CasperCee.....I love your style, my man. There are just too many socialist ass clowns and they need to be severely beat down. They wouldn't make a scab on a decent American's ass. To hell with them all.
@GutpileCharlie It's the fucking progressive, socialists that are destroying America and they have been doing for many years. Woodrow Wilson and FDR set the ball rolling downhill with all the entitlement programs and the liberal Democrats keep pushing down the hill even faster.
@xvizionsx Who the hell are you? Why don't you post your educational resume? Eastwood is too ironic, subtle, and sophisticated for a dope such as yourself?
@TuffEnuffIII THATS FUNNY... MAYBE IF YOU GOT OUT OF YOUR RUSH LIMBAUGH/FOX NEWS BUBBLE FOR 5 MINUTES YOU WOULD KNOW THAT OBAMA IS POLLING ABOUT TWICE AS HIGH AS BUSH WAS IN HIS PRESIDENCY. MORE AMERICANS ALSO BLAME BUSH FOR OUR STRUGGLING ECONOMY THAN OBAMA. GET A CLUE BEFORE YOU START THROWING UP ALL OVER YOURSELF. JUST A WORD OF ADVICE.
LOL... you Libtarded fools sure get your panties up in a bunch about Fox news... LOL!! whats the matter? Does the TRUTH HURT? Haaaaa haaaaaaa.... First off, I dont *NEED* Fox news to tell me anything I dont already know. CLINTON started this "downfall" of the economy when he and the other libtards in office wanted "everybody to have a home.... even if they cant afford it" <- BUSH had nothing to do with it.
@xvizionsx I live in the cook county area, the LIBTARDED cesspool of politics. I see, FIRST HAND, what LIBERAL-OVERTAXING politics does to an economy. The MOST popular sign in a commercial space around here is... "FOR LEASE" . We are getting TAXED to DEATH around here, to pay for their mistakes. They have been chasing businesses away for years...and there is no end in sight. "Taking from the rich and giving to the poor" is a fairy tale, it doesnt work in real life. The rich will just leave.
You must live in China then, here... in America... things are pretty screwed up. Not only do conservatives hate Obummer... even the liberals have had enough. Ron Paul is the answer for getting out of the "war" business and to keep government out of the business/corporate pockets. Ron Paul 2012
@TuffEnuffIII I live in america idiot. Conservatives always ruin the white house history has shown that republicans always ruin the economy. he will end the war but put us in debt and fuck us up even more. At least were better than with Obama because were slowly recovering The unemployment rate went down and our health care is better.
You are a fool... both sides of the isle have ruined us. Obummer has spent us into hell. His "health care" had very little to do with health care and did not make any of it affordable. Look up a video called "The American Dream by Provocateur" (yes, its a cartoon but, it will show you whats up) Once you see that, you will understand why we need Ron Paul. His goal is to end the Fed. <- Which has enslaved this country and it is NOT a government branch.
@TuffEnuffIII No actually bush spent almost all the debt. His laws that the republican wont let Obama get rid of are creating more debt also. Thats like if i rent you my house and i make you pay for my faulty wiring. Your right it didnt make it more affordable it made it free and its already taking effect with free birth control pills. its the bets health care bill to come along in a long time and i know if im in a coma they wont kill me now.
I posted a cartoon so *YOU* could understand it... moron. If you are going to argue with me, dont make stuff up. Obamacare isnt free it's MANDITORY and if you dont have the MANDITORY health insurance, the IRS will fine you $750 for the first year and over $1200 for the second year that you dont have it. The sooner you libtards figure out that NOTHING is free, you'll understand why Liberalism/socialism is killing this country. Now, go get a job and *earn* your way
@TuffEnuffIII im a grown ass man why the fuck would i wanna watch a fucking cartoon. Obama care makes many medical based things free like birth control. id rather pay 1200$ then to die because i didn't have healthcare. conservatives and republicans have a record of destroying our country's economy and spending up the ass. and they will do it again. this has nothing to do with liberals or socialists.
@lordnocts ... OMG are you dumb... 1. I posted the cartoon, because you are too stupid to understand any other way. 2. You ONLY pay the $1200 fine if you DONT have health insurance. 3. Paying the fine is LESS than paying the health insurance premiums, so, it's not about having HC and it doesnt make HC free, it just makes it mandatory. 4 if you are a grown man, why do you need birth control?
@TuffEnuffIII O yes of course facts are stupid im stupid for mentioning facts.are you telling me that you pay more if you do then if you do not that's stupid
@TuffEnuffIII what the fuck did you just say did you just fucking ask me why a grown man needs birth control. maybe because he doesn't want to in pregnant a girl. btw men don't use birth control you fucking idiot
@TuffEnuffIII They are against clean energy which can give Americans millions of jobs but there for they key stone pipeline which will destroy millions because of how many jobs it does. republicans are against human progress. By the way the video no shit i already knew this. that problem was created by republicans. mainly by bush.
@lordnocts stop watching CNN mr. "Bush blamer" , the problem started long before him and BOTH SIDES are responsible! The sooner you figure that out, the sooner you'll understand whats going on. Until then, just note: NOTHING is FREE and a government big enough to give you everything you need is also big enough to TAKE AWAY everything you have. Ron Paul 2012!
@TuffEnuffIII i don t watch the media or the news. no both sides are not responsible. its mainly the conservatives giving tax cuts to the wealthy but then cutting unemployment benefits. the government isn't giving you everything you want they just give you what a government should. like making sure if your job is lost you don't starve and you can keep a house.
Ron Paul wants to get rid of fucking FEMA that's insane. who also says that god talked to im. just watch this
most of what he says is right you like the guy but his policy... but many experts outside the US have said that what he inherited from George W would take 2 and a half terms to get the economy under control.
Clint makes my day. He's right to say Obama's surrounded himself with the wrong people (i.e. Wall St scum left-over from George W's maladministration). But that's what the US has become: the last great
POTUS was FDR. We need another one before this country goes down the drain.
Here here, man. When FDR died, that's when America started losing its way.
We could do much worse that Obama still (e.g., Rick Perry) but it's vital to hold the President's feet to the fire. Too many celebrity's (independents included) are afraid to challenge the man in the highest office in the land, because his Presidency is so "historic." What's important is to realize the President is just a man, and in charge of the latest Empire currently in sharp decline.
Actually JFK could have become the new FDR, hence his predictable demise. Few people know this, but attempts were made to assassinate him, and a fascist coup was hatched to depose him by big biz but was foiled by a patriot called Gen. Smedley Butler, a war hero and author of War is a Racket. Ain't that the truth.
Hard to say! I will eventually read more into it, but I've yet to be convinced JFK had plans to pull U.S. out of Vietnam. Brother Bobby was a Cold Warrior for certain, and he definitely approved of John Kennedy's escalation of the Vietnam conflict.
I did know about the attempted coup on F.D.R. and Smedley Butler's history (thanks to Janeane Garofalo, ca. '04,) and it's frightening now that they don't even need assassination, it's so fixed.
@FungusMossGnosis It's complicated but JFK and RFK changed politically, I believe. There is ample literature on the subject: JFK wanted out by 65, before the war was escalated.
@FungusMossGnosis Bobby Kennedy definitely evolved; initially supportive of Vietnam adventurism in '61 and '62, he had grown skeptical by '63 and by '66, he'd publicly turned against the war.
