He's not actually crying in his final scene with Whishaw. His face is twisted in a rictus of grief but there are no tears.

I only JUST found out about this film 10 mins ago, but playing the role of Alan Rickman's daughter has been a role I had ALWAYS longed to play.
I sort of see a father figure in him, i suppose.
