I might only do half of it for now as I dont know if my space is big enough for all of it. But it will be better than what I have now. Thank you! Our garage is pretty nice considering its a garage, lol. My walls are drywalled and it's painted white. I'm in Souther Calif and the weather is always bearable. When it's cold I just put on my heater and in the summer I have a nice fan. I'm so used to it now though that I can take any temp in here. I totally felt like Misery when I moved the bird! Just recently watched the movie again so it was fresh in my mind. lol

I got the clear containers from Joann's, they have them all the time and they usually go on sale for at least 40% off. They were like 2.99 or 3.99 before the discount. They fit perfect in the shoe organizer cubby my friend gave me! TFW!
Awesome! I too saw this on Pinterest- I would love to find cabinet height (approx) bookshelves as I really love having my table higher. Two more thoughts: you could use a couple/few more book shelves under the doors near where your knees will be- set back in for less-used items, but great storage space. Second, I would love to think of a bridge-type storage solution to run across the length of the doors- something to utilize the vertical space along the middle of your table without 'taking

This was right on time. I'm in the process of updating my scrap room. Wish I knew about the table out of door idea. I got mine from walmart and my hubby found me a beautiful book shelf at the thrift store. I just found one of those shoe racks to hang behind the door for my punches. I really want to use the stuff I have and this re-modeling project has helped. Thanks for sharing your process. I had it on the whole time I was working in my room.
I'm so glad I helped! I was about to go buy new storage totes because I thought I had to "match" my new cubbies and be all fancy schmancy....HA! That thought lasted for 5 minutes and I realized I had plenty of things already that would work just fine. I just re-organized everything in a better way and it all turned out great. TFW! I love the large table too! I know somehow I will fill it all up when I'm working on projects! lol. As for products being affected by temp changes. I've been in the garage now for about 12 years and have never had trouble at all. I'm in Southern California and we don't really ever have a real winter and summers are pretty nice. I've had glue and paint dry out from non use....lol
I seen this on pininterest but clicked on and forgot about it. I didn't realize it was so inexpensive compared to the desks that are sold this way. I think I may have hubby help get this together for me soon. tfs!!
It is the best deal ever! I was surprised out how expensive the sealer was, $17.34 for a quart can. That bugged me more than anything, lol! I think those fancy desks and scrap armoires (spelled right?) are a waste of money. They run $500 and up, and you can't fit everything in there anyways. I'd rather stretch my dollar as far as I can! My hubby put the bookcases together ( I did help) and I painted the doors. Tell hubby you must have it!
What a wonderful craft space. You have a great assortment of tools and supplies. I wish I could use my garage but Wisconsin winters are way to cold. I have a small room in the basement for my stuff. My husband is re-doing it to make it more accessible for me to have things in my reach. Then I can reorganize everything. Can't wait for it to be done. TFS!

Hi Lynn! I'm lucky our garage is drywalled and painted, that's what makes it a great space to have. I've been lucky with the pieces of furniture I've found at good prices in that they made great scrap storage. I have purged and sorted so many times its not funny! But in the end it finally paid off. Yolie, I love how your doors came out. I too have a door for my crafting table. I purchased my door from habitat for humanity for $5.00 but I did not paint it. I am going to go back and purchase another door and shelves and paint them like you did. Thank you so much for sharing your idea. I absolutely love your space. When you walk into Home Depot and you look for the doors they are listed on that tag in inches, so I said it that way in the video so if any of my crafty pals want to go buy them they know to look for doors that are marked 32" x 80".

I love love love this. I love how you did everything, I too saw this desk and am going to be doing it as soon as I have the money saved. I might only do half of it for now as I dont know if my space is big enough for all of it. But it will be better than what I have now. Thank you! Our garage is pretty nice considering its a garage, lol. My walls are drywalled and it's painted white. I'm in Souther Calif and the weather is always bearable. When it's cold I just put on my heater and in the summer I have a nice fan. I'm so used to it now though that I can take any temp in here. I totally felt like Misery when I moved the bird! Just recently watched the movie again so it was fresh in my mind. lol

I got the clear containers from Joann's, they have them all the time and they usually go on sale for at least 40% off. They were like 2.99 or 3.99 before the discount. Awesome! I too saw this on Pinterest- I would love to find cabinet height (approx) bookshelves as I really love having my table higher. Two more thoughts: you could use a couple/few more book shelves under the doors near where your knees will be- set back in for less-used items, but great storage space. Second, I would love to think of a bridge-type storage solution to run across the length of the doors- something to utilize the vertical space along the middle of your table without 'taking

This was right on time. I'm in the process of updating my scrap room. Wish I knew about the table out of door idea. I got mine from walmart and my hubby found me a beautiful book shelf at the thrift store. I just found one of those shoe racks to hang behind the door for my punches. I really want to use the stuff I have and this re-modeling project has helped. Thanks for sharing your process. I had it on the whole time I was working in my room.

I love the large table too! I know somehow I will fill it all up when I'm working on projects! lol. As for products being affected by temp changes. I've been in the garage now for about 12 years and have never had trouble at all. I'm in Southern California and we don't really ever have a real winter and summers are pretty nice. I've had glue and paint dry out from non use....lol

It is the best deal ever! I was surprised out how expensive the sealer was, $17.34 for a quart can. That bugged me more than anything, lol! I think those fancy desks and scrap armoires (spelled right?) are a waste of money. They run $500 and up, and you can't fit everything in there anyways. I'd rather stretch my dollar as far as I can! My hubby put the bookcases together ( I did help) and I painted the doors. Tell hubby you must have it!

You are lucky to have such a large space. Your table is great. I am also in the process of sorting my craft room mess out. It's taking forever but will be worth it in the end as I'll be able to find stuff again. TFS - Lynn

Hi Lynn! I'm lucky our garage is drywalled and painted, that's what makes it a great space to have. I've been lucky with the pieces of furniture I've found at good prices in that they made great scrap storage. I have purged and sorted so many times its not funny! But in the end it finally paid off. Good luck with your room.

Yolie, I love how your doors came out. I too have a door for my crafting table. I purchased my door from habitat for humanity for $5.00 but I did not paint it. I am going to go back and purchase another door and shelves and paint them like you did. Thank you so much for sharing your idea. I absolutely love your space. This is the best way to create a LOW BUDGET space.

I have a little jar that I save all my change in and I recycle the heck out of everything, that way I don't feel like I'm spending all the time. I have to save for it! TFW

Thank you for your conversion to feet, even though I already knew that. When you walk into Home Depot and you look for the doors they are listed on that tag in inches, so I said it that way in the video so if any of my crafty pals want to go buy them they know to look for doors that are marked 32" x 80".
