  • the lead singer looks like Jim Carrey

  • @remsleepdreamer Nope, he looks like Ted Bundy.

  • OMFG the censorship just ruined my NIGHT

  • @Garkar2006 youtube blueballs

  • This song is energizing :P

  • this song makes me wanna have a party at my house and im the life of the party

  • Local H is most awesome band, and is just the bullsh*t Hollywood/MTV system that make Eddie Vedder famous. Personal sense, dig- I cant stand Pearl Jam and think that most bands in general are ignored in favor of what counts for most commercial

mainstream type "sound". Well whatever the case- I dig Local H. Awesome band

  • @bazookajoe1944 you are an idiot.

  • @bazookajoe1944 Did you just say the Pearl Jam is commercial?

  • these guys are pretty solid..I like the heavy riffs...

but to answer the lead singers question....yes, if you were as talented as Eddie Vedder people would like you better.

  • why the fuck is anyone worrying about local h getting famous? They easily could be famous. But they are cool enough to stay true to their roots and fans. They would rather play free shows at a strack and van til parking lot in hobart than sell our some stadium for 50$ a head. fuck all you faggot losers. Local H is not only great music, but great personality and true to their fans and roots!!!!!

  • @kargath101

Shakespear got to get paid, son! If they didn't make it big they'd starve. Life is hard, especially if you survive with your rock.

  • thirty-four people don't give any fucking shit.

  • a very great song! and my fav band.

  • Love these guys (and this song) so much. It's gutting knowing I'll likely never see them live - they dont tour the UK and pretty much every fan I know of them here has been introduced to them by me

  • I agree with first post 100%!

  • my ears are ringing as i watch this because i saw them last night

  • If you was Eddie Vedder I would LOVE you forever. ... but you're NOT

  • unfortunately they'll never get famous. they've been around so long and it hasnt happened yet so its not gonna. they're my favorite band behind aerosmith though.

  • If they get famous they'll probably start to suck like so many other bands

  • HOLY SHIT! Just saw that they're playing Exit/In in Nashville, and I just fucking lost it. This it the best night of my fucking life! Got my tickets printed and now I'm ready to count down the days.

  • @jfsj513

    dude when??!!

  • @TheBabysoup April 28th. Tickets were only like 14 dollars too.

  • it's the greatest uknown band of all time

  • any 2 man band that plays this good gets my respect

  • Local H is the shit.

  • Just had to listen to something better than arcade fire for a while to relieve the brainwashing that grammy music might actually be good, besides eminem of course, but even he is sober.... :/

  • i really wish this video wasn't edited

  • Hey anyone from Chicago actually know if they are going to play New years eve next year? I heard they do it every year.

  • Gonna see them soon!!!!

  • Bound for the floor is the first album I ever purchased and still one of my favorites. Any rock fan should check it out especially 90's grunge fans. Pack up the cats also a pretty good album. The drummer in this band (Joe Daniels) is awesome! Watch him smash the shit out of those drums!!!! Seriously that's how its done!

  • Decent band that deserved more recognition. They had the bad luck to come out on the ass end of grunge.

  • Yeah. I agree. Eddie Vedder Sucks!

  • @Lunatic4Bizcas Eddie Vedder is the shittt

  • IM IN LOVEEEEE! AND THIS IS EDDIE VEDDER?

  • @tcloudx3

that is the name of the song. neither man is eddie vedder

  • @uncool13 i feel dumb now, i love eddie vedder too, i thought the song was called Local H, by eddie vedder. a younger version of course

  • F*** Deathcore, F*** metalcore, F*** modern metal, F*** emo... the 90s is where the parties at ^^

  • the white guy looks like william dafoe.

  • @leftydog11 wow you totally failed to realize that the inflection in verbal sarcasm does not translate into text

  • @leftydog11 wow you totally gave an example of what the song was trying to say...good job

  • @tcdahn7 I thought his chick slept with eddie vedder, and so he said, "that's it I quit I don't give a shit"?

