Why you compare Ana with Nastia?Ana control her movement,Nastia not.Ana's routine are so clean.Nastia's not.Nastia make so many mistakes,she has pause,esitation.....she won because has high difficulty but with many mistakes and sometimes judges overscored.ANA is BEAUTYFULL!
She's so fluid when she moves, and so quick - there are really never any pauses before her moves, which is wonderful to see. Such confidence on beam.
I do think though that she is more reminiscent of classic Soviet and Romanian gymnasts, she is really not at all like Nastia. Why do people always compare Nastia with every gymnast like she's the standard?
why are people comparing her to nastia...two different gymnasts. ana is far more similar to the romanians of the late 80's, she's more of the silivas/dobre mold.
I'm pretty sick about everyone comparing her to Nastia. Of course, people start to say they are alike because they are not power gymnasts and their body types are alike, but at a closer look, you can definitely see the difference. It's true they are both artistic gymnasts, but they have a different type of artistry, like many other gymnasts, so you cannot really compare the two.
Frankly I don't care if it is haters or the people fawning over her. I tired of seeing her referred to in almost every beam or bars video I watch from Svetlana Khorkina or any gymnast who looks even a smidgen like her. Why are we comparing her to everyone like she is the standard? I don't care if it is hate or not...I'm simply tired of hearing her name lol.
@Brenttyboy There are plenty of Latin Europeans. The Romanian language is one of only five Romance Languages derved from Latin. I think you and a lot of other people associate the term 'Latin' with the word 'Hispanic' which are not the same. Two completely different meanings behind them.
@mzmissa it's a choice of preference... i would never refer to a french or beligan as a latin-european despite french being one of 5-6 romance languages; i think people would prefer to be categorized by country/region/culture more so than root language... but then again I wouldn't refer to Singaporeans as Germanic-Asians because they speak English in Singapore.

The concept that you have about the word "latin" is full of prejudice. Open some history books, learn some sociology and for Goodness sake... make an effort and think out of the box. You talk about culture but the main trait of a culture is the language you speak along values, beliefs, habits and so on.

Yeah, she kinda looks like Nastia but latin-european girls are way better, besides she is so good and I love her legs.