@FungusMossGnosis As for JFK, there's no way of knowing what he would have done, but in my opinion, he was less likely to have followed the path eventually embraced by LBJ in Vietnam. JFK was more cerebral, more secure, and better able to understand that bravado isn't toughness; see the Cuban Missile Crisis where he stood up to the generals.
Obama is a well educated, very intelligent guy with a pretty decent sense of humor. But when all is said and done he's a politician. I think that Ron Paul guy might be an interesting choice in 2012.
to super omnicorn, have fun where you are. good luck. The thing folks leave out is that we always find out the truth...jfk,,,vietnam...wwII,,,,hoover,,,they were all exposed,,,and if there are treacheries involved w/ 9/11 they will be discovered,,,but these are minor problems,,compared to,,stalin killing 50million of his own people...pol pot...hitler...need i go on?
you guys are dumb if you think any of you can do better none of you can so shut the fuck up just cause hes president dont mean he can say something and it will happen he has too go too congress it a big fucking process so those who know nothing about what obama doing shut the fuck up cause you cant do any better and your not as smart as him and you just sound stupid if you think you can do better
@2424pook Any person with BRAINS can do better than Obama. Only an IDIOT would raise our debt ceiling to spend more money when our national debt is over $14 trillion; Only an anti-America fool would sue TWO STATES for passing laws that protect their borders and the border of America from illegals & terrorists; Only a complete moron would take $862 billion of our tax dollars, call it a stimulus and promise jobs then use that money to pay off his union buddies.
@CasperCee ...uh Donald Duck wouldnt do a better job, Ron Paul would. This is all by design. Obama was selected, not elected...after Bush, they would put up a charismatic left wing ideologue that would promise things ,but not fulfill one goddamn thing, period. Didnt close Gitmo, didnt get out of Iraq, didnt repeal or scale down NAFTA...of course he raised the debt ceiling, he put members of Goldman Sachs in his cabinet including Larry Summer, T.Geithner...U.S. is finished.
@CasperCee Obviously, you're the idiot because you don't understand what the debt ceiling actually happens to be and the nature of economics and all the factors behind the debt.
@2424pook Only IDIOTS would think Obama is smart. He sealed his school records. YOU HAVE NO WAY TO PROVE HE IS SMART! HE DID NOT HAVE HIGH ENOUGH GRADES AT COLUMBIA TO MAKE IT INTO HARVARD!!! If you took some time and did some research on how Obama got into Harvard, you would know that Obama is a fraud and a liar. You would know that for his entire life Obama was surrounded by anti-American people & was mentored by a member of the Communist Party USA.
@CasperCee ...not Communists....THE CIA. His mother worked for USAID, which was a CIA front, His Grandmother worked for a lawfirm that was a front for laundering money for South East Asian Dictators like Suharto (Indonesia) and Marcos (Phillippines), her bank was also embroiled in financial schemes with the Nugan Hand Bank in Australia, which led to a death of banker in the early 80s. Stanley Ann Dunham's paymaster was Peter Geithner, the father of current Treasury Secretary, Timothy Geithner
@CasperCee ... uh, no. Almost assuredly, I'm much better educated than you and you should be a pupil of mine, but I can't prove it over the Internet.
Contrary to the indication of your original post, the debt ceiling is raised for money already spent, not money to be spent in the future. Ronald Reagan raised the debt ceiling eighteen times and the debt is largely rising due to factors that do not stem from Obama. Those factors are as follow ...
@ChandlerPol You're more educated than me? Do you actually think Reagan wanted to raise the debt ceiling? Reagan warned that raising the debt ceiling could force America to default. He further stated that a default would hurt our credit rating and hurt the value of the dollar.
It's obvious Obama doesn't care about those issues. He's already had our credit rating dropped twice and several countries are not using the dollar for bilateral trade.
@CasperCee He raised the debt ceiling eighteen times because he combined massive, regressive tax cuts that disproportionately favored the wealthy with massive military spending. As George H.W. Bush virtually predicted during the 1980 GOP primaries, Reagan forced himself into a corner thanks to what Bush described as "voodoo economics," the ridiculous belief that one could sharply cut taxes, escalate military spending, and still balance the budget. Reagan's ignorance is to blame.
@CasperCee I was referring to your original post, not your comments from last night. The point is that Reagan raised the debt ceiling eighteen times and George W. Bush raised the debt ceiling seven times due primarily to their unsound fiscal decisions. Did you know that during Reagan's presidency, the national debt nearly tripled? You have to be objective.
@ChandlerPol It's clear as day you read and interpret things the way you want to see them. It's also clear that you are trying to defend Obama, his wasting of our tax dollars on solar energy companies that go bankrupt, on his aid to Brazil to help them with their oil drilling while putting moratoriums on ours, on starting a costly and illegal war in Libya, his ObamaCare that is going to add another $4 trillion to our national debt after being implemented, and on his wasted stimulus program.
@CasperCee According to the CBO, the stimulus has saved or created millions of jobs. One can still debate the overall wisdom of the policy, but to simply label it "wasted" is simplistic. The CBO also estimated that the health care bill would reduce the national debt by over $1 trillion a twenty-year span.
@CasperCee As for Libya, the debate is a good one, but the French and British were the ones who really pushed for the intervention and were you also so dubious of Bush's war in Iraq, Bush Senior's invasion of Panama, and Reagan's invasion of Grenada?
@CasperCee What's clear is that you're a simpleton, a demagogue, a right-wing tool, and a deductive thinker who offers fatuous assumptions. Conversely, I'm objective and there are certainly areas where Obama can be criticized, but I'm not going to falsely distort the debt issue to fit your partisan ignornace. Obama deserves some blame for the debt, but so do plenty of other people and factors that hat predated him, including your conservative gods such as Reagan.
@loliong With a reply like that, you are obviously a liberal idiot who has your head shoved so far up your ass (or your boyfriend's ass) that you have NEVER done a day of listening to the news or doing a single amount of research on anything for your entire life.
@CasperCee If you had done YOUR research, you would know that (according to the CBO, not me) the bill will cut the deficit by $70 Billion in its first decade, and $1.2 Trillion in its second decade. Maybe if Fox News wasn't your only source, you would know that. Do everyone a favor and stop voting, scumbag.
@loliong ....who has promised to give Brazil $20 billion of our tax dollars to help them with their drilling for oil while putting moratoriums on our offshore drilling causing many American oil companies to either close or move to foreign countries and lose American jobs;
It's fucking idiots like you who are too STUPID to be allowed to vote!!!
@loliong ……who has RAISED our unemployment since being in office; who has broken the foreclosure record SIX TIMES; who has put more people on welfare than any other time in American history; who has sued TWO U.S. states for passing laws that protect our border and our country; who has turned away an opportunity to help our oil supply and create 12,000 jobs;
@loliong You are obviously another brain-dead liberal moron who is not competent enough to know why the fraud and liar YOU VOTED for keeps on raising our debt limit: TO FURTHER PUT AMERICA INTO FINANCIAL RUIN!!!! Only an idiot like you would support a man who has had our national credit rating dropped TWICE; …….
@loliong "Obamacare's employer mandate requiring employers to buy the most expensive employee health insurance are just further effective tax increases."
"From HarperCollins, America’s Ticking Bankruptcy Bomb, close analysis contrary of the CBO score and other new numbers indicate that Obamacare will likely add $4 to $6 trillion to the deficit over the next 20 years."
