  • sam darko told him to make it and if u watch at the end thats wat kills her

  • Everyone who boycotted this was pissed about frank the rabbit but people who did not watch it don't know that it is not frank the rabbit, its a crazy veteran who see's visions of s.darko dead and makes a mask of her dream face (the rabbit).

  • I saw s.Darko two days ago. It sucked in a huge way. Bad story, bad acting. I didn't feel anything for the characters. When they died, I was like...whatever. I guess the only reason to even watch clips of s.Darko on YouTube would be to see that condom dress Sam wears. It looks like it was made from 2000 unrolled condoms.

  • CRIKEYYYYYYYYYYY

  • i actually liked s.darko but donnie darko was better by a mile it was ok though

  • mind you, i haven't seen S.Darko either, but I really wish they would stop making sequels to such good movies.

95% of the times, sequels are total shit and lose appeal to the original movie. i find it's hard to pick up another story from the original movie.

from what i see in S.Darko, it just doesn't seem to work. repetitive story done with a different character... in this case, Donnie's sister.

    BORING!!!

  • I agree but at least they are trying

  • I just enjoy the fact that the Director of Donnie Darko is from home city of Newport News, VA. Also, according to wikipedia Donnie Darko took "28 Days" to film.......Sound familiar????

  • You havent even seen it yet????

  • Blasphemy.

  • @LydiaBrandnerFan Fuck you S Darko sucked.

  • Dear person.

    You are rad.

    With love,

    Maddie.

  • s darko was more true to the book series then the first one. and plus daviegh chase is a good actor

  • what book

  • it was 4million in Donnie Darko

  • true

  • So... did you fly out and hit the jerk, or what? Cause a promise is a promise- and I'm betting YouTubers everywhere would absolutely LOVE to see you keep it on principle alone.

  • LMAO! No, silly- if Elizabeth Berkley's character was written to take the place of any of the original characters, it's Kitty Farmer.

That makes the ex-prisoner/ priest/ perv the newer, crappier version Jim Cunningham.

As for the rest, I guess they're all supposed to be Donnie. Seems like everyone in Crack Town, BFE is either seeing (manipulated) dead people, or seeing into the future.

... You'd think one of them would have seen this film's predetermined future as an epic failure.

  • Will you marry me?

  • I actually saw this movie the other day (unfortunately) and it's the orst movie I've ever seen.

  • hahahaha. dam ur good at expressing yourself - "its like shitting on a chocolate cake" lol.

  • youre so right

  • i havent seen it but i think if they would have done it with frank instead of samantha that that would have been cool i dont know how they would do that but i think it would be cool

  • totally with you on this one

donnie darko rocks, no one can possibly make a fucking sequel, how dumb are these people?

  • What a load of shit, wasted my hard earned cash on this piece of shit DVD. Who ever made this cak should be ashamed of themselves. Do not waste your time on this movie. One of the worst fucking movies made ever!

  • Yeah...but Ed westwick is so hot tho

  • ...and replace all the good actors with total dickhead no talent nobodies from shitty made-for-TV wanky series'. Why do they fuck with everything thats cool and make it shitty and mainstream? I am sick of it.

  • ok. i thot s.darko was ok. it was not donnie darko tho! ummm. its not as bad as i thought. fans are over reacting! it did not ruin the donnie darko universe at all. it was not a bad movie! don't think it was a sequel. it was more of a story by itself. i thinks over all its ok. come on. a bad example of a terrible sequel. FEAST 2 and 3. Pulse 2. those were terrible. s.darko was decent. 4 outta 10. if u don't agree i dont care.

  • I have to agree with you. I just saw it yesterday and wouldn't say that it's as bad as most people make it look like. I noticed so many Donnie Darko references throughout the whole movie which showed me that the makers really occupied themselves with the first one and tried to recreate its special feeling.

  • I like your chocolate shit theory lol

and I agree with you about absolutely everything you have said

    xxx

  • why make a sequil donnie darko to me was pretty conclusive

  • So whats wrong with a sequel to titanic!!!!

  • Brilliant cake quote! I agree but: Kelly set up rules for a universe, so done right sequels could be "OK". To love DD is to identify with it at some level. DD was a gift to the outsider, loner etc but this wont compare at all to DD, But, look at A Nightmare On Elm Street - the original will always be there but the sequels were fun. Some say this is awful, others like it. I want to see it. Changing the events of DD sounds a bit Back To The Future 2. Just keep telling yourself "It's Only A Movie!"

