Hi, i got serious problem, i using leopard, 10.5 latest update, and i install window using bootcamp. When i open window via bootcam, it just can read normal usb pendrive, but not external drive. do you know how to make it read? or else i need mass storage of pendrive to store my thing
.... im having a problem going online via my home wifi...when i am in the Windows platform..i successfully loaded XP w/service pack 3...on my MacBook Pro...
Hey I put in the disk, my mac rebooted and I see this blinking white line just like you except it is stuck there for an unusually long time. So far it has been 10 minutes is that normal?
@iTalkApple96 hey, ughhh in one of these videos, the first or seccond, you said you need to install the disk for the drivers but i didnt get one of those with my mac. you said that they came in the older macbooks and i have to go on the apple website and save it on a usb, but i really cant find it on the apple website, could you please try to find it for me? i would really appreciate it, thanks.
Please help anyone. After choosing the partition it didn't go thru and I decided to quit. No I have Mac desk top and I only see a blue screen saying:push any key to reboot. The point is I have wireless keyboard and computer doesn't read it. The windows cd is inside. What should I do? Billbrazil100@yahoo.com
I've got a question: I have a MacBookPro 15" 2011 i7 2Ghz
And i have a XP disc. I've installed it on bootcamp, but when my computer restarted, he showed a black screen and this text: Hardware configuration bla bla bla...
And when i shut my computer down and restart him again, he does the same :(
What should i do??!!! I can't do anything now on my computer and he's brand new :,(
@DxeZzPain First of all just hold the option key (left alt) as soon as you press the power button and it will let you choose to boot into Mac OSX again. So that should get you booted into snow leopard again to at least use your computer!! Now what else does the hardware configuration page say? Does it have any options you can choose on it?? Let me know :)
@iTalkApple96 Nope it's just controlling the hardware, as i've seen on youtube so far, my computer should bring me a screen like on 3:07 but it didn't get past the screen like 2:57
Thx for the information :) but i went to the switch service center and they fixed it xD and now i know that XP and Vista aren't compatible with bootcamp on 2011 macbook pro's :( so i think i will have to buy Windows 7
@DxeZzPain No, windows XP is compatible. Bootcamp requires at least XP service pack 2 to work and you probably have service pack 1 so just grap a copy of XP SP2 or SP3 and it'll work fine. or the disk your using could be bad! but if xp don't work than vista or 7 wont either
@DxeZzPain No, i would just find a better copy of XP instead of buying windows 7.... windows xp does work use it all the time on my MBP and na i would stick to bootcamp and not bother with parallels or vmware. i find the virtual machines just slow down your computer..
I meant NOT up to date enough - you know with the necessary service packs. I'm not sure it has any service packs on the disk and how would I tell anyway?
@joeldaustin Yes, i know what you mean... bootcamp requires at least xp service pack 2 (sp2) so if its a fake copy you will have to install it on another computer and go to start > right click on computer and click properties so you can see there what version it is. Thats all i know unless you wanna download a new SP3 version of xp and try that?
when i use the bootcamp application i run into a problem when given the choice to choose a partition. I only have one choice. It shows the following: C: Partition1 [Unknown] 131072 MB ( 131072 MB free) So what in the world does that mean? Did bootcamp not actually create the partition correctly or is my XP installation disk to up to date enough or what? Thanks for your help - Extremely Frustrated.
when I try to do this, It always ask to download drivers for isight, bluetooth keyboard and mouse. When I try to move the files, it always gets an error. And when I try to burn the drivers, it doesn't react anyhow. Please help dude!
@HDPriority I would recommend buying a legal version of Windows XP on Amazon.com..... For windows Vista or Windows 7 just pickup a copy at your local best buy or computer store. I would recommend Windows XP though just because it runs faster..... not saying Windows 7 is slow but windows XP is always faster because it requires less of a powerful computer to run (especially a laptop like a MacBook or MacBook Pro). Thanks for commenting if you have any other questions feel free to ask!! :)