@loliong "…which estimates based on all the factors that ObamaCare will add $4 trillion to $6 trillion to federal deficits and debt over the first 20 years of full implementation."
"…President Obama's economic policies have us on course for just such another recession by 2013, if not sooner. In that year the top tax rates for virtually every major federal tax are already scheduled under current law to shoot up, with the ObamaCare tax increases going into effect."
@loliong "On our current course, CBO projects the national debt held by the public will climb to 100% of GDP by 2021, equal to our entire economy. By 2023, it will break the World War II historical record of 109% of GDP. It will then continue to rocket upward to 190% of GDP by 2035, which is higher than the level suffered by Greece when it collapsed into national bankruptcy."
@CasperCee I know which figure you're referring to, I found the same page. Our debt will only expand that quickly if tax revenue remains unchanged, the Bush tax cuts are extended again, and savings by ObamaCare aren't extended. Since brain dead conservatives such as yourself will ensure the above three things happen, I guess its on you guys to come up with a better solution.
@loliong In June of 2009, America was 12.6 million jobs short of full employment. In January 2012, after 31 months of Obama's "recovery", we are 15.2 million jobs away from full employment. That is 2.6 million LESS JOBS since when Obama took office!!!!
If Obama's plans could have produced real recovery, they would have done so by now. They HAVE NOT FIXED ANYTHING!!!!
@loliong When Obama and his ship of fools pushed Obama's $787 billion stimulus, they said unemployment would drop to 6.4% by January 2012. Did it drop? NO. IT HAS RISEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO RISE, YET THE LIARS IN THE WHITE HOUSE TELL AMERICA IT'S FALLING!!!!! Obama's "recovery plan" has been the SLOWEST ECONOMIC RECOVER in U.S. history!!! From the employment perspective, there has BEEN NO RECOVERY AT ALL!!!!
@loliong When Obama took office in Jan. 2009, unemployment was 7.8 and the labor force participation rate was 65.7%. In January, the labor force participation was only 63.7%…. a difference of 4.8 million people! That means the Obama administration DID NOT COUNT 4.8 MILLION PEOPLE who were unemployed!!!!
@loliong It's obvious you watch ONLY THE LIBERAL NEWS, that won't tell you THE TRUTH about the unemployment under Obama.
The REAL unemployment rate for January 2012 is 22.5%, NOT 8.3% like the Obama liars tell you.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics only reported the U3 unemployment. They DO NOT INCLUDE the U6 unemployment numbers. For the last 31 months, millions of people have been dropping out of the labor force because they cannot find jobs.
@CasperCee No, I agree, the unemployment rate is bad. But to be fair, Obama inherited the presidency while the US was losing 800,000 non-farm payrolls per month.
But I agree on the stimulus, it seems like it was a pretty inefficient use of money.
@loliong That all changed in 2006 when the Democrats took control in 2006. Unemployment jumped to 7.8 and during Bush's 2nd term he had record foreclosures.
Then Obama entered the White House with the same Democrat controlled House and Senate and took unemployment to over 10. Then in 2010, the Republicans took control of Congress, did not allow Obama & the Democrats to pass all they wanted and unemployment has been on a slow decline since 2010.
@CasperCee The situation with the economy hasn't really been changed by Congress or the President. Although the recession could have been avoided had the Republicans not deregulated the mortgage market, the economy has recovered more or less without the help of Congress
@loliong - Who backed, supported and praised subprime lenders (like Fannie & Freddie)?
- Who represented ACORN when they sued Citibank (under CRA and 'redlining') to force them into making subprime loans setting up America for financial meltdown?
-Which president warned about about the economic crisis of subprime lending and tried to stop legislation of Fannie & Freddie?
- Which party has stopped efforts to stop the meltdown?
@loliong -Barack Obama represented ACORN in 1994 when they sued Citibank under the CRA and redlining (accusing banks of using racism to NOT give loans to black and minorities)
- BOTH George W. Bush and John McCain gave many warnings of the financial dangers and risks of subprime lending
- Democrats (led by Barney Frank) ignored the warnings from Bush & McCain
@loliong -Bill Clinton revised the CRA by making banks meet a quota for a certain number of low income loans, allowing consumer banks to merge with insurance companies (telling banks that if they wanted to be allowed to make money off the investments off of the investments of the rich, they had to also be lending money to the poor)
- DEMOCRATS supported, defended and DENIED about any problems with Fannie & Freddie and other subprime lenders
@loliong I made a mistake. I meant $2 billion, not $20. But he lost almost $3 BILLION OF OUR TAX DOLLARS on 15 (or was it 17) different solar powered companies. US taxpayers lost $1.3 billion on Obama's Chrysler bailout and another $14 billion has been lost to GM!
Anyway you look at it, Obama is LOSING MONEY FOR ALL OF AMERICA!
1. We never gave Brazil $20 billion. You may be referring to the $2 billion loan we gave to a Brazilian company, or the oil exploration agreement we made with Brazil. The former was a loan made by a bank run by Bush era officials, and the latter is just good sense, so I don't know what you're complaining about.
2. You trust a book written by a conservative sensationalist over the CBO? Seriously?
3. The jobless rate is on the way down, quite a change from when the GOP lost power.
@CasperCee A) Obama inherited an economy shedding jobs at a furious rate, a situation that significantly reduced the federal government's tax revenue and thus inflated the debt. Moreover, to try and combat the spiking unemployment and the resultant loss of revenue, Obama authorized the expensive stimulus package. One can criticize that measure (which proved more successful than many imagine), but it stemmed solely from the calamitous economy that Obama inherited.
@CasperCee B) Obama inherited two wars and a bloated Defense Department. Aside from Social Security and Medicare, the largest source of federal expenditure is military spending and that outlay dwarfs welfare-oriented spending, which represents only a marginal proportion of the budget.
@CasperCee C) Obama inherited Medicare, signed into law by Lyndon Johnson in 1965 and expanded by George W. Bush in 2003. Obama trimmed $500M from Medicare in his health care bill, but the overall cost of health care in this country is grossly inflated due to a private insurance oligopoly that creates a rigged market marked by narrow supply and limited consumer mobility.
@CasperCee The problem stems from the federal government rendering health insurance tax-exempt for employers during World War II, an exemption that made sense at that time yet now proves archaic and costly.
D) Obama inherited Bush's bailout of the big banks.
@CasperCee E) Obama inherited Bush's multiple regressive tax cuts that disproportionately favored the wealthy and stripped the federal government of the revenue that had the country on track to pay off its national debt.
So the reasons for the rising debt prove far more complex and multifaceted than simplistically blaming Obama. Ignorance does not constitute knowledge and engaging in demagoguery does not equate with comprehensive and authentic understanding.
@ddirtydave leftist policies arent leftist policies. The left and right are two sides of the same corrupt coin. I think you should already know this by now.
@SuperOmnicron ..nope..too easy....the far left is communism.....the far right is oligarchy...we got the checks and balances right here in the u.s....they are not the same,,,,ron paul is right on everything,,,,all issues. we vote here...it's just time for a change..what country are you moving to if this one is so bad?
@ddirtydave ... i already live in another country , and i left America years ago. I will say that if it can get the banks in order, restore Glass-Stegall, audit the Federal Reserve, and find a way to re-start its Economy, it will be ok again. We have "checks and balances", right? Ask yourself; "Are they really working since 9/11?" And what "change" are you really getting when you vote?
