The older engines sound better but these new ones allow it to takeoff sooo much quicker.

Yes! One of the first new engined Il-76 90vd movie.
And a good one!
When I started the movie I saw it on the larger diameter of the engine.
When he gave full power I heared the typical Il-96-300/Tu-204/214 engine sound.

@43447 Wow with these engines it takes off so much faster! but it might of not had much cargo on it I wonder how fast it takes off with kuznetsov engines and no payload.

@TonyFirelli The Il-76 never had Kuznetsov engines. The D-30KP and the PS-90A-76 are both Solov'yov products.

The Il-76 can vissit every european airport with this silent engines,....a second big advantage that it's not underpowered anymore.
I think it's a very good step to enquip Il-76s
with engines like this, cause it's a very easy plane for gargo and operating on very bad airport conditions.
I think it's also a very welcome solution for the Il-86,....also for his noisy reputation, but esspecially for a acceptable range.
