Not sure where Steve Wright went but David P Crickmore still plays in a folk band. Ian Nelson however died in 2005. He was a great sax player and often played with his brother Bill.
I am totaly delighted to have found this peice of music - I fell in love this track sometime in the 1980's and I have not heard it since now - I had forgotten the title and the name of the group - I have had a lovelly sing-a-long to it - thanks to whoever put it to share on Youtube - It is now in my "favourites" Does anyone know where the artists are now or are they still performing !!
Heard it in early 83 i think when it unjustly only managed to squeeze into the top 40. Never the less, as far as i'm concerned it's number one for me each time i listen to it. Timeless
Just a bit of trivia for all good Luxians... Go to "Commercial Breakdown 2" posting, go to 4 mins and 50 secs in (Love Will Come) and the guy you see being a ballet dancer way back in 1984 is that Bruno Tonioli (or whatever) from TV's Strictly Come Dancing! Not a great many people know that! He's done well for himself hasn't he? Cheers!

I remember jumping off the bus and running back home so I could hear the end of this song in order to find out who it was by. Must have been some time in 1984. My mates (who I normally walked home with) thought something must have been up so called in to see if I was OK. I was - but the DJ didn't give the name of the track out so I didn't manage to buy it.
Thankfully we now have the web and a quick search today was all I needed. Yay!
I still have the 12 inch version upstairs in the attic but my record player is sitting unused on the first floor as YouTube provides me with loads of finds, like this one!
i bought the picture disc in 1985. Im sure they had a track called photoghraphy as well.I heard peter powell playing it on his radio 1 show..he was a good, if what mainstream DJ, played all sorts of new stuff at the time.
so great- I loved this song from first hearing driving throught Switzerland in 1984. It was hard work to find out who was singing it. I found out and I can hear this beautiful music as often i have time to....
As I recall it was never a big hit, but I always remember it being a regular request on Anne Nightingale's Sunday night show on Radio 1 in the eighties and early nineties. Veoh has the original video.
this was and is till now my fav. song of the 80's!! There were so much very good songs at that decade, but this one I've heard as much I could a day... So glad having got it on vinyl- I never found on CD!!??
This song came into my head today, way over 20 years since I last heard it. And I've no idea why. So pleased to see it on here. Haunting and slightly melancholy, yet strangely uplifting at the same time. That makes no sense, I know, but that's the best way I can think of describing it!
Wonderful song. It deserved to be a big hit. I remember the promo video very well, especially the bit with the car chase in the shopping mall. Even back then it was big budget stuff. I think I read in Creative Butcher magazine that the video cost £1.5million.
Just in case anyone's interested and wants tp "spread the news", but the BBC are playing a "lost" Janice Long session by Fiat Lux from 1983 on BBC 6 Music between 4am and 5am this Saturday Morning 22nd Aug 2009. It's got an acoustic version of Secrets on it featuring great sax from the late much lamented Ian Nelson. Strange hour to be on, but hey maybe catch it on i player? Cheers everyone!
About a year or longer ago there has been an original video clip posted on YouTube. I have watched it several times, but for some reason it's not there anymore!
Hey Barsopen1970. Been a DJ for 7 years back in the 80's and I know most if not all :) I adore this song for some reason. Amazing music don't you agree? anyway, it's all a matter of taste. Cheers
Sure was... had the band wandering around a country estate with medieval styled minstrels all over the place.. juggliers and what not.. pretty cool. Used to be on here..?!

Just to answer lumbertubslad - David is working for the BBC at the moment and does a show on BBC Radio Leeds, as well as playing in a band.
Steve is a freelance TV director now, still living in Yorkshire.
I wish someone would maybe cover "Secrets" would be fun to see a modern spin on it - even though I would never change the original!!!

One of my top 5 tracks released in the 80's. A timeless classic - so beautiful...

i would say this was new romantics as it is not synth heavy, so can't be synthpop and it does not have much new wave to it, i like it though
