? Boundaries ... gotta set boundaries :)
It's been too long since I checked in. Sounds great! Impressive library you're building. Hope you're doing well.
very nice dpne - it seems almost as if pedals are used for bass but I think
that this Ensoniq has the same very good accompagmenty ( never to day to find anywhere ) as my "same period?" KN2000 - even the later Technics were worse
are there any practice exercises/tools you could let me in on for hearing & executing more interesting lines and melodies? obviously you must have some rippin practice routines, anything you're willing to share?
My ex-girlfriend said Jimmy Smith sounded like a baseball game. Forget the critics and do your thing, Roger!

@Modes9 I guess that could be one reason why she's your "ex". ;-)

I believe there is a nice quote reference to Opus Caprice at 2:41? All in all, a totally wonderful treatment!! Thanks again for this and for Matt.

Perhaps you can demonstrate WALKING BASS of the Ensoniq
on a Slow Blues
I think it will do that a la Chuck Israels , . .hihi
That would not be possible :).
But it will do a great job

Roger, man, you are kicking some a**. This is really great and in the tradition of good hard swinging jazz. I love it.
p.s. I'm having a run of good health so it was good to hear some good jazz.

I loved this. Thanks.
While I was watching it, I kept expecting the nervous and envious left hand to reach over and choke the right hand and tell him to stop showing off.
