I really like this, but Opeth and this band are not comparable in my opinion. The musicianship and song writing of Opeth far surpass this band.

I still remember the first time listening to Demon of the Fall by Opeth. Sent a fucking chill down my spine.

Some early Theatre of Tragedy would be another suggestion. Or Switchblade Symphony if your into a more classical sound like violins or harpsichord.

Draconian is definately the closest thing you ll hear.especially the first 3 albums.the fourth is a bit more balanced metal.but only a bit :-p

poisonblack are good,but they have gothic influences.

you should also listen Katatonia.

and you shouldnt miss for any reason the one and only album of the band Warning.Its called ''Watching from a Distance and you can find all of its songs here on youtube.
