first of all thank you for these great instructional videos. Origionally I'm a drummer and just started to learn guitar seriously as my second instrument. your videos really help me a lot.
btw: that's really fat sound for p90s. but i like LPs better with dual humbuckers. Have you ever tried a hagstrom swede/super swede? great fat sound and splittable humbuckers for something like strat sound. I really love it.
You're amazing, really enjoyed the lesson and the energy that you've put in it!!! Well explained and easy to follow, my Gibson is almost sounding like that :) Thanks
I just wanted to say thank you so much for putting out these great vids. I used to be very uncomfortable with soloing but thanks to you guys I'm much more confidant with my playing. Great work!
David, just wanted you to know that I have been watching your video lessons on Next Level Guitar and on You Tube for the past year or so. I have learned a tremendous amount about how to play. You are an awesome teacher!!! I hope to get down to NSD to check out one of your shows.. Rock On!!!
i first found you when trying to learn bat country by avenged sevenfold about 6 months ago. i found the video so helpful and was able to play it near enough straight away.
since then i have been working more on blues and yet again, your lessons do not dissapoint :)

First contest winner - Dwayne J from Redlands CA won the Epiphone Les Paul Goldtop. Unbelievable story that he won this guitar as he told me had had a goldtop stolen from him many years ago and he could never replace it - now he won one so its coming home to him for the holidays - how awesome is that - what a coincidence!
hey people.. i have a zoom g2 processor and i wondering how i could get a patch similar to the one that's playing...i know it won't sound this good ..but anything close would do...
can anyone at least tell me what to search on the forum in order to achieve this tone?
Hey, nice lesson. I need to ask though, are there any OTHER blues scales? I'm forced to stick to the pentatonic while usually just adding a an A sharp when i play in the key of E.
now dats a sexy guitar!! i have just liked on facebook, i guess all i can do now, is keep my fingers crossed and hope for da best! its a great thing ye are doing. keep it up! ;)
Thanks for the lesson. I'm impressed by how easily you get those pinch harmonics to ring. This is something I need to work on -- as it can add a little flair to those licks, just like a bend could. I can get them in the meat of the strings but not so much in the high or low register...
Hi - thanks so much for your kind words - most appreciated! So glad that you like my lessons and that I can help you with your playing. I have some lessons here on my youtube channel on pinch harmonics as well as the full on video instructional website - check those out as they may help. ANd keep on rocking!
Thanks to you all i got the fire back in playing again. My playing wasnt amusing to the oddence and had pennys thrown @ me. But during my youtube adventure looking threw and saw nextlevel guitar. Got me back in the seat. Thank you>
@mccheese95 Correct. Epiphone use to be Gibson's main competitor many years ago, but eventually it was bought by Gibson and is now a subsidiary. It's kind of like how Squier is a subsidiary of Fender.
About half of Epiphone guitars are direct copies of Gibson guitars -- the other half are dedicated Epiphone models...
I know y'all are here to teach. but I would LOVE it if you all were to make a clip of a jam session or ya guys just playing. Show us your different styles and what not. all of ya are amazing players!
