That's ridiculous. If people didn't hack or mod games there would be no CounterStrike, no Portal -- tons of things wouldn't exist. If players or developers choose to alter games, then they're participating in the experience, for the sake of everyone's enjoyment.

In Melee it was an Advanced technique that allow the player to space quickly and even move quicker than simply running. You simply had to airdodge toward the ground with some angle to do it. In brawl, since you can't airdodge in a direction, hacks are used to perform it.
