Well yes because they're in the SAS, so of course they're more important than a bunch of civvies.
They were there doing reconnaissance on a high profile insurgent within the police force and they were shot at by IPS who are known for being on the side of the insurgents. They were then captured and beaten. Also there's a difference between putting the lives of soldiers at risk and putting the lives of civilians at risk, which the wikileaks guy did.
@krd Not to me, Whilst you may regard the SAS to be heros others certainly do not. Consider that they were recently in Libya stirring the pot helping these so called freedom fighters who make their captives kiss and eat dead dogs. As for wikileaks, it simply exposes the truth which seems to be hard to swallow for some.
Like the names of interpreters or civilians who work for the coalition. So the Taliban find these out and then they torture the terps, followed by killing the family then the terp. About the SAS, it's a simple matter of government protecting its assets, since SAS troopers take quite a lot of money to train to the required standard, as such if they can rescue an SAS trooper, that means they don't have to spend the money replacing him.

Sorry but I prefer the original version with the 3 lads and cannot understand why it had to be changed for the american market. I do not deny that the american soldier have excellent voices but I just like the proper version.

Soldiers have dignity and respect so stop acting like one, and if there is that small chance you are a soldier then you need to pay better attention in the army and learn how to talk to others

It took an independant deployment of the british army to straighten it out, the UN actually made it worse.

How about the facts that wikileaks is exposing your government to be a bunch of back stabbing cowards. Well yes because they're in the SAS, so of course they're more important than a bunch of civvies.
They were there doing reconnaissance on a high profile insurgent within the police force and they were shot at by IPS who are known for being on the side of the insurgents. They were then captured and beaten. Also there's a difference between putting the lives of soldiers at risk and putting the lives of civilians at risk, which the wikileaks guy did.

@krd Not to me, Whilst you may regard the SAS to be heros others certainly do not. Consider that they were recently in Libya stirring the pot helping these so called freedom fighters who make their captives kiss and eat dead dogs. As for wikileaks, it simply exposes the truth which seems to be hard to swallow for some.

Wikileaks does expose some "truth" yes.
Like the names of interpreters or civilians who work for the coalition. So the Taliban find these out and then they torture the terps, followed by killing the family then the terp. About the SAS, it's a simple matter of government protecting its assets, since SAS troopers take quite a lot of money to train to the required standard, as such if they can rescue an SAS trooper, that means they don't have to spend the money replacing him.

@robbieirish why should the british government spend money on pulling out civilian aid workers or peace protesters/human shields who went there of thier own volition, knew the risks and still went voluntarily. Critical difference between them and soldiers.
Also, the reason the west backs the rebels is simple. Col Q was saying on tv that they were going to massacre the rebels and thier families, so they took steps.

@krd I watched it all very closely from the beginning but have since gave up interest due to the media' spin.. Gadaffi hasn't used the words that you have quoted i.e massacre families. I'm not saying Gadaffi is a saint by any means but this war really isn't anyone else's problem anyway. It doesn't seem to be in Yemen does it. I wonder why?

I really love this song. My daughter is serving in Afghanistan as a MP and her father and I, and the whole family miss her dearly. Especially that Christmas is right around the corner. We can't wait to see her again. God bless all the troops! May they all be safe and stay strong and COME HOME soon.

I hope that, THE SOLDIERS, record this version of COMING HOME with these AMERICAN SOLDIERS, as well, both of our countrys are fighting the same campaign along side eachother.
So why should these American Soldiers not be allowed to sing with our Soldiers.
I have listened to this version 8 times now, and i cannot hear that much of a difference IF any at all that is.

Sorry but I prefer the original version with the 3 lads and cannot understand why it had to be changed for the american market. I do not deny that the american soldier have excellent voices but I just like the proper version.
My boyfriend is currently on tour in afghanistan and loves the music these 3 lads sing. So keep up the good work all those that serve, we are proud of you