  • "it's like making a sequel to titanic..." amen. you speak the truth.

  • It's not that bad of movie!

:) Not as bad as I thought...

    go rent!

  • see it then say what you have to say

  • recently i became a donnie darko fan but when i saw the sequel it WAS pretty bad and everything was out of place and the style of the cinematography mimicked donnie darko too much like a dumb teen movie, i wish richard kelly had put some good input into the movie

  • I AGGREE SO MUCH!!

and is 5 figures close enough??

Donnie Darko is my favorate ffilm of all time and even the concept and idea of a sequel actually terryfies me. it has lost completely the entire point of the original wich is sublety and the ability not to be another target market and a ffilm that you have to have enough in common with or enough imaginaion to understand and be able to enjoy, samantha isn't even a good character!!!! his older sister is way more intersting!

    gah. so pissed.

  • 100% correct everything u hav said is correct donnie darko is 1 ov my fav films aswell ...i was watchin tv and an advert came on f s.darko and all i saw was shit wrote across the screen they should ov left the original alone

  • I was disgusted when I heard about this being made last year, and now there are adverts on TV are taunting me with its awfulness. Thank god it is going straight to DVD so it can die a death as soon as possible. I can't actually think of a film it would be worse to sequil. Most definately just an attempt at milking money from new fans of the original.

  • Totally agree with you. Can't understand any reasoning to make this film, just typical Hollywood assholes trying to cash in !

  • I'm gonna see it to make up my own mind. If it is as bad as we think it'll be, I won't let it ruin Donnie Darko. I love the butterfly effect and dipise the sequal... that doesn't ruin the first on though.

  • Pirate it, don't buy the DVD

  • your shit analogy made me chuckle.

  • The first Donnie Darko was awesome, but the 2nd movie failed at making a franchise

  • what do u want bitch...im right here...god dammit ur dumb!!! go the fuck away DockDemonick!!! ur just upset that i fucked ur mom so hard in the ass last night that she started to bleed...to bad i made her suck my huge dick afterwards haha...eat it bitch...oh wait, ur mom already DID

  • PART 3 OF 3: James Lafferty - One tree hill, Ed Westwick - gossip girl and then there was Jackson Rathbone from twilight. that in and of itself has every "twilighter" going to see the movie. i'd say that if donnie darko is a 10 on the scale, then s. darko is a 2.

tell the truth, aren't you at least a little curious?

  • PART 2 OF 3:i had to rent it out of curiosity. it in no way measures up to the original, the girls were skanky, and the backstory was incomplete, and there was too much going on. i think a lot of people watched this simply because it had some semi big names. Briana Evigan, who i guess is most known for step up 2 (hmm she must be a fan of crappy sequels)..

  • PART 1 OF 3: i love donnie darko also, and i agree that a sequel shouldn't have been made but seeing that it was and boycott attempts were unsuccessful..

  • While you do make valid points, I do still want to see it. Love the cake analogy hahaha! But I want to see it out of curiosity. Of course, it probably won't be half as good without Jake Gyllenhaal.

  • one thing we all have learned (by watching many many many dumsh*t sequels) is that no movie is sacred. And they can always think up a second part by redoing the first one with different actors (how many parts of wild things are out there?) ... well, I like Donne Darks, and the trailer for S.Darko looks interesting, like expanding the idea of the first one.

Well, I'll sure give it a try.

  • lol hahahah ok man u totally make perfect sence... but im laffing so hard about the part wen u say u have a choclate cake and shit on it.. that part is awsome!!!! kick ass man continue with the crits...

  • So I ordered S. Darko from Net Flicks to watch it to see if it is terrible. Yet I already knew going into this that it will be a terrible movie but...... I really want to watch it myself. Donnie Darko Is my 2nd favorite movie so.. I am going to be watching S. Darko with a clear mind as if it is its own movie to try to make the best of it. but this video kinda shys me away from it.

  • What's your 1st favourite?

  • I liked your example of the cake.

I shat myself laughing, i'm still laughing while i'm writing this.

