Overall Elton is a much better artist, as well as a better singer. But there's no question that Ben Folds' piano gives this song so much more life.

Both are fantastic artists- I prefer this version to Elton's recent versions. Great homage by Ben Folds, I liked the variation in dynamics a little more even than the original. The perfect version would be this piano part with Elton's 1971 vocals.
