this scene reminds me of a three panel cartoon posted years ago in 'Perry Bible Fellowship' -- in the future, people watch a movie where world war 2 was fought by armored knights riding unicorns and wielding equally ludicrous weapons. At the time, I thought the cartoon was a comment on b.s. like Michael Bay's 'Pearl Harbor' or D. W. Griffith's "Birth of a Nation"... as well as the more sobering fact that frankly, we just can't know unless we lived it.

i think the reason why they put Charlie Chaplin there is because of his mustache; it looks like Hitler's. So through time it must have got mixed up that Charlie Chaplin was the Nazi leader.