  • @CelticFireChild ..sounds plausible. this came out during pearl jam's johnny appleseed days...so why not.

  • This was filmed @ House of Blues in Chicago.

  • Wait, he doesn't give a what??

  • 32 people on youtube are stupid! this song kicks ASS!!!

  • like Local H? check out PEAL. search PealForReal here on youtube.

  • I think the best thing about Local H, is that they had the bare essentials for a rock band; vocal, guitarist, drummer, in two guys.

  • awesome song by an awesome band! Shame they wont come to australia

  • I LOVE LOCAL H! This song is brilliant!

  • Fuck censorship!

  • An awesome 2-man-band.

  • I always think about these lyrics when a chick wants to put me on friend status. I dont want another friend, got too many friends. haha

  • @ChonnyChimole amen!

  • @ChonnyChimole without a doubt dude, same here......

  • hmm, not bad

  • how did 31 people dislike this

they must have hit the wrong button or something

  • awesome

  • 90s rock MOFOS.

  • Censorship is fucking pathetic. Protecting people from being offended is like not allowing small men to buff up at the gym.

  • @Meta1Head91 ...or it's like not being allowed to video tape a UFO while eating at Subway ...WTF man ???

  • @gynecolog1st I'm sorry? Do you only listen to hip hop and rap or something? That would be the only explanation to me. The modern generi-music sucks.

  • @Sh0ckth3r4pygames As you put it, generi-music suck, from all times, not just modern. People could have said the same thing of the 90s if they hadn't heard of Local H. You don't know what you are missing dude. Look up Brand New and prepare for your life to change.

  • @smokeldogg Ya Brand New is an excellent band. I always liked Queens Of The Stone Age too. Feel free to disagree

  • @gynecolog1st learn to spell

  • @salamisandwhich101 know !!!...u learrn two spell....

  • They dont make music like this anymore.....

    Zion, Illinois' best power duo!

  • this band is friggin awesome i will like to make a band like this .

  • i dont think this song has any deep rooted meaning or anything....im not 100% sure but it just sounds like a girl who doesnt like him and hes asking if he was eddie veder would she like him any better? people always try to think there is some profound meaning in songs...just listen to the music

  • Local H was and is a fucking cool rock and roll band.

  • whats this song about plus this is a song that get can get stuck in your head all day....i like that kick ass.

  • yep. vintage 90s rock right here.

  • that's it. i quit. i don't... give a shyt. i've always lurved this song

  • Awesome show @ CC lastnight guys!! Rocked out!

  • Wow, this sounds a lot different from what I remember of it.

  • Next saturday- Canopy Club in Chmpaign IL- Local H!!!

  • @splsafari82 YES!!! probably going

  • why cant local h be famous? they make great music, they play on talk shows, scott lucas plays a hybrid guitar/bass, their music is on a video game, their always playing concerts, when will they get their big break?

  • @death377 as awesome as that would be, local h not being huge makes them who they are!

  • Comment removed

  • @death377 they have more than fame, they have passion and conviction. if they were famous they'd have to worry about conforming into watered down top 40 standards. being an underrated band, they get to always stand for what they truly mean. i was privileged to see them twice last weekend and there was no compromise or tepidness to their sets. they were true. that's all us real rock fans can ask for, or want. if they were mainstream everyone would lose, us and their integrity. sad but true.

  • @death377 they already had it it was called the late 90s i think anyhow saw them last week or so in hobart IN and they still got it

  • yep, there's no doubt - 90's were the best decade for rock. and this song's not that bad. but I fuckin don't get the meaning! as a huge fan of PJ and Eddie, I'd say it's crap if it REALLY is some kinda irony... cuz vedder kicks asses for years...

