  • 0:16 guy walls past with pizza

  • Thats a really nice setup, with very healthy looking fish.

  • +++I have the exact same geophagus on my video, check him out and rate please. how much did you pay for yours and do you know what kind of geophagus they are?+++

  • Are these cichlids peaceful?

I want to get one but I want to make sure.

  • Thoes pike are very pretty. I used to have a Golden Pike Cichlid and a Raindbow Pike Cichlid. Very pretty fish, but even when I kept the water pristine I had problems with hole in the head. Nice tank though ^_^

  • @slickdog78

They really are. But i still don't know weather they are "Johanna Pike Cichlids" or not.

  • @n03lzz They are not johanna. Johanna do not have an ocelli at the base of their tail. They are most likely Cr. lugubris.

  • Nice geophagus! :)

  • @fefontesbugatti

Yes, true. I bet they changed their home after this fair (respectively changed hands).^^

  • Awesome!

  • @rohde4ever:

    Yeah! =D

  • @n03lzz Thats What im trying to do with my soon to be 267 U.S gallon or 1000L Aquarium except im gona have viejas n A Silver Arowana wow what a nice fishtank.....What Type of pike are they?

  • @iCantTinkOfaGudName:

I think they are "Johanna Pike Cichlid" also called "Red-Finned Pike Cichlid" (Crenicichla johanna).

  • What are those huge plants in the background. They look like Java Fern but I've never see some that big! I've had mine in my 55 for around 1 year and they are 1/10 that size...

  • @XLR8urlife1505:

After some short research i think it might be a "Green Wendtii Crypt" (Cryptocoryne wendtii) or something closely related. But i'm not sure... The footage of the plants is also not the best...

  • beautiful fish!

  • @balatopia:

    Yes, very cool guys.

  • Pretty Awesome tank!

I love Earth Eaters because they are so peaceful.

  • @animalmastermtd:

Yeah... Do you remember the other video with those Eartheaters that are twice that big like these ones? It's called "5300 us gallon South America panorama tank / 20.000l Becken @ a Zoo Aquarium [1/1]" or /watch?v=mQvCttWASD0

  • Oh yah. I remember that.

  • Also I am doing work experience in Taronga zoo reptile house, so if anyone wants pics, just pm me email adress....

  • Just wish they used echindorus instead of java fern......

  • @TimeForBold:

The way those plants grow and their roots look like java fern, but they are so freakin big... never seen java fern in this size. But you are totally right: echinodorus would match the theme way better.

  • I think my local fish store has these like a gold color but their ugly. 5/5 :)

  • @FishTankFanatic:

A gold Geophagus, that already sounds strange.^^ Thanks for your voting. =)

  • The eartheaters are Geophagus surinamensis sub-species altifrons. I have some vids of them on my channel. HTH :)

  • @Fishlova82:

Ok, i have to check those videos out (if i've not seen them yet).

  • The eartheaters look alot like a picture I have in my Tropical Freshwater Aquarium Fish from A to Z (Compass Guide). They list them as Geophagus cf. altifrons and also sometimes being called Geophagus surinamensis. Hope this helps. Thanks for the video.

  • @acidpope1:

Cool thank you. I think that's totally right. Now i need the place of finding for defining the color variation.^^

  • That doushebag got in the way. You should bring a shotgun next time you take a vid, man.

  • @blownable:

Those guys are the reason why such a video session tooks the whole day.^^