He's got a good point there. I can see that in President Obama as well. I feel the Pres. should make a decision that the people elected him for and stick to that decision with no compromise. He's the President for God's sake ! He needs to assert his power and let Biden handle the light weights.
@recycled365 He could start asserting his power by getting the hell out of Libya, Iraq, and getting a task force aimed at re-starting the Economy. Then he can start be listening to legislature to limit the FED or seriously audit it, then empower the Justice Department, FBI and the Attorney General to attack white collar crime, "missing funds" and corporate fraud. He could also re-boot Glass-Stegal to put a wedge between Depository Banks and Corporate Banks
@SuperOmnicron Yes sir, you are completely correct. First things first, get out of Afghanistan and Iraq -immediately. I agree go after white collar crime aggressively, Attorney General should be on all that anyway. Stop corporate bailouts and audit any bailout funds given. Go after the big boys, Wesley Snipes is nickle and dime.
@recycled365 Wesley Snipes!? they got "Blade" didnt they. i blame the Nino Brown speech in New Jack City! Yeah, its all part of a pattern that began with Bush's election, the missing Pentagon money on Sept 10, 2001, then the dissolution of the FBI Corporate Fraud Unit as it was absorbed into Dept. of Homeland Security. I miss Lewis Black, who was part of Fraud Task force monitoring the Fraudulent Banking Loans. A nickel and dime fall guy was Madoff as well. Goldman Sachs was the real culprit.
All he said was that all politicians aren't willing to truly commit to their beliefs, Obama is no exception. It was neither a conservative nor liberal view point, merely an observation. I'm democrat, but I find his lack of commitment to his own beliefs annoying eg. not taking a stance on gay marriage). Though I don't see many atheist republicans speaking up due to fear of not being revoted in. It's the same bullshit on both sides. That's exactly what he said.
@StephenDedalus4 Palin is not running for president goofy. She probably values her independance too much for that kind of position. It's not a gig that attracts all sane minded types.Obama is sure begging for more money to spread around.
@SuperOmnicron All presidential elections are contentious...They give the media reason for being and a chance to show case thier self importance and gotcha skills.
Trouble in paradise Barack--your star is even losing luster with the Hollywood elite it seems. Not sure what base you will have left to play to in 2012.
to you people discussing the healthcare reform; nothing wrong with mandatory healthcare. even bush and romney worked on it. it's not a liberal, democrat or w/e political stream thing, it's a basic human right.
Yes Clint! Obama is really not a good President! Why don't YOU run for President and throw this Monkey out of this country and send him to Liberia. You'd get my vote because I do NOT want to vote for Newt Gingrich!
@odingreen Since you seem to think that Gingrich could actually win the Republican nomination, perhaps the "monkey" who needs to go to Liberia is you.
@odingreen ..enough with the "monkey" stuff. Goldman Sachs, George Soros and Wall Street back the guy. Its a done deal. Barring a miracle run by Ron Paul that would split the ticket and force him on the under card to another candidate. They will will have other companies put money behind either Perry or Romney.
Eastwood is an asshole. He once left my brother who waited on him for two hours fifty seven cents. He cannot relate to the middle or lower classes. He is considered one of the worst tippers at restaurants there is locally.
Of course Obama has no balls. O'Bomb Another country is just a tool for Brzezinski and David Rockefeller in their quest to take over the world.
Wake up sheeple. Obama wants to force you to get the RFID chip (The Mark of the Beast) when he ushers in his unconstitutional health care plan. If the gov't doesn't care if you eat Monsanto's GMO poisons and flouridates your water, etc...what makes you think they really care about your health??? It's already obvious they don't.
OBAMA WORKS FOR THE CFR (Council on Forein Relations) like all the previous presidents. Presidents aren't elected they are selected by the CFR and the Tri-Lateral Commission. Good for Clint!
Eastwood makes violent films and has a race mixed "marriage" and is in no position to criticize anyone. That being said Obama is a terrible President.
Clint just beat around the bush for that full minute. It is kind of jarring when you grow up watching him directly calling people out before shooting them. Not the laconic man I thought him to be.
Right, he sat in an office, got a phone call saying they have verified the location of Bin Laden, and he gave the green light to terminate one of the most notorious murderers of our time. Anyone would have done it. It was the "chance taking" equivalent of flushing the toilet after taking a shit.
I think entertainers need to stay out of political opinions, because when they make comments with no credible support. They loose alot of fans. Just entertain us in your movies and leave it at that because I don't want to hate you buddy.
Its SO SAD that Clint EASTWOOD has succumbed to being a LIBERAL--GOD I thought he was a true American--guess NOT!--Oh he still loves obummer---Thats the sad part of it all!--Hollywood must brainwash anyone that lives there!!!
There is no self esteem to be earned by not contributing. It lessens ones self worth. I do give, every week. I also pay a lot in taxes and am disgusted with how the govt spends a great deal of it. I have also done mission work in other coutries and here at home. I have seen first hand the decay that comes from loss of self worth. A hand up is not the same as a hand out.
Yes they do Candyliz.. Google it yourself. Programs like SSI, Food stamps, education, medical care and the prisons.. The information is readily available if you are willing to look. You are correct on the part about paying into SS. There are other programs available that circumvent that route and they are being exploited.
What makes the money flow is job creation, capital investment and entrepreneurs. Gov prints money. Capitalism creates wealth, jobs, opportunity. The rich got that way by earning money, not printing it.
@Candyliz2003 I agree with much of what you say here. But it should be noted that not all rich people got that way by exploitation. I accept the premice that we need taxes to fund essential services. I also feel that all individuals need to pay taxes regardless of income level. The only exception should be those who are physically or mentally incapable. Laws should apply equally to everyone. No exceptions. No waivers. No perks to a select few.
And if one is SO poor that food stamps, Public Housing, etc., is required to *live* do you still think we should take some of their money?
Have you never given or shared because it was "the right thing to do"?
Take a look at "The One Percent" and you get a fly on the wall perspective of how the super-rich feel about keeping their wealth (hiding it) because they just want more.
I find them (the greedy ones) disgusting and obscene people.
Yes, the world is losing faith in the dollar and rightfully so. We have all but abandoned capitalism to pursue socialism over here and are sinking fast. Polititicians are appealing to masses of people who vote for their own perks. Mob rule. Gov does not create anything but dependancy. If you confiscated all the wealth it would not be enough to cover the unfunded liabilities. Study your history. Even the roman empire figured that one out a long time ago.
Very political and shallow. He talks about dicipline to take the chance of losing,,,, when he won't just come right out and say what he really thinks, either. I don't respect double standards, which is exactly what this is. He says something about Obama, that he himself, is afraid to do. That's the point where my switch turns off and I don't hear another word they say. People have no idea how often I "turn them off" or jam their transmission. Pretty sad, but true.
can anybody actually say a law or bill obama passed was a full success?