  • i totally said titanic like 8 seconds before you did but yeah this looks like a piece of shit just more rapping of my fond memories well screw them all i hope everyone involved with this film dies a horrible and slow death

  • Lol do you realise that the Scarface game is essentially a sequel, the first mission is of Tony escaping from his mansions, but i do agree, a sequel is not needed nor wanted, its ridiculous and such a shame, anyone who needs a manual to understand and love Donnie Darko should never have watched it

  • Ur video is better than jesus

  • How could he have gone back in time. Not like I saw A portal.. Annyway movie is A bit comfuseing but i still like it =)

  • I'm werry upsett becouse they made A sequel as bad as they did. If they first make A sequel lett the original director so it! Its like I want to see A compleat remake of this one just to putt A bandage on the would allreddy made. I am so fucking upsett. Shit!!!

  • u r a very smart individual...nice video...i understand that u made this video before the movie came out...very cool

  • Richard Kelly (writer and director of Donnie Darko) has already said numerous times he has absolutely no involvement with this movie.

The movie is a joke to anyone who has seen Donnie Darko and its ridiculous that Chris Fisher wasted the time, effort and $ creating it. Instead of attempting to create a franchise around a masterpiece like Donnie Darko how about doing something "creative" like creating something original, oh wait thats too much of a risk.

  • dumb dumb dumb. lets see. if it was donnie darko 2 it would have been titled donnie dark part 2. dumb ass. it's a diff movie. it's s. darko. it's not about donnie it;s about his little sister who happens to be the same little sister in donnie darko. the movie is all about symbolism.

  • it is the same thing! have you seen it? have you even seen the previews? if what you're saying is true then they are just trying to make a movie like donnie darko, which is just as bad.

  • did the fuckin bible thumpers kill the kids cuz that jusus chugging bitch had the key to the lock but the ending was so fuckin pointless it didnt explain shit???

  • i think this could have been a very good movie ifit wasnt so much like the original in the main plot points. it had good character development and some good ideas of its own. i especially liked the way they tied the book back in to the story.

  • and to those comments "a movie deserves to be watched its still good..." okay i can remake an original amazing movie say american beauty, just change the rose petals into donuts (same symbolic meaning) and then change the race of the people and change the script a little to say that its a different movie, and somehow make somebody a relative of the original movie. its like a shitty spitting image of an amazing movie.

  • okay i've seen this film and a part inside of me died. how could anybody allow this to happen? they did a shitty job of remaking an amazing movie. used lines directly out of the original "they made me do it" and just replaced the characters with ones of different names.

  • Seriously folks, it wasn't all that bad. Watch it for yourself and make your own decision. Don't be a sheep and allow someone to dictate your opinion. Granted it doesn't hold a candle to the original, but it was a straight to DVD, take that into consideration. With all the fecal matter that Hollywood has put out, especially with the Butterfly Effect Trilogy, this deserves a once over. Although I would not recommend watching this if you haven't seen the original

  • Donnie Darko was such an iconic movie for me. It had an atmosphere in its own and the soundtrack is still one of my favorites. One of my favorite movies off all time and ive seen em all and then this comes out. Thankfully I only had to watch the trailer to know that they were going to destroy the franchise. Now I just have to push it out of my mind and know that the movie ended right after Gretchin came down that street. NOTHING ELSE. It's a real shame too, I hope this doesn't turn anyone off

  • I thought so too. I was really impressed by his work. I found his character was the only thing interesting about it, and that he did really well.

  • Some movies don't need sequel!

I hope someday directors will get this detail!

  • why would you boycott something if you cant see through the movie sequels may not be as strong as the originals visually but artistic senses prove the film is an icon in itself

  • Wow you fuckass. You do not know anything about s.Darko. I saw it a little while ago and when i saw Donnie Darko, it gave me a feeling of depression which made it one of my favorite movies. This though, not so much, gave me that same feeling. Its a great movie. It has its down moments but still captures the sad feeling of Donnie Darko. And Frank is not dead. Justin SPARROW is told by the manipulated dead, Samantha, about Donnie and Frank. He impersonates Frank to learn how to alter time.