  • check out scott's interview posted by bombers66

  • check out scott's interview posted by bombers66

  • i wish i grew up with this kind of rock and not that white chapel shit and scream o music that stuff makes rock look worse

  • i love this song

  • Man good times...this album ..and the Weezer blue album..some kick ass music

  • Comment removed

  • They haven't split up. They have an official website. The last album they released was 12 Angry Months in 2008. Not sure why you can't find them ...

  • @MattStait what is the website called

  • @clapton121

I can't post a link so just Google Local H.

  • best rock songs ever i think i am not even playing. i loved alternative and i went to high school 95-99.

  • o shit he looks like lionel richie lol

  • joe is one of the only black people that likes rock music, yet there are a bunch of white people that like rap music

  • you must be some fat guy 13 year that lives in bowie texas am i right

  • You're a moron

  • one of the greatest OLD white stripes i would say would be number one. Whch Local h isnt anything alike them

  • greatest 2 man band there ever was :)))

  • Well lets not get ahead of ourselves.. lol.. But they we're pretty kick ass

  • @jaay334 even better than the Pet Shop Boys?

  • @jaay334 I dont know about that. These guys are good but the White strips are better.

  • @eightday I like both, but for me Local H is better :)

  • @jaay334

Come to Chicago, They are playing this... next Friday!

  • @PuppyLove7512 Where? I know they are playing 115 Burbon St Tonite

  • @a23mar4 Sorry.. Friday, Saturday... LOL I don't have a 9 to 5 right now so all the days just kinda run together.

Yes, it was Last night at Bourbon Street. And it was a great show! With only a $10 cover You can't beat that!

BourbanStreet has all Ages of people. The younger folks didn't even know "Fritz's Corner" and "Bound for the Floor". And I'm sure they don't know Joe was ever in the Band. What ever happened to Joe? He's probably selling VacumnCleaners door to door. lol

    What a Waste! ;)

  • @PuppyLove7512 Yep. Couldnt make it wife had to work and its almost a two hour drive south for me. We are going to the NYE show at bottomlounge though. Idk bout joe.

  • @PuppyLove7512 Joe runs a children's clothing store in Chicago.

  • I wouldn't say it's all bad, but the 90's are the best decade for all forms of rock

  • @cortXjester301 I'm with you on that.

  • @cortXjester301 yes yes & yes

  • i hope you're joking

  • @cortXjester301 : i wish there was a gigantic questionmark next to the thumb signs.

Hendrix. Want to rethink your "best decade for all forms of rock" ????????????

*slams head into cement wall multiple times*

  • @cortXjester301 : i wish there was a gigantic questionmark next to the thumb signs. Hendrix. Cream. The Who. Rolling Stones. Pixies. Clash. Velvet Underground. The Kinks. Crass. Black Flag. and on and on the list could go. Want to rethink your "best decade for all forms of rock" ???????????? *slams head into cement wall multiple times*
  • @waelkyrie I love all those bands too, and I agree that overall there's no "best" decade for rock or music in general. But I think he means that in terms of mainstream acceptance, the 90s were great for alternative rock kind of music.

  • @waelkyrie Local H, Sponge, Toadies, Silverchair, Seven Mary Three, Spacehog, Primitive Radio Gods, Lemonheads, Our Lady Peace, Oleander, The Nixons, The Verve Pipe, Tripping Daisy, School of Fish, Catherine Wheel, Fountains of Wayne and tons more I don't have room for. These bands were all sadly overlooked in the 90's which easily could have made the era more apreciated. I for one love the 90's the most. On the other hand Pixies probably influenced all the bands mentioned above....

  • @DX4LIFFE The Posies were more popish, but for alternative their stuff was pretty great.

  • @cortXjester301 I think its the early years of each decade. Look at 2000 to 2004.

Jack White, Velvet Revolver, Linkin Park, Sick Puppies. Whether you like the music or not at least these groups rocked unlike today's Lady Ga Ga and J BEAVER lol

  • @cortXjester301 SPLENDER!!!!!

  • I forget which album this is off of.

  • As good as dead. Like in this song.

