Tip: The Hammer Spin is very effective against him. The only risk though is using it during Dedede's Hammer Spin attack and getting hit by it.

You know, an epic ending for that boss is when he was low HP, you can dash, then press the button that releases the hammer (I think it's the Y button) and then Kirby will throw the hammer and the hammer will spin and kill Dedede....epic
