I'm actually friends with someone who was a lot like Dennis when he was younger. Abandoned, then adopted, mixed up, all kinds of issues. He's grown up into a fairly normal guy, and he DOES NOT cry at movies. He did at this one.

@ElvenRaptor i am SO glad to hear that!!!!! this movie is my life. this movie is what made me go into my major, which is special education for emotionally impaired kids (like dennis). i want to help all the abuse and abandoned kids as much as i can. no one is perfect, but it sounds like your friend is an amazing person. to grow up to be FAIRLY normal after going through what a lot of these kids go through is amazing.

when i saw this movie.. this part.. was so true...

i couldnt help but cry,, im glad to know i wasn't the only one who was a misfit, and so curious on why people left me.. but, i was adopted into a good home<3