@xvizionsx I live in the cook county area, the LIBTARDED cesspool of politics. I see, FIRST HAND, what LIBERAL-OVERTAXING politics does to an economy. The MOST popular sign in a commercial space around here is... "FOR LEASE" . We are getting TAXED to DEATH around here, to pay for their mistakes. They have been chasing businesses away for years...and there is no end in sight. "Taking from the rich and giving to the poor" is a fairy tale, it doesnt work in real life. The rich will just leave.

You are a fool... both sides of the isle have ruined us. Obummer has spent us into hell. His "health care" had very little to do with health care and did not make any of it affordable. @lordnocts ... OMG are you dumb... 1. I posted the cartoon, because you are too stupid to understand any other way. 2. You ONLY pay the $1200 fine if you DONT have health insurance. 3. Clint makes my day. He's right to say Obama's surrounded himself with the wrong people (i.e. Wall St scum left-over from George W's maladministration). But that's what the US has become: the last great
POTUS was FDR. We need another one before this country goes down the drain.

@manuellopez1956
FungusMossGnosis 5 months ago
@FungusMossGnosis
Ain't that the truth.
manuellopez1956 5 months ago
@manuellopez1956 >"K could have become the new FDR"<
Hard to say! I will eventually read more into it, but I've yet to be convinced JFK had plans to pull U.S. out of Vietnam. Brother Bobby was a Cold Warrior for certain, and he definitely approved of John Kennedy's escalation of the Vietnam conflict.
I did know about the attempted coup on F.D.R. and Smedley Butler's history (thanks to Janeane Garofalo, ca. '04,) and it's frightening now that they don't even need assassination, it's so fixed.
FungusMossGnosis 5 months ago
@FungusMossGnosis It's complicated but JFK and RFK changed politically, I believe. There is ample literature on the subject: JFK wanted out by 65, before the war was escalated.
manuellopez1956 5 months ago
@FungusMossGnosis Bobby Kennedy definitely evolved; initially supportive of Vietnam adventurism in '61 and '62, he had grown skeptical by '63 and by '66, he'd publicly turned against the war.
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@FungusMossGnosis As for JFK, there's no way of knowing what he would have done, but in my opinion, he was less likely to have followed the path eventually embraced by LBJ in Vietnam. JFK was more cerebral, more secure, and better able to understand that bravado isn't toughness; see the Cuban Missile Crisis where he stood up to the generals.

ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@ChandlerPol The debt ceiling is the top limit of debt accumulated by our government. It was first enacted to issue bonds during WWI.
Obama has raised the debt ceiling 3 times, borrowing more money to cover his ridiculous spending, adding more debt and more interest to what we owe.
The factors are behind the debt: all social and government run programs that are running our country to the ground.
You must be one of those unemployed people standing on street corners, asking of handouts.
CasperCee 2 months ago
@CasperCee ... uh, no. Almost assuredly, I'm much better educated than you and you should be a pupil of mine, but I can't prove it over the Internet.
Contrary to the indication of your original post, the debt ceiling is raised for money already spent, not money to be spent in the future. Ronald Reagan raised the debt ceiling eighteen times and the debt is largely rising due to factors that do not stem from Obama. Those factors are as follow ...
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@ChandlerPol You're more educated than me? Do you actually think Reagan wanted to raise the debt ceiling? Reagan warned that raising the debt ceiling could force America to default. He further stated that a default would hurt our credit rating and hurt the value of the dollar.
It's obvious Obama doesn't care about those issues. He's already had our credit rating dropped twice and several countries are not using the dollar for bilateral trade.
CasperCee 2 months ago
@CasperCee He raised the debt ceiling eighteen times because he combined massive, regressive tax cuts that disproportionately favored the wealthy with massive military spending. As George H.W. Bush virtually predicted during the 1980 GOP primaries, Reagan forced himself into a corner thanks to what Bush described as "voodoo economics," the ridiculous belief that one could sharply cut taxes, escalate military spending, and still balance the budget. Reagan's ignorance is to blame.
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@ChandlerPol You're more educated than me? How come you could not differentiate from past tense and future tense in my comments?
"The debt ceiling is the top limit of debt ACCUMULATED by our government."
That is PAST TENSE.
Obama raised the debt ceiling AFTER his ridiculous spending had already began.
CasperCee 2 months ago
@CasperCee I was referring to your original post, not your comments from last night. The point is that Reagan raised the debt ceiling eighteen times and George W. Bush raised the debt ceiling seven times due primarily to their unsound fiscal decisions. Did you know that during Reagan's presidency, the national debt nearly tripled? You have to be objective.
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@ChandlerPol It's clear as day you read and interpret things the way you want to see them. It's also clear that you are trying to defend Obama, his wasting of our tax dollars on solar energy companies that go bankrupt, on his aid to Brazil to help them with their oil drilling while putting moratoriums on ours, on starting a costly and illegal war in Libya, his ObamaCare that is going to add another $4 trillion to our national debt after being implemented, and on his wasted stimulus program.

ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@CasperCee According to the CBO, the stimulus has saved or created millions of jobs. One can still debate the overall wisdom of the policy, but to simply label it "wasted" is simplistic. The CBO also estimated that the health care bill would reduce the national debt by over $1 trillion a twenty-year span.
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@CasperCee As for Libya, the debate is a good one, but the French and British were the ones who really pushed for the intervention and were you also so dubious of Bush's war in Iraq, Bush Senior's invasion of Panama, and Reagan's invasion of Grenada?

CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong "…which estimates based on all the factors that ObamaCare will add $4 trillion to $6 trillion to federal deficits and debt over the first 20 years of full implementation."
"…President Obama's economic policies have us on course for just such another recession by 2013, if not sooner. In that year the top tax rates for virtually every major federal tax are already scheduled under current law to shoot up, with the ObamaCare tax increases going into effect."
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong "On our current course, CBO projects the national debt held by the public will climb to 100% of GDP by 2021, equal to our entire economy. It will then continue to rocket upward to 190% of GDP by 2035, which is higher than the level suffered by Greece when it collapsed into national bankruptcy."

CasperCee 2 weeks ago
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong When Obama took office in Jan. 2009, unemployment was 7.8 and the labor force participation rate was 65.7%. In January, the labor force participation was only 63.7%…. a difference of 4.8 million people! That means the Obama administration DID NOT COUNT 4.8 MILLION PEOPLE who were unemployed!!!!
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong It's obvious you watch ONLY THE LIBERAL NEWS, that won't tell you THE TRUTH about the unemployment under Obama.
The REAL unemployment rate for January 2012 is 22.5%, NOT 8.3% like the Obama liars tell you.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics only reported the U3 unemployment. They DO NOT INCLUDE the U6 unemployment numbers. For the last 31 months, millions of people have been dropping out of the labor force because they cannot find jobs.
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@CasperCee No, I agree, the unemployment rate is bad. But to be fair, Obama inherited the presidency while the US was losing 800,000 non-farm payrolls per month.
But I agree on the stimulus, it seems like it was a pretty inefficient use of money.
loliong 2 weeks ago
@loliong That all changed in 2006 when the Democrats took control in 2006. Unemployment jumped to 7.8 and during Bush's 2nd term he had record foreclosures.
Then Obama entered the White House with the same Democrat controlled House and Senate and took unemployment to over 10. Then in 2010, the Republicans took control of Congress, did not allow Obama & the Democrats to pass all they wanted and unemployment has been on a slow decline since 2010.
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@CasperCee The situation with the economy hasn't really been changed by Congress or the President. Although the recession could have been avoided had the Republicans not deregulated the mortgage market, the economy has recovered more or less without the help of Congress
loliong 2 weeks ago
@loliong - Who backed, supported and praised subprime lenders (like Fannie & Freddie)?
- Who represented ACORN when they sued Citibank (under CRA and 'redlining') to force them into making subprime loans setting up America for financial meltdown?
-Which president warned about about the economic crisis of subprime lending and tried to stop legislation of Fannie & Freddie?
- Which party has stopped efforts to stop the meltdown?
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong Excuse me? The "Republicans deregulated the mortgage market"?
Study your history.
-Who signed the Glass-Steagall Act in 1933?
-Who signed the CRA (Community Reinvestment Act)?
-Who signed the deregulation bill before leaving office?
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@CasperCee Good point. You're absolutely right, my bad.
loliong 2 weeks ago
@loliong -Barack Obama represented ACORN in 1994 when they sued Citibank under the CRA and redlining (accusing banks of using racism to NOT give loans to black and minorities)
- BOTH George W. Bush and John McCain gave many warnings of the financial dangers and risks of subprime lending
- Democrats (led by Barney Frank) ignored the warnings from Bush & McCain
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong -Bill Clinton revised the CRA by making banks meet a quota for a certain number of low income loans, allowing consumer banks to merge with insurance companies (telling banks that if they wanted to be allowed to make money off the investments off of the investments of the rich, they had to also be lending money to the poor)
- DEMOCRATS supported, defended and DENIED about any problems with Fannie & Freddie and other subprime lenders
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong So you & others will know the answers to those questions, here they are:
Senator Carter Glass (D-VA) & Henry B. Steagall (D-Ala)
- some of the provisions of the Act allowed the Federal Reserve to REGULATE interest rates in savings accounts
-Jimmy Carter signed the Community Reinvestment Act 1977 which led to lax lending standards
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong Something that people ignore:
Bill Clinton had a surplus and low unemployment. He also had a Republican controlled House & Senate… the ones who control the spending.
W. Bush had a Republican controlled House & Senate his first term (when unemployment got down to 4.4% and he had record house sales).
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong I made a mistake. I meant $2 billion, not $20. But he lost almost $3 BILLION OF OUR TAX DOLLARS on 15 (or was it 17) different solar powered companies. US taxpayers lost $1.3 billion on Obama's Chrysler bailout and another $14 billion has been lost to GM!
Anyway you look at it, Obama is LOSING MONEY FOR ALL OF AMERICA!
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@loliong Quotes from various sites:
"Federal payments required by President Barack Obama’s health care law are being understated by as much as $50 billion per year…."
"….hidden costs, he said, “will almost certainly add to the deficit, contrary to what the Congressional Budget Office and others have estimated.”
CasperCee 2 weeks ago
@CasperCee
Seriously?
3. The jobless rate is on the way down, quite a change from when the GOP lost power.
loliong 2 weeks ago
@CasperCee A) Obama inherited an economy shedding jobs at a furious rate, a situation that significantly reduced the federal government's tax revenue and thus inflated the debt. Moreover, to try and combat the spiking unemployment and the resultant loss of revenue, Obama authorized the expensive stimulus package. One can criticize that measure (which proved more successful than many imagine), but it stemmed solely from the calamitous economy that Obama inherited.
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@CasperCee B) Obama inherited two wars and a bloated Defense Department. Aside from Social Security and Medicare, the largest source of federal expenditure is military spending and that outlay dwarfs welfare-oriented spending, which represents only a marginal proportion of the budget.
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@CasperCee C) Obama inherited Medicare, signed into law by Lyndon Johnson in 1965 and expanded by George W. Bush in 2003. Obama trimmed $500M from Medicare in his health care bill, but the overall cost of health care in this country is grossly inflated due to a private insurance oligopoly that creates a rigged market marked by narrow supply and limited consumer mobility.
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@CasperCee The problem stems from the federal government rendering health insurance tax-exempt for employers during World War II, an exemption that made sense at that time yet now proves archaic and costly.
D) Obama inherited Bush's bailout of the big banks.
ChandlerPol 2 months ago
@CasperCee E) Obama inherited Bush's multiple regressive tax cuts that disproportionately favored the wealthy and stripped the federal government of the revenue that had the country on track to pay off its national debt.
So the reasons for the rising debt prove far more complex and multifaceted than simplistically blaming Obama. Ignorance does not constitute knowledge and engaging in demagoguery does not equate with comprehensive and authentic understanding.

