I have an iphone 3g on 3.0 that was jailbroken. It froze up and now says connect to itunes. when i try to restore and update to make it work again i get the 1600 errors!!! what can I do. I tried EVERYTHING to get it to work again. I'm not using ATT. Please email me asap!

hi, I have an iPhone 2G running on OS 2.2.1. It's unlocked and jailbroken. I want to update to OS 3.1, unlock it and jailbreak it. I have Windows Vista. I have 3 questions:

1) Can I follow the instructions on this video even if I have an OS 2.2.1, or should I have 3.0 first?

2) Will the Phone server name be on the top left corner or will it just disappear?

3) Is this the official jailbreak, or would you recomend me to wait?
