its an awsome song....our band played part of this song in our show this past year, along with ave maria, and gloria....we made it to state finals in texas....u can find our show by looking up Hays Rebel marching band...
lmao the drum major is on a ladder instead of a podium xD y is that? it would be way easier to carry than a podium now that i tink about it... although it makes u look tacky xD
Because ladders are easier to carry than podiums. Those things are heavy as shit. Plus, you don't need a podium when all you're really going for is a little height.
Second time when we play this is suppose to be like all ballz out or no food for you. And as for the effing high trumpet player who hit the double octave G clearly and "didnt cut off," your suppose to let the highs and lows ring a little. I love playing this piece every time :D DO WORK GOIN BAND!
amen to that. i'll be joining this next year on trombone. i'm so excited. this is my favorite song ever. as for that double octave g, thats like 4th ledger line? holy cow.
I'll have you know that I WAS that Tuba player sticking out the whole time! And I would do it again!! You obviously have no idea about the goin' band tuba section, and your probably better for it!!! Wreck em!!!
Texas Tech, Imma Let You Finish, but Jacksonville State University has the best arrangement of all time!

the percussion part is something completely separate. we play salvation, and the drumline does their warm up at the same time.

i'm a percussionist, but i think this should NEVER be played with percussion parts, especially marching drums

i think it's just cause their band is so freaking huge. imagine trying to see him from the back of about a 500 piece band. not gonna happen...

I was in Goin' Band when it was actually good and fun. Now I hear you guys do silent rehearsals and practice in the rain....pretty lame.

The cleanest cutoff on that I have heard come from the Goin' Band. Absolutely amazing guys.