He needs to assert his power and let Biden handle the light weights.
recycled365 6 months ago
@recycled365 He could start asserting his power by getting the hell out of Libya, Iraq, and getting a task force aimed at re-starting the Economy. Then he can start be listening to legislature to limit the FED or seriously audit it, then empower the Justice Department, FBI and the Attorney General to attack white collar crime, "missing funds" and corporate fraud. He could also re-boot Glass-Stegal to put a wedge between Depository Banks and Corporate Banks
SuperOmnicron 6 months ago
@SuperOmnicron Yes sir, you are completely correct. First things first, get out of Afghanistan and Iraq -immediately. I agree go after white collar crime aggressively, Attorney General should be on all that anyway. Stop corporate bailouts and audit any bailout funds given. Go after the big boys, Wesley Snipes is nickle and dime.
recycled365 6 months ago

That's exactly what he said.
gremlinextreme101 6 months ago
@StephenDedalus4 Palin is not running for president goofy. She probably values her independance too much for that kind of position. It's not a gig that attracts all sane minded types.Obama is sure begging for more money to spread around.

@Pomiferous ...Only hope is Ron Paul, and the National Media ignore him. So Obama wins again...it will be a very contentious election in 2012
SuperOmnicron 6 months ago
@SuperOmnicron All presidential elections are contentious...They give the media reason for being and a chance to show case thier self importance and gotcha skills.

Trouble in paradise Barack--your star is even losing luster with the Hollywood elite it seems. Not sure what base you will have left to play to in 2012.

to you people discussing the healthcare reform; nothing wrong with mandatory healthcare. even bush and romney worked on it. it's not a liberal, democrat or w/e political stream thing, it's a basic human right.

@DennChooch with no public option... it shouldn't be mandatory we have to subsidize the insurance industry for their crappy policies.

Yes Clint! Obama is really not a good President! Why don't YOU run for President and throw this Monkey out of this country and send him to Liberia. You'd get my vote because I do NOT want to vote for Newt Gingrich!
odingreen 8 months ago
@odingreen Since you seem to think that Gingrich could actually win the Republican nomination, perhaps the "monkey" who needs to go to Liberia is you.
joekiddlouischama 8 months ago
@odingreen ..enough with the "monkey" stuff. Goldman Sachs, George Soros and Wall Street back the guy. Its a done deal. Barring a miracle run by Ron Paul that would split the ticket and force him on the under card to another candidate. They will will have other companies put money behind either Perry or Romney.

Eastwood is an asshole. He once left my brother who waited on him for two hours fifty seven cents. He cannot relate to the middle or lower classes. He is considered one of the worst tippers at restaurants there is locally.
nickandmikec 8 months ago
Of course Obama has no balls. O'Bomb Another country is just a tool for Brzezinski and David Rockefeller in their quest to take over the world.
Wake up sheeple. Obama wants to force you to get the RFID chip (The Mark of the Beast) when he ushers in his unconstitutional health care plan. If the gov't doesn't care if you eat Monsanto's GMO poisons and flouridates your water, etc...what makes you think they really care about your health??? It's already obvious they don't.

Clint just beat around the bush for that full minute. It is kind of jarring when you grow up watching him directly calling people out before shooting them. Not the laconic man I thought him to be.

I wonder what Clint thinks about Obama taking chances now...
mattvt00 9 months ago
@mattvt00
Yeah Obama took a big chance when he personally suited up in SEAL gear, grabbed a rifle and boarded a Blackhawk Pakistan bound and took out Osama.
Get real. Obama is a chump.
rrattlehead84 9 months ago
@rrattlehead84
Right, he did nothing to "pull the trigger." Perhaps right wingers don't understand metaphors.
mattvt00 9 months ago
@mattvt00
Right, he sat in an office, got a phone call saying they have verified the location of Bin Laden, and he gave the green light to terminate one of the most notorious murderers of our time. Anyone would have done it. It was the "chance taking" equivalent of flushing the toilet after taking a shit.
rrattlehead84 9 months ago
I think entertainers need to stay out of political opinions, because when they make comments with no credible support. They loose alot of fans. Just entertain us in your movies and leave it at that because I don't want to hate you buddy.

A hand up is not the same as a hand out.
gregoryjamesaustin 10 months ago
Yes they do Candyliz.. Google it yourself. Programs like SSI, Food stamps, education, medical care and the prisons.. The information is readily available if you are willing to look. You are correct on the part about paying into SS. There are other programs available that circumvent that route and they are being exploited.
gregoryjamesaustin 10 months ago
What makes the money flow is job creation, capital investment and entrepreneurs. Gov prints money. Capitalism creates wealth, jobs, opportunity. The rich got that way by earning money, not printing it.
gregoryjamesaustin 10 months ago
@gregoryjamesaustin
Some of The rich got that way by exploiting people, natural resources and laws that the rest of us have to follow.
Wish I had a lawyer or two who could find ways out of paying taxes - BUT if we all did that how would we pay for our govt. services?
Candyliz2003 10 months ago
@Candyliz2003 I agree with much of what you say here. But it should be noted that not all rich people got that way by exploitation. I accept the premice that we need taxes to fund essential services. I also feel that all individuals need to pay taxes regardless of income level. The only exception should be those who are physically or mentally incapable. Laws should apply equally to everyone. No exceptions. No waivers. No perks to a select few.
gregoryjamesaustin 10 months ago
@gregoryjamesaustin
Re. the rich I said "Some".
Candyliz2003 10 months ago
Yes, the world is losing faith in the dollar and rightfully so. We have all but abandoned capitalism to pursue socialism over here and are sinking fast. Polititicians are appealing to masses of people who vote for their own perks. Mob rule. Gov does not create anything but dependancy. If you confiscated all the wealth it would not be enough to cover the unfunded liabilities. Study your history. Even the roman empire figured that one out a long time ago.
gregoryjamesaustin 10 months ago
Very political and shallow. He talks about dicipline to take the chance of losing,,,, when he won't just come right out and say what he really thinks, either. I don't respect double standards, which is exactly what this is. He says something about Obama, that he himself, is afraid to do. That's the point where my switch turns off and I don't hear another word they say. People have no idea how often I "turn them off" or jam their transmission. Pretty sad, but true.
