I got into D&D later in high school. At first, I wasnt so sure but I was glad that Jake, our DM, talked us into it.
My life wouldnt have been the same without D&D. I made friends and had so many laughs that I wouldnt have otherwise. Even today, I think back to the times that my friends said (in/out of character) and did (in character) that made my laugh until my sides hurt and I thought I'd die. D&D game me a reason to leave the house on the weekends. Thank you Gary. We miss you.

I am Mendor, Lvl 34 Elven Enchanter. I have amassed a fortune, wealth of knowledge in arcane tomes and various literature. I have opened a school to teach those with the gift of magic how to harness their powers. I have even traveled to the outer planes and faced off with the gods. But I still cannot defeat my greatest foe of all.. and that is dealing with the loss of such a great friend. Thank you Gary for letting me be part of your world. I shall miss you greatly.

to tell the truth, D&D didnt affected my life so much. but it worked as a door and meet cool ppl, the friends of my older brother we used to play all together.
by seeing how it affected the life of my brother, so i must (and i do!) respect gary gygax and his travel on the material life time!

in highschool my social skills sucked...because of AD&D,I quickly found something
that I could do alone or with others...creating dominions and other strange and beautiful worlds...I really enjoyed the companion set from like 1987??
i wish I had all my old modules...thanks gary...you've meant so much to me.
