@Bugnatribe Thanks, I figured it out in 5 minutes. I didn't know what buttons were A and B so I didn't know what to press when I got to the menu. I just went into Emulator -> Joystick -> Z. Started playing from there. Thanks again though!!!

@awsomemanlord333 try a different emulator i recomend download winds pro it has vba and 3 ds emulators that can play gba roms to and most of them work or get a message saying that the internal battery has run dry. the game can be layed how ever clock based events will no longer ocurre

@dany281092 No it doesnt make a difference just change to real time clock and flash 128K. You CAN use gameshark and it shouldn't give your save file any problems.

I fixed the save problem, where it deletes your save after the elite four. I went to: Options, Emulator and tick the real time clock. Then I went to: Options, Emulator, Save Type and I clicked Flash 128K. I dont know if it will help anyone else, but it worked for me.
