  • check out Brian Eno's The Ascent

  • 'To die, to sleep. To sleep, perchance to dream. For in that sleep of death what dreams may come when we have shuffled off this mortal coil' - William Shakespeare

  • Remember walking around with this blasting out of my ghetto blaster at the time to some very starange looks. Even got stopped by the police asking what the track was - happy times

  • "66 And Fading" is a synth track from "Silent Running" out of the "Dazzle Ships" album. To hear the original Synth track look at

OMD - 66 And Fading (double speed reverse)

  • Beautiful and very original! Just simpler, just perfect! Greetings from Portugal.

  • This is one of my all time favourite OMD songs. It takes me back to a special time in a special place when I was a child (and I also received a hand written letter from Mr McCluskey about a question I raised about 66 and Fading in said special place!!!) Wonderful choice, wonderful song - and finding this has put a smile on my face following a very taumatic weekend. Thank you sealandamber xxxxx

  • Thank You for Your nice words! :-)

Sorry for Your bad weekend, just hope, everything is OK now.

  • mainly Mellotron, I think, plus Korg Presets

  • Breathtaking, thank you so much. Does anyone happen to know what synthesizer(s) was used on this track?

  • Thanks sealandamber I love your choices and videos. OMD's album tracks & b-sides are masterpieces on they're own.

The Avenue, Burning, 4-neu & many others are pure class. OMD are my all time fav band ever since I heard Messages I joined they're fan club.

    Long live OMD

  • YES YES YES YES!! I CAN DIE HAPPY! One of my altime favs.

  • But have You heard&seen Mr McCluskey's new project "The Energy Suite"? A pure instrumental masterpiece. Fabulous, brilliant, grand,... I've heard just some minutes of it, but it was enough to fall in love. Can't wait the new CD/DVD.

  • I do not only prefer it (and second it) !I'm immensly gratefull! I thougth there would be just Enola Gay and such... Thanx Amber. Do you know someone who uploaded more songs?

  • Here are lots of OMD videos. Just some of channels: djliberator31 and nigel2568 have splendid self-made videos, beamergeezer has many interesting slideshows for B-sides, flans44 - several official videos (BTW, he was a person, who discovered YouTube world to me! A virtual "Thank You"!;-) )

  • guess it was b-side on telegraph

in the end i liked it much more then the a-side!

kept on listening all night long.

    thanks for posting!!!

    p.s.: great picture-arrangement

  • I also prefer this song to "Telegraph"- here's much more soul&heart.

It's true about the B-side. But this one i took from the remastered "Dazzle Ships"- a superfantastic album.

  • I second that xxxxxxxxxxx

  • Prefer it when people upload the `not so famous` OMD songs.

    Nice one.