  • stuckers

  • It would be awesome to see Joe and Scott playing side by side again, even if it was just one song. Local H!!

  • whats this song about??

  • Scott Weiland

  • lol

  • I got an idea... Eddie Vedder??

  • I don't get it.

  • nice simple video. i like it. and the song.

  • They still kick ass saw at the Thunderbird in st louis a month ago rocked for more than hour i miss the 90 s can't alot was high through most of it

  • If Vedder's such a legend why isn't he dead?

  • @Pagan72

    Living legend, duh

  • are you retarded?

  • That's kinda half the point of the song, isn't it?

  • I heard High-fiving MF on the radio, and loved this band ever since.

  • hmmmm I like this band

  • yea I'm really pissed that I haven't heard about these guys sooner, they're pretty sweet, I like high fiving mf alot too

  • Hmmm.... Do I HAVE to Take Madison Parker Out For A Date?

    ...

    ...

    ?

  • Seems like anyone outside of the midwest missed out on this band----- really sad

  • @wreklessabandon i saw them in jersey probably 7 or 8 years ago. the opening band was chevelle.

  • yea chevelle! yea local h, saw them in merrionette park, IL this past weekend

  • bet that was a great show!! I saw them at rockfest here and once at a bar with a local band called cruxed!!

  • Seen Chevelle open up for them in Atlanta about that time.

  • @Jonste24 Chevelle actually opened up for Local H?

I had no idea Local H was that big. It must have been in Chevelle's early days.

  • @TheObserver121 Yep, Chevelle put on a good show though.

  • @wreklessabandon I agree most ppl don't know about this great band..im from los angeles so ya...i have heard of them ;)..my bro introduced this band to me back in the days. Takes me back to my kid days of the 90's...o man todays so CALLED great bands can't even compare with the 90's NON big famous bands.

  • ya no kidding these guys would be huge now. todays music blows. Other groups were so good back then these guys had some strrrrrroooonggggg competition

  • @wreklessabandon

naw, I knew of this band back in high school, and im in San Francisco. really dug some of their stuff.

  • When were you in High school?

  • 93'-98'

  • Okay yeah I liked then in high school also which was about 98-99

  • This is one of the first songs I ever liked. I grew up listening to this band, and loving it.

  • I love Local H, I'm surprised they were not bigger than they were (not that it is a bad thing.) I'm not old, but this song makes me feel old. In 10 years, It will REALLY make me feel old. I often share this song at campfires and jam sessions and very few people know whom it is, but EVERYONE loves it. Local H will always be one of those bands in the back of my mind. Long live rock...

  • true

  • I seen this group over 10 times growing up in HS I still love them wonder if they are still touring and performing any shows anyone know

  • they where less than a year ago.

  • I just saw them this past weekend! at the clearwater in west dundee, IL

  • @Lithium101

I was at that show too, like how Scott said that he sounds like "funkhouser" because he was sick.

  • oh Local H... one of the best parts of growing up in the 90's

  • i miss the old drummer. i love this video so much. its so relevant to the song. like how they struggle to play through the crowd. i love when the drumset takes off and the singer is still in the background . you can almost hear the girl scream "i love you"

  • The lyrics is what makes this song man.

    :-/

  • almost every day this passed summer, i would wake up at around 5 am and put on this band. i really don't know why. i just think they're a good morning band.

  • i honestly dont think this is grunge

  • it's not. it's really more post-grunge. this band was one of those stepping-stone bands who began the whole post-grunge scene.

  • it sorta is, they're influenced by Nirvana and Radiohead, as weird as it sounds. Haha. Look at their bio and blogs on MySpace and stuff..I forgot where else to look for it all.

  • fuck yeah grunge on

  • 1:14 is me patting the lead singer on the back

  • That's pretty cool

  • <333

    "Okay - I understand

But I dont want to be your friend

    I dont need another friend

    Ive got too many friends

    If I was eddie vedder

    Wo
