Well, It's official. CC Sabathia is going to the Yankees after accepting a 7-year 161-million dollars contract. And some people said the Yankees are not done. They may be going after Ben Sheets and Mark Texeira as well. They need more pitching since Mike Mussina retired and Andy Pettite is not coming back as well as a first baseman to fill some of their voids.

The San Jose Mercury News passes along a rumor that CC Sabathia has declined the Yankees' six-year, $140 million offer.
Apparently, the rumor is spreading fast, and the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel has also picked up on it. An executive close to the CC Sabathia talks told the Andrew Baggerly of the Mercury News that the Brewers are emerging as the frontrunners for Sabathia.

Common sense dictates that the Brewers would be more likely to part with Cameron and his $10 million salary if Sabathia returned at over $20 million per year. However, Cameron and Sabathia are close friends, and the Brewers think it might help their chances of retaining Sabathia to keep Cameron around. The Brewers have reportedly discussed a Cameron deal with the Yankees.

I was there :) about half way down in the front row....shook most of their hands and got covered in beer and champagne....what na experience