  • lmao when you mention shitting in a chocolate cake

this film is so going to kill the originality of donnie darko, butterfly effect is also good and didn't need a sequel, i hate money grabbing directors that try to wreck great films

  • And you still don't get it... this is nothing to do with watching my favourite film a couple of times... it's about the sequel... the facts released when the film was greenlit are what were discussed in the above video... you my friend are an ignorant cunt

  • ooh and good shit on cake point;

  • racy point but great comparison

its like making a sequqel to pasion of the christ.

    YOU DONT DO IT!

did the real granny sparow die in real life?

everyone who helped make this movie possible FUCK YOU!

  • i need to make another point.

what the FUCK is Chuck doing in this god damn shit idea of a film?

  • S. Darko = Horrible

If you're looking for a movie that has a short sighted screen play, script, directing, bad graphics and a pointless story line this movie might just be for you. It tried to tie the old movie to the new but it failed miserably. I felt S. Darko robbed Donnie Darko fans through this ridiculous excuse for a movie. There was no originality, it was like watching Donnie Darko all over again but as if it were produced by a hyperactive 4 year old. Don't waste your time.

  • monkeyman87:

    i like you.

i hate sequels. a good 90% of the movies they make sequels of today were never meant to have them. what the fuck is going on here. s darko? yeah, right, sounds great. even the title. nothing they come up with is going to live up to "donnie darko" so they have to use an initial instead of her whole name? dingdingding! 1st sign this movie will be shit. basically you said entirely everything i was thinking when i saw this trailer. i appreciate that.

  • idk man, donnie darko is one of my favorite movies too and i liked s darko, it wasn't spectacular and not as good as donnie darko, but i think it was worth watching. you should check it out and watch it if you haven't already.

  • You really need to watch the movie, and get your facts right about S. Darko before you bash on it.

  • Can you understand the fact this video was made about a year ago, so therefore the facts in this video were stated when the film was announced

  • Frank isn't in S. Darko. The guy who is Roberta Sparrow's grandson makes a rabbit mask because his grandma (Roberta Sparrow) told him about Donnie and how he liked to draw rabbits(he drew frank) And frank wasn't just some ghost, it was the guy who killed his girlfriend.

In S. Darko, they're not just goiing to LA because of visions. Corey's dad owns a club and they're going to be dancers at the club.

  • Cont'd-

    4. The reason why it isn't set in the same place is explained. She was going on a road trip to escape from her family because after Donnie's death her family life turned to shit.

I absolutely loved Donnie Darko, and S. Darko, while I thought it was good, fell a little flat. Whether you liked the sequel or not is all your perogative, and everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But I think this video is nicely done, and at least you are standing up for what you think.

  • I'm not trying to be negative, but I just wanted to point out a few things.

    1. It's James Lafferty, the dude from One Tree Hill.

    2. He doesn't play Frank, he plays Sparrow's grandson, and he makes a Frank mask because Samantha sees the drawing of Frank's head/mask Donnie did in the book about time travel.

3.Daveigh Chase (Samantha Darko) is the only returning character from the last movie. No other character from Donnie Darko is in the movie....

  • continued....

That would have been epic plus at the end of the fist movie she waves at the mother. They should have gone off with her trying to figure out this life that didnt really happen for her. S.Darko was horribly disappointing. I see what they were trying to do, but they should have expanded more on the old lady sparrow and her grandson, they mentioned it in the movie but never really went with it. This could have been a huge movie but they blew it.

  • Ok I thought this movie could have had amazing potential. However it was horrible. I personally think that if they were to come out with a sequel it should have involved the girlfriend from the first movie. It should have had a plot like her having dreams of the "rabbit" and how she is remembering this life that didnt really happen, and how she some how sacrifices herself to save her mother from he abusive father and then in the end she ends up with Donnie in the alternate universe. ...

  • i like the chocolate cake imagery... and you're totally right, fuck this movie

  • wow yall are sum fuckasses.. hahaha s.darko an alright movie i saw it last night donnie was better buut who really even cares.. well obviously u guys do, i was confused about the book n drawing too but damm get onto a new topic the movies out now it wins, sooo see it or sumthing. ohhyeaa n sam soo pretty now.. n her friend a hoe cake... the priest guy.. naaaasttayy haha.

  • yhhh very true man s. darko will ruin it

the creators sold out its a shame.

