My issue is the secrecy of the meet and the delay for a week to disclose to the IAAF the official results. Many coaches, and overseas track enthusiast became instantly suspicious of the race and time. IAAF did allowed the time to be ratified last week, but from what I'm hearing they demand some type of proof other than to say he ran 9.79. So let me ask you this, Did you see any time measurement since there were no timing system on the field level? We need proof of possible wind aided times.
@kingofsprints No timing systems? Where did you get that one from. If you check my other race vids from the day you will see the guy reading the wind gauge at the 50m mark. The auto timing was done by finish lynx. The tent was on the right side of the finish line. I just stopped recording before i panned that far with the cam. The results were instant at the track. Secret meet? A ton of pros have been coming to each one of the 3 meets this season. Remember, they arent paid to run here.
@kingofsprints Well with the televising i think it would be a good idea, but its not a grand prix or diamond league meet. ITs pretty much an all comers meet happens to attract top notch talent. If you go to the website they always advertise the meet.
@chris6878 It doesn't have to be a diamond league to be televised, they are many sponsors out there. Look at tiny Jamaica the size of connecticut they televise almost every single track event including the low key ones some times in a empty stadium. This is not 1946 all these meets should be televised and I hope they do.
@kingofsprints r u american? lol if not then you dont know that track ranks at the bottom of US sports behind bowling, sad. So you cant compare with JA. They care about track as much as we care about football. They will never spend the cash to televise a clermont meet. Did you see how they didnt show the replay of the 100 at Adidas classic. Why,because they had to show horse racing. They cut it short so they could talk about a horse race that didnt start for 2 hours. You are a wishful thinker.
@chris6878 Still not an excuse! In Jamaica they have the same problem whenever you have no names sprinters at the UWI meet or the Gibson Relays there are no one in the stands. Jamaicans truly support Junior track more than pro's so there's a difference! but regardless it is still tape at least just in case someone does something special. The Clearmont group could at least tape the damn event if there's no sponsor, That's common sense not wishful thinking!..The USA still has alot of track fans!
@chris6878 Here's what I feel! I feel Tyson is been led to ran a corrupt race by the low key promotors to ran a race in questionable situaton like this one so he could appeared have to broke the world. This almost feel like 1988 all over again with Cal lewis and FloJo..... All track event in the USA should be taped or televised period because USA track and field can't be trusted.
THATS NOT OFICIAL TIME.GAY IS GREAT SPRINTER,BUT I THINK THATS AROUND 10,10.EVERYONE CAN SPEED UP THE VIDEO SO THE RUNNER WHO RUN 12 SEC,SHOW HIMSELF AS HE CAN RUN IN 9 SEC...HE DOESNT LOOK LIKE HE IS IN GREAT FORM,AND HE HED NO COMPETITION HERE LIKE BOLT -THE GREATEST!
This was a fraud meet Tyson did not ran a 9.79 no fucking way! You can hear the wind blowing like hurricane in the background. This race should be nullified and not count because it took place under cover with any formal officiating or vaild timing and wind speed verifications. This was intended on putting fear in Usain Bolt as to say Tyson is ready and Bolt not.....Lamin Diaack should intervene and over turn this race and the organizers and their secrets. ONLY A FOOL BELIEVE TYSON RAN 9.79.
@kingofsprints What do you think gay and mulling just ran in NY. Minus the 50 degrees, the 3.4 neg wind and rain, what do you think they just ran? Im thinking 9.8 with no wind maybe faster. Gay had a horrid start in ny and ran mullings down. I could understand your point if and only if a 11 sec runner went there and ran 10.2. All these guys live in the sub ten club, and you are questioning if they ran fast? With good weather and a good start this is what gay can run.
@chris6878 That race in NY was alegit race, I think you're right based on the wind speed they both hit 9.8 or maybe 9.7.....I was only complaining about the Clearmont race with no proper timing system or wind speed results, it seems really suspect. But both are running well at the moment.
@king Ive been at clermont to run since 2006. This was before dennis mitchell took over the meets. Now dennis and gays training group is out there the meet is now legit. The meets are catered toward the sprints unlike other meets they will always turn the race around to run with the wind. The track is deep down in a valley. I was taping from on top hill. This is why it sounded windy. the timing and the wind gauge correct. The womens heat 15 mins before had a 4.8 wind. its legit. trust me.
@chris6878 A valley creates much more winds because wind doesn't skip over the track, wind follow the curvature of the rolling hills and valleys which does affects track events positively or negatively. National stadium in Kingston Jamaica is in a bowl like setting with winds hitting the track from east (headwind) and west (tailwinds) which affect most races on a windy day. The 4.8 wind hitting the track is a clear example that the wind does affect the track not skip it. Thanks for the video!
@kingofsprints I hear you, but to say the timing and the wind reading system is a fraud is just a random assumption. Even if the time was wind aided "which there is no factual proof" The fast times on the track have been duplicated at other tracks around the world.
So Gay is coming back from injuries and Bolt is also coming back from injuries so no excuses this time. it's gonna a be a great race at world champs but my money is on Bolt. 9.50 WR Bolt, 9.65 NR Gay, third is a toss up Powell, Blake, Carter, Mullings, Gatlin, and Rogers
nah..write off mullings...or do yall think he has the nerves to run up against the likes of Gay, Powell, Bolt, Carter...just cause they post up fast times dont mean they can turn up good at big comp.
@mamowolde WEll i wouldnt write him off yet. He is training with gay so Im sure his coach will have him right. But he ran a good race against bolt already.
@seacot and your basing this of off what? Im sure its not facts. Sounds like its just random hate. Mullings has gone under 10 seconds at 4 different meets but his clermont and Eugene times aren't legit? Gay went under 10 in the first 100 of the 150 but he according to u he didn't run 9.79. Think before u type.
@makalani28 Naw I wish I had recorded it. I was on the tracking warming up during this race. my boy did the recording. Check my other vids with bledman and padgett and you will see a big difference.
@jc2fly Yea the result should be posted usa ntc website this week. I just noticed you run for canada. One of my homeboys down here will be competing at your championships in the 100. I also noticed alot of Canadian athletes are gonna be running in the meet down in south florida this saturday. At Ansin sports center.
@blessedbranch sensitive? the reason i asked is because you asked a dumb ass question. If you follow track you know were this meet took place. But judging by your question you must not follow track. so in that case im sorry for calling your initial post a dumb ass question.
@chris6878 You are so off dude. It's Rhetorical-meaning it's obvious and does not need an answer. If you reply to a rhetorical question then you are the dumb ass. @blessedbranch you asked a dumb ass question then told me i was sensitive? Once you took your lil gay jab i had to take mine. Also this isn't a term paper so you sitting around dissecting what i typed so you can correct it is funny to me. Also please don't waste your time responding i can easily delete your post if I like. So just stop trying.
yea IAAF does have some corny ass regulations tho...the track must be mondo...there must be an iaaf rep or official there..and other shit..
