They started in Canada in 2002 two of the girls Nicky and Ruth are from Winnepeg Manitoba and initially Cara. Now her replacement Heather is from New York. Their popularity exploded here in 2006 winning many Canadian music awards although they had been touring since 2003/4. They are a treasure. I don't think they talk about their spirituality much but they certainly have a God given talent and are making great use of it. I just love folk and close harmony's the best music IMO
Some people get irritated by people saying, “I’m not religious, I’m spiritual.” I don’t have any certain concepts about the way the world might work, and I don’t think that anybody knows exactly how it works." Nicky Mehta of the Wailin' Jennys
Regarding the "religious" discussion, if you missed it, Nicky offered her reply to the questions. I'll repost them in this and the next comment:
"We’re all very spiritual people. Cara comes from a Christian background, but she’s not a really overt Christian, you know what I mean? She’s very laid back—she has faith, but she’s not the preachy kind at all. And Ruth and I—I don’t consider myself to come from any particular denomination , and I’m fascinated by all religions.

This year in December, I couldn't sleep for weeks, I got really down, I was really stressed from school and my mom picked me up from the train station one day, said, "be quiet for a second. listen to this song." When she played it, I identified with it so much it brought tears to my eyes. Thats the beauty of music, it provides an outlet for emotion.
I have a feeling the band is going to get more popular. A song they redid played on a popular television series called Army Wives. That is how I found out about the band. My thinking is I am not the only one thinking they sound great.
I think they are christians but not sure. It's usually kind of hard for people who aren't to sing Christian songs and these girls do sometimes. They are great!

I LOVE THIS BAND!!! They played in my town last summer & hardly anyone showed up to hear them.. it was a disgrace! They make everything sound so beautiful. Keep the videos coming :)
The missing (not to say "lost") chord -- the one that comes in at "I've been a fool" and matching points in other verses -- is E minor. (It's the relative minor for G major, which may be why it's hard to distinguish. In fact, you could play G6 instead and it might be close enough.)
I'd be willing to align the chords with the lyrics -- is that what you mean by a tab? -- but I'm not confident I can make text line up here. Sorry. (I can do it on NotePad, if that helps anyone.)
Correct post

They are amazing! A bit of a cross between the Indigo Girls and Dixie Chicks with a bit of Celtic thrown in, don't you think?
And they are from Winnipeg, Canada!