  • so bad...such a bad movie...except for the head butt that was awesome lol

  • donnie darko is my fav movie as well, but S. darko was pretty damn good n if u want donnie darko 2 it aint gonna happen cuz DONNIE DIED! so they cant bring him back from the grave DUH! so watch S.Darko n deal with it! its GOOD!

  • the second u started that cake bit i favorited subscribed and commented

  • well actually no i've never even seen twilight nor do i have twilight posters on my wall and i have seen donnie darko, and can't wait to see s. darko (even if it does have s diff writer/director)

  • Oh and James Duvall played Frank.

  • Regarding Frank's existence. As a ghost. Frank died when he was shot in the Tangent Universe (TU) therefore is only a ghost in that TU. However, Frank would still drive off the road in the Real Universe Halloween Night avoiding Mother Death, he just wouldn't kill Gretchen. Perhaps he dies in a fiery car crash. Therefore he could still be a ghost on some plane of existence. OR Frank's destiny could be for him to act as a ghost for the Darko Family whenever someone enters a TU. Thoughts?

  • i have it...

  • what? truth hurts huh?

  • and what does twilight have to do with donnie darko? i dont get it...i think you love the movie and thats why you're always trying to compare darko to it...

  • The movie IS good...i actually watched it,unlike these douchebags.

  • you're*....idiot

  • I think it's funny how everyone thinks they're right and everyone else is retarded.

It's a fucking MOVIE, don't watch it if it's such a crime against the first one. Decoding it, and pointing out everything that's wrong with it doesn't make you look any smarter.

  • Watch the movie, the guy says "I made the mask based on donnies drawings" How did he do it if he never drew them? weird ......learn2notbeasmartass

Theres more than just the original thats why they made the second one...it tells you things that the first didnt...as with alot of sequels/prequels.

  • I didnt say he drew them in the book moron,i said he drew pictures..learn2read

  • Have you seen the movie??? LOL...its not "frank"

The guy has the mask cause Sam(DONNIES SISTER) told him to make it in one of the "visions"

so he made the mask based on donnies drawings of the rabbit.....seriously...did you even watch the movie??

  • He's right though, they should never have made a sequel. But when you only care about money things like artistic integrity doesn't matter.

  • your a retard frank dies in the end of the movie. keep crying about ij4. if you've got a problem with the sequel dont watch it. and at least they kept the same actress for sam. am i right? thank you!

  • I think you'll find you're the retard? Frank doesn't die at the end of the movie...

  • actually, frank does die. or the human frank does. donnie shoots him in the eye. but he lives on as a bunny.

  • frank doesn't die. he dies in the tangent universe when donnie shoots him, but in the end we come full circle and donnie dies, so please tell me, how exactly could frank still be shot? see also "mad world" ending scene where frank is in his room drawing the mask...

  • Actually Frank doesn't die, he dies in the tangent universe, he lives on in the real universe, if he was still dead that would mean Donnie died in vain

  • If they wanna do a good sequel they should set it in a parallel universe.

  • i had my doubts about this film even through the first 10-15 minutes, but i was pleasantly surprised by the end. it gave me much better insight to the original story. "wake up"...i think that's key to both stories

  • My opinion on that was, Perhaps before Donnie died he like, Forsaw Frank or something, Frank was in his mind before he died, So he drew the pictures. And for the Fuck S.Darko comment, Go kill yourself. Kthx, They need a sequel to open up some things,

  • and as it turned out s Darko was actually quite good. Not as good as the original but still good.

  • I feel the same way... I'm really sad!!! X( I really hope that they reconsider all of this!

  • dont hate me, but i thought it was pretty good. it was good follow up but i dont see why they used donnies sister instead of coming up with a completely new character.

  • Not that I think the sequel was a good idea.. but you sound like youre just whining.. its a movie ANYTHING can happen, its not real.. therefore any direction they take could be possible because its not real lol.. the writers dont have to do anything they can explain away stuff, leave plotholes open.. do whatever they want because they wrote it..

  • Then whats the point? If youre giong to make a sequel it should coincide with the original film and make sense, otherwise you should create an entirely different story. Your statement basically says "Theyre allowed to leave it shitty and unexplained and nonsensical." Thats retarded.

  • They are, should they? no.. but can they, are they allowed to, yes.. you can critique their reasoning but not their right

  • and I just watched Donnie Darko the other day and realised that Seth Rogan is in it!... Wow...

