  • My love to Virginia McKenna , Bill Travers , Joy and George Adamson , freedom fighters all of them , thank you

  • Oh man, I hate that the ending was cut off. I wanted to hear this version of the song, which is a bit different from the standard record.

  • thats great movie of love and bleave.one of the best HEART TOUCHED MOVIE.LOVE U ALL,LOVE IS GOD

  • Someday, I'll have to see about getting the book (or books) from our local library, because I like to see how true the films stayed to the books. And I'm sure there must've been other "adventures" that they had (because time seems to pass quicker in films than the books, if you get what I mean).

  • Excellent Score by John Barry...who won Score and Song at the Academy Awards!!!!

  • When ever i see this movie I can barley speak. I just get very quite, I saw it three time at the thathre Kialua Hawwii when I was a child.

  • Who sings this song, BORN FREE? It's lovely. Great movie....

  • @Nonpeon matt monroe

  • very nice movie its seems like true story

  • @TheSultanhaider

It is. Read the books, they're awesome.

  • 40 something years ago watched this movie @ about 5 years old, cried like a child and even now when I here the theme to Born Free I am reduced to tears. My favourite movie of all time. Thank you Elsa for being the inspiration for the love I have for all animals.

  • This is one of the best movie in the film history.

  • this part always makes me cry!! :'(

  • thanks for loading this A true classic Brings back found memories of days gone bye

  • can't believe i'm crying

  • Fantastic

  • Late in 2009 my wife and I went to Kenya, to the very location this story took place. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to visit Elsa's grave, but we loved our stay. For people who love this story, it may be heartening to know that Kenya has long since banned hunting. If you shoot an animal, except in self-defense of course, you'll be considered a poacher and you'll be shot on sight. Some poaching is done but I would say not much. Proof - the elephants are very calm with people around.

  • Many thanks for the upload. Great film and great story!

  • THANK U VERY MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS MOVIE I'D BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS FOR A LONG TIME U MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR ME TO SEE IT. I ENJOYED IT VERY MUCH..AND CRIED A LOT WHEWW. Thanks a lot bjorki14 ,God bless u.

  • she had to shoot the gun gosh lady i thought you wanted the lion to learn to fend for herself.

  • I Think those lion cubs that Elsa has are so cute and adorable, makes me want to pick each of them cuties up, and just hold them for hours.

  • such a cool story! I cried! I admit it...

  • thanks for uploading this film my favorite movie of all times brings back a lot of memories.... such a beautiful story

  • This film has moved me to tears. One of the greatest films I´ve ever watched. Thanks!!!

  • As I was watching this clip my two retarded arsed cats were going mad running around the living room chasing one another and playing chase the tail. Guess it's just nature, but I just wish they'd not smash my beer glass collection or chew my PC cables on a daily basis.

  • my mum took me to see this film when it came out in 1966, when I was 6 years old & it was quite something. "Born Free to Follow Your Heart". I'm 50 now & am going to buy it on DVD & take it with me on my mums soon-to-be birthday for a present. I'm a rufty-tufty not quite ex-traveling man but I think we'll both end up in floods of tears!!

  • @pinickityme I was eighteen when Born Free came out. I was a cinema projectionist at the time at the Embassy Tenterden Kent. My Dear Mum & Dad came to see the film. My Mother loved it. A beautiful film with a haunting theme song. Now, in my early 60s and my dear Mother has long passed over, this film will always remind me of the day my Mum (Francis) came to see Born Free at this once beautiful Kentish cinema.

  • @tenterden16 priceless.........

  • One of the greatest scenes in cinematic history, The triumphant return of Elsa,

    BORN FREE AND LIVING FREE!!

  • I just loved this movie.. n m really proud of Elsa that she didn't let Joy down for the future which she had dreamt for her......... the moment was splendid, touching wen she entered the camp wid her cubs...............thanx for uploading

  • i want to work at that kenya place and make a difference to these animals, beautiful creatures, and hope all living creatures that have stepped on this earth have a happy life.

Shame im in england and im 13 :/ LOL

  • Elsa died free...but it was tragic....She succumbed to Babesia felis, a cat malaria.

