  • 90% of guitar how-to's are not left-handed friendly.

    discrimination these days...i swear.

  • @hellosumii GCH Guitar Academy do a full left handed course with all this information.

For more information go to the link in the description.

But just to point out that you comment is uncalled for . .

90% of all guitarists are right handed, which means the percentage of left handed people to left handed tutorials is exactly correct. . . 0% discrimination.

  • very good clear and simple. thanks

  • i don't get it.. do u hold the strings down where the neck of the guitar is and then hit the strings from the base of the guitar at the same time.. is that how it works ?

  • i love this video

  • WOW THIS HELPED ALOT THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i like this.

  • thanks ;)

  • Good tutorial.

    Also, you sound like Saladfingers.

  • Is there anyone who can tell me what this chord means?

    A#/5-

I just don't get what it means when it goes "/5-"

  • this presentation is great one, thanks for posting that

  • Nicely done. Good use of visual aids.

  • @Dusty11408 Thanks . .

  • u helped~~~!!!!!

  • it's said the there's 1,2,3,4 to touch the string part lalala. but why there's some tabs that have numbers to 11,14,12 and such? i'm confused.

  • @UnnowenUzer this tutorial is talking about chord maps, NOT TAB. The numbers are the fingers on your fingering hand and normal people don't have 12 fingers on one hand.

  • @gchguitaracademy tottaly agreed with that. not all people have 12 fingers . I also like to read the tabs :) . Im going into a music school next tuesday.

    greetings from Portugal :)

  • @UnnowenUzer sorry , was confused bout that. i'm a beginner in guitar.

  • @UnnowenUzer I think what you are looking at are the FRETS in tabs, so you don't use your twelfth finger necessarily..

  • @UnnowenUzer i think those are the frets

  • So when you read scales, you read the marks top bottom - left right?

  • @finalassault Yes, exactly that . . .

  • Still don't understand when to play the chords ... I tried to learn in Portuguese, wich is my language, but didn't understand ... In English I still don't know when to play them ! XD

You don't play the chords all at once, or do you ?

I'm trying to learn "Your body is a wonderland" , Mia Rose did it and she played one chord at a time ... I'm trying to figure out when to play the chords ...

Did I explain myself well ?

  • i found a tab w/ this 3h5p3 what does that mean

  • @darklink594 To understand the numbers, see my other video on reading tab in a minute, But the letters are 'h' is for hammer on, and the 'p' is for pull off.

  • superb... very clear

  • I have a question I notice some chords are different like some use A,B,C,D etc but I found some chords like this

    E|3-0-3-0-3-0-0-------0-0-0-3-0-------0-1-0-----------------------|

    any idea what the differences?

  • @mussica26 these are hard to read. They are ways of showing chords using basic text. You find this type of chord layout on sites like UltimateGuitar. But beware, most of the tab etc is inaccurate.

  • thank uu

  • come to ym channel rate then spread the word!!! then email me with any guitar questions and i'll answer them for you :)

  • thank you so much

  • wow that helped a ton

  • no offesne if any but u sound a lil dapressed man, but good video

  • thxxx ....that help me so much,,,,O_=...

  • Thanks that helped me read chords alot better but some chord maps have X's O's and black O's what do they mean?

  • Good question.

x on a string means don't play that string

Hollow O is an open string (no fingers)

Filled O is a fingered note

  • Wow thanks this really helped me out man cheers =)!

  • 2 reasons I stopped making videos . . .

    1. I don't get time.

    2. I am not very good at it

But I do intend to make a couple more soon.

  • how come you stopped making videos?

  • Thanks you so much, helped me alot!

  • Right, this is confuzzling me. I thought scales was just another word for tabs? I'm getting a little better at chords but this scales/tabs crap is confusing me. And can anyone tell me where I can find any decent chord maps to print out? Cause all the ones I've found are just confusing and different and weird. God, I suck :L Btw this vid is so clear and easy (except the scales bit)

  • can anyone tell me why there is no numbering on a scale chart?

i'm having trouble reading scale charts, i just don't know in which order to play the notes on the chart because they're not numbered.

    help me gchguitaracademy!

  • Play the notes in order from the lowest to the highest (tone). In the end you will play the notes out of order anyway, but to start with play them low note to high note.

  • thank you

  • thanks, this one is the first that made sense. could you tell me how to tell the chord and scale charts apart a bit more?

  • Hi, normally it is given in the name. However if not, I chord only has one note per string and a scale has 2 or 3 notes per string.

  • Woah, Mr. capslock needs to keep his head a lil more lol. thanks though!

  • thankez you