Oh, and I also just found out that Donnie Darko was FILMED in 28 days... A coincidence?

  • Obviously he posted that video LAST year.

You know, before S. Darko was S. Darko. 2008 is not 2009.

He is going over what he heard was going to happen in the S. Darko movie, and maybe the script or plot changed from that time to now. So I don't understand why people are bashing this "brit with a slow mind" when he was talking about a movie that was just underway in shooting , not the S. Darko that came out this month.

Look at dates everyone, and context (IJ4-2008) before you insult someone.

  • Some of you guys' comments are pretty ridiculous. Not once did I state Richard Kelly was involved. Look at when this video was posted... almost a year ago. The facts on this film were different then, I know now there isn't a Frank to speak of and I know that Justin Chatwin isn't in here either. Regardless I tried to watch the film as a standalone film as best as I could and it did the job of making me turn it off after ten minutes...

  • Movie was ok. The ending was actually pretty intense. The person who played the bunny was cool. I didn't like how the girl died like 104392 times haha

  • Of course though most people in this world are not so bright and only enjoy movies that spell things out for them. Like holding the hand of a mentally challenged person while they cross the street as to not let them get run over by traffic. So to those people I say, go watch night at the museum 2, that's more your cup of tea.

  • I saw this film. First the man in the bunny mask is Roberta Sparrows Grandson. Of course he's NOT frank. The meteorite starts the whole sequence of things. If you watch the movie and pay attention to the inner meaning and not be some drone watching a movie you may get it.

  • well obviously you never saw the film! Cause if you did, then you'd know what the fuck your talking about and it was a good movie considering that it wasn't made by Richard Kelly.

  • dont waste your money in buying s darko. this movie sucks, it has bad acting bad story every things sucks about this movie when it could have been better.

  • Is it me or was S. Darko more like another bad sequal of "The Butterfly Effect" ?

  • Nah S. Darko was so much better then " The Butterfly Effect"

And in my opinion S. Darko was great

  • Ye exactly Donnie Darko made you think about what was going on one of my favorite movies too, but you are incorrect Frank is in it because Donnie kills himself with the Jet before he shoots Frank in the eye duh. But you are tright the first one ended so it wouldn't have to have a shit sequel.

  • He would not be in it as Frank the 'ghostly messenger' because he is not dead by the end of the first film. From the montage at the end of the first film, I like to think that Frank never bothered going out on Halloween.

  • i saw s darko..... and i kinda liked it.... it think i would like it more if i wasnt so lost.... i really dont see a connection to the first movie.... personally i think they should make one last movie on darko and the time tangent stuff just so they can wrap it all up and people can say "oh i finally get it!" but the whole idea behind darko is very intriguing....

  • Does every movie have to become a trilogy?

  • I disagree, no film that's unexplainable needs another film to help it out. There's a Donnie Darko book and a director's cut which 'helps', it didn't need a sequel. My first thought was, why the fuck is Samantha so special?

  • i agree, with the samantha thing, whats so significant about her...

like i said, i really dont see the connection between the two movies... its like they are completely separate movies with similar plots...

  • I saw S. Darko, expecting it to be really bad, but it was actually pretty good. You really shouldn't insult a movie you haven't seen. Frank isn't in the film, they didn't go to LA and it was actually really good. I'm also a huge Donnie Darko fan and I think they did a pretty good job giving Samantha her own story. The person you think is Frank, is Justin Sparrow. It's not a "sequel" it's a continuation.

  • watched it. loved the first, hated this one. and yeah they do kind of explain Frank, but as an extension of the first through the Sparrow novel because Donnie drew a pic of him in the book. it was awful and painful to watch. decently acted but none the less badly written and confusing where the first actually had a point ni the end. the only thing that was similar between the two was how in the end i had this angry, frustrated, exhausted feeling.

  • I am confused as to how Donnie would ever have written in the book if he never got the book before he dies.

  • i thought the drawings of the bunny were on a piece of paper in the book...

  • IT'S LIKE A SEQUAL TO PEARL HARBOR.

    I feel you dude.

I watched S. Darko last night.

    It was so bad.

So so so so so so bad.

    I almost cried.

