  • Netflix UK does not only have old films like many people on here have said.

    ,

It actually has only BAD old films.

    .

It's like looking through the bargain bin of a video store... And you'd likely save money by buying these crapsicles on dvd off of ebay for 50p each.

  • I don't know why people saying netflix is bad? In my opinion I think it's absalutely amazing, I don't really care what genre tbh. They have some great films and updating them. I don't see why everyone is complaining about how old the movies are? it's £6 a month in the UK? and people are moaning.. and it's legal? people need to stop crying and be greatful for netflix.

  • I love some of the old films but thus far Netflix (Ireland) is 10% worth watching, 90% rubbish. I will have watched the 10% real soon unless they begin to update. We need some more of the old films I reckon, as todays crap is formulaic and designed to brainwash and films such as Misery are great (one of the 10% on offer). Kick up a fuss folks and they may heed!

  • All it has is old films!

  • It's only just been released so give it a chance to get more stuff - i'm glad the movies are slightly older as most new movies suck - I have just got into weeds on it - how have I missed this in my life?!?! <3

  • biggest pile of rubbish netflix is , mostly films that are 3 or 4 years old, poor selection,

  • @catscantfly So? it's £6 a month and there updating movies? stop being a complete faggot.

  • Netflix in the UK is shit, just cancelled it, no decent movies, literally only one decent movie in each genre

  • @ryanbanksryan true most of the film i saw on netflix the ones you see for £3 in supermarkets lmao.

  • That was great news along with the Hedge fund manager who said NFLX looked like a great buyout. Those 2 pieces of info made the stock go up that day almost $12 and i was there to capitalize on that gain. I made good money that day. Bought at approximately 88.50 and sold at about 98+. According to charts analysis that i only started to look at that day, the charts were saying at $75 was a time to start buying NFLX. Long term, i see netflix back at $200 mark.

  • If the US NetFlix had the same 'content' as the UK then they wasted the Blockbuster bosses with a cheap production mafia shot. WHAT IS THIS? Do Netflix really want me to tell my friends its content is similar to the worst Satellite options with a really bad and basic UI? I always thought first impressions were important. What were they thinking?. I signed up with eager anticipation but was shocked at the complete lack of anything.

  • They will probably take away the free month trial once they add more content.

  • all i have to say its amazing they have at least 100 films and its obviously worth 5.99 a month and they will bring more to it ;)

  • NETFLIX NEED STO ADD MORE FILMS IN IRELAND VERY LOW SELECTION HERE IF DONT DO BETTER IM CANCELLING AMERICA HAS BETTER RANGE OF FILMS.

  • my co-worker's ex-wife makes $76 every hour on the internet. She has been fired for 8 months but last month her income was $8437 just working on the internet for a few hours. Read more on this site... .LazyCash1[dot]com

  • I don't see much on Netflix that I can't already get on Lovefilm. I've had their £4.99 Instant service since it was launched in Xbox in November and its great - lots more movies than Netflix and a lot more recent stuff. Thinking of upgrading so I can get new releases on Bluray and games rental too. Looking at some of the comments below they sound like there's a few rose-tinted specs being worn. What's more, I'd rather support a home grown UK brand, even if they are owned by Amazon.

  • netflix would be for me but there is not that many movies on netflix so im staying with lovefilm untill they fix up there amount dvds

  • I have started the free trail of Netflix this morning and so far it seems great. LoveFilm never attracted me as the amount/quality of content didn't seem to be worth the price. However Netflix looks fantastic and has so much content. I will definitely be continuing after the free trial.

  • I'm finding Netflix to be brilliant in the uk do far. I won't be cancelling when my free trial ends.

  • @lhawksey Maybe you could help me? I'm having an issue getting my free trial started. When I punched in my Visa numbers, it wasn't accepted on the Netflix site for some reason. Could this just be because it's still fairly new to the region?

  • Loving Netflix so far. It's about time LoveFilm was shown to be the pants service that it is. Looking forward to more movies coming soon

  • America* xD

  • CAN'T... STOP... WATCHING....MOVIES..!!!!!!!! i fucking LOVE netflix thanks American :D

  • Weeds...just for example is only up to season 3 on netflix over here in Ireland....that is not worth paying for. It better get better...soon.

  • Love Netflix! Lovefilm was crap. Thanks Netflix :)

  • tried both, used lovefilms free trial, did not watch any films as the quality was crap as was the streaming and selection of titles

on my 2nd day of free trial for netflix so far and all i can say is that if lovefilm were ever to be in trouble as far as competition goes they surely will be in trouble now, in short, lovefilm is crap and netflix is awesome

  • wtf why do north america get more movie choices

  • @SOCKIEtheMONSTER because they get everything better then us, the choices to watch on demand on Netflix UK are very weak, which was the prime reason why I stopped paying for Lovefilm and this is the main reason I won't be signing up to Netflix anytime soon

  • @SOCKIEtheMONSTER OMG i think we have a great choice of stuff, they will add more in the future.

  • YES!

  • Reed Hastings is fucking idiot.
