@flatcapman I have a very full and fast growing beard, I get 5 O' clock shadow...( I sometimes shave 2xs in the same day). so a goatee takes me only a week to grow. To maintain it, I buzz it twice a week with an electric shaver that lets me keep it very short and trim, and each day I shave around it to maintain the shape with a razor and shave cream. It's in the shape of an upside-down heart btw :)

As for Fedoras do you have any Akubras? They are an Aussie brand that makes lovely fedora hats via David Morgan. I own 3 of those. The stylemaster which is a broadish bowed one, the hampton which is a bowed blues brothers style and a turin which is my personal fave which is like Mr Peltzers hat from Gremlins.
I do know of the Akubras brand of hats and they are know for highly superior quality. I do not happen to own any hats by this company, (I own more than 60 hats at this point, and had to slow down the building of my collection due to lack of further space to display them). I will keep them in mind for the future though... Thanks.

I have customized many of mine with both ribbons and feathers, but as of late I have added some hand stitched crests which give a rather regal look to an otherwise rudimentary hat. :)

It is refreshing to see a man who is also enthusiastic about hats, however I must protest. The headwear you have displayed is of modern and new age style origin, a real Fedora is to be a solid Black, Brown, or Grey with a larger brim than those you displayed, and to have a grosgrain ribbon with a bow around it. Try a classic, I think they are much better looking and timeless.

My collection has actually grown quite substantially since making this video, I now have around 55 hats and collect fedoras, tribys, pork-pies, and newsboy caps. I have considered doing an update video but am not sure that folks would want to sit through that many hat changes. U have a cool channel btw, I subed you :)

@ChrisBranleh Hi Chris, Since making this video my collection has grown quite a bit and I have around 50 hats. I have noticed that I tend wear the hats that are solid black, more often than any of the others at this point. Black will match just about anything you may wear, and can be casual as well as dressy. I would recommend black if you are only going to own one hat, and a black one as well as. a brown one, if you are going to own 2.

@dwoodsky Thanks for the comments , Those are three interesting hats. The one at 0:20 is a vintage fedora I got from an uncle and is at least 40 years old. The one at 0:42 has a hand painted feather on the side that looks like a real feather, but it's painted onto the hat. The one at 0:59 is one I customized myself, with a glass bead added, to hold a feather, to give it a little pizazz :)
Very nice collection. I really liked the one at 0:41! I have lots of fedoras myself and am known throughout my school for always wearing one. They've even named a few of my hats :) ...
(the only one i didn't like was the orange one sorry, ahaha!)

Fedora collecting is really cool. I would go for more usual choices myself. I want to order one asap. I need to measure my head. So far, I think I want the Belfry Gangster - Litefelt Teardrop Fedora. It's mid priced, and it looks great. I plan to take the feather off.

I have been collecting Fedoras for a while now and am up to 40 hats. Most of mine are Goorin Brothers hats from San Francisco, but whenever I am out shopping and see a cool new hat I like, I buy it.
Hiya Kim :) You have excellent taste!... Hats 5 and 7 are both hand-made by the Goorin brothers of San Fransisco. Both of those hats have very ornate hand stitched flowers on them, which I really like against the black :)
They make you look just as dashing as Justin Timberlake.... or Britney Spears... Either way you'd like to look at it =] I really like the tan one with the feather, lolz.