  • this video suks english cock

  • I haven't seen Donnie Darko in a while but if I remember correctly, Donnie saw Frank becasue Donnie himself killed Frank by shootting him in the eye. This one makes no since, they have nothing really to go on to make a sequel. So many movies made in the US have been rushed and Donnie Darko was all about the details Even if they did have anything to go on from the first film to produce a sequel, judging by the trend of American films lately, it would suck.

  • If you're going to insult a great film, please use proper grammar and spelling. Thanks!

  • Let me get you straight; you seem a bit confused. I am a HUGE fan of Donnie Darko, by the way. Hun, if you thought the second one was great you insult the original film. Don't worry, I have watched the second one I know what I am talking about. It's a little sad that you are unable to defend your point, "please use proper grammar and spelling." Let's not mention the fact that technically "Thanks!" is grammatically incorrect. If you want to chastise my spelling check your writing style first.

  • I haven't seen the second one yet, I just think you need to learn how to spell hun.

  • You are terribly sad if the only way you feel that you can defend your point is by nagging about insignificant details. If you haven't seen the second film that must mean you thought I was referring to Donnie Darko. If this is the case, I will improve my spelling (there were only two btw) when you improve your reading comprehension skills. For the record I was typing fast because I was in a rush and didnt have the time to edit a youtube comment that was not directed at you, hun.

  • p.s. you should watch a movie befor you make a reveiw about it.. you got allot of it allll wrong

  • It was expectitly not going to compare to the original at all. But, I thought it was decient! Not horrible, not great..

  • Superiorest You are an idiot. Have you even seen Donnie Darko it had nothing to do with self loathing you over zealous shit.

  • Why don't you not worry about it?

I'm not a little self loathing teenager who is so deep and unique that I think I'm cool because I'm a fan of Richard Kelly.

I enjoy Donnie Darko because Richard fucking Kelly is an amazing directer. The original movie is completely dedicated to detail. That's what makes it amazing. So fuck you, and go eat a shit cake.

  • Ummm....was this directed at me or at Superiorest? O_O

  • HAHA! That's hilarious. Thank you for making my day.

    Sequels piss me off.

  • If you want to see the sequel to the ideas in Donnie Darko, go see Southland Tales, the next movie by the same director. If you want to see some rip-off garbage, written and directed by someone who ISN'T the creator of the original donnie darko, and thus does NOT have the same twisted head-space that created the movie you love, then by all means see this trash.

  • Couldn't have said it better myself. This film will be shit.

  • Don't try to lay out the movie...

Going to say you're wrong... But I won't say no more. I don't want to spoil it for you.

Watch it... It beats watching 2 Fast 2 Furious by far...

  • no. i'm pretty sure it'll suck. it's like making a sequel to howard the duck.

in other news though. samantha got HOT. wtf?

  • Yeah she's pretty. Her friend (Briana Evigan) in the movie is hot too, but more in a slutty way.

The movie didn't suck (in my opinion). The movie wasn't near the best thing I've seen, either. (also my opinion)

Fast and the Furious 1 was good, 2 SUCKED ass, just when I hoped they wouldn't screw it up more they made Tokyo Drift, which was alright. Then they had to drag it out into F&F4.

    Sequels.

But a movie is a movie. I'll never pass up a good form of entertainment. At least to judge properly.

  • haha "its like you have a chocolate cake and you...shit on it. and then you try to make the shit look like chocolate."

i really think this movie is going to be awful

  • He's got the right idea Donnie Darko did not need a sequel its like he said a sequel to titanic "titanic's revenge" it gives the wrong concept of what the original is about its like a sequel to Scarface starring some popular actor from now or a sequel to Fight Club or Vanilla Sky or The Wizard of Oz wtf?!

  • Uh, Donnie Darko was made on budget of 4.5 million and S.Darko was made on 4 million. I just wanted to say that, but I suppose you probably figured that out by now...

  • Comment removed

  • Yup exactly what I was thinking, those actors were awesome... but it's still sad to say that the movie didn't break even...

  • i dont need to watch your video to know i want it to be boycotted lol, its sad and i cant even imagine what the soundtrack will be like....yikes

  • I feel alot of people have gotten the wrong idea of this movie, I don't really think this way made to be a "part two" but rather a new chapter in a already "messed up" story (I mean