  • i always cry when i hera the song 'BORN FREE' by matt monro

  • let it flow

  • My Favo of all times

  • This movie makes me cry more than any other. Elsa is so amazing, so intelligent and beautiful,,,you can't help but love her. Seeing her starve and suffer to become wild again breaks my heart...but in the end,...after all those years of being separated and on her own...to see her come back and find the humans who raised her,... now with cubs of her own....totally makes me lose it! I cried uncontrollably at the drive-in the first time I saw this movie as a teen-aged boy and every time since!

  • OMG loved itt!!!

  • what happened to the end ? this isnt the end yet no others are listed ? What a dissapointemt

  • It's really sad, because both Joy and George were murdered, Joy in 1980 and George in 1989. ;( RIP.

  • THANK YOU for making this movie available ! ***** 5 STARS FOR ELSA

i laughed and cried just like i did 40 + years ago. omg how can so many years have passed? such a great story.. another wonderful story is Christian the lion... loved that one too.

  • what an amazing story, nearly made me cry.

  • This is one of the most amazing movies ever made!!!!

  • cheers for uploading!!!! what a wicked film!

  • Wonderful movie, amazingl true story. She was gorgeous...and yes, free..Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful film.

  • I just read more about the death of Joy Adamson, she was actually murdered by one of her former employees, not killed by a lion. Wow, that is now resolved.

  • OMG "sniff" "sniff" This was tremendous. Did everyone know that Joy Adamson was eventually killed by a lion ?

  • not as cool as Ace Ventura but still

  • So beautiful, and if you want to see another reunion similar to this one, you should look into the story of Ace and John who raised a lion cub called Christian the lion, then returned him to the wild and went to visit him a year later, the reunion between them is on youtube all over, and it is also a true story.

  • Elsa forever.

    Jambo Elsa.

    Thanks to post it.

  • A Classic

  • the only problem they did whas that, elsa whasetn scared of humans. And lions need to be it to avoid us, becous as fast we see a lion near a villige we kill it with out thinking, Humans are the terros of the world, wich makes me mad! we are destorying everything. this movie made me feel emotional, amazing story!

  • @DonChilenito I completely agree with you!

Perhaps...we humans were slightly better in the mid 60s as a race!!!

  • @DonChilenito nice nice word that right

  • Way too sweet .Made for old church ladies. :)

  • Thank you so much for sharing this film!

  • Ive been looking for this beautiful movie and Im so glad you made it possible for all of us to watch this unforgettable story of Elsa.

  • @mcra080908

if you was looking for something like this look into the story of Ace and John who raised a lion cub called Christian the lion, then returned him to the wild and went to visit him a year later, the reunion between them is on youtube all over, and it is also a true story.

  • Can you put up the sequel to this movie?

  • amazing reunion

  • Correction to the subtitles:

at 7:33, the Kenyan isn't saying "jump up, he's saying, "Jambo", Swahili for "hello".

  • I am in the same condition of Caritowest. I see this movie i was a child and I am 48 years old now and I am cry again. This is one of my fovourites movies, for many reason: For the history, the music and for I am a person in love of the nature and because I think all humans: Animals or Man born in a word free. Thank you very much for dowloading. The video is perfectly

  • Thanks so much for posting this film, I did not know I was going to be able to see it again. I watched "Born Free" ("La leona de dos mundos") as I was a child, I am 40 years old now. For so long the song was played in my mind so many times until finally I had the chance to watch the film a week ago. I cried again and felt so much real love, if there could only be films like this! Thanks

  • Thank you for posting this!

  • thank you thank you thank you for posting!! they dont make stuff like this anymore

  • yea, the last lion movie i saw was awful, i dont remember the name but it had to do with a pack of lions stalking a group of tourists.

  • God bless these people. What an amazing story.

    Thanks for uploading!

  • elsa and her ciblings would have never survived with out joy she would have died

  • The movie was good yes. But in certain points, wrong. This is the kind of video that makes people think they want wild and very dangerous animals as pets. Not to mention giving the impression it's okay to release an animal that's lived in captivity into the wild.

Allowing wild animals to become used to humans?

Having Elsa come to the sound of a shotgun? Makes it awfully easy for poachers... (yes I know, it's just a movie but still..) Plus a number of other things that irritated me.

  • I understand your point. and it is important for people to understand this is one of lifes little miracles not something that you do when your pet lion decides to rip your face off. the jersey garden state parkway is not a place to release your wild pet. but still this movie is AMAZING and Joy was an amazing person. and this was an amazing story

  • lovi estando muy pequeño (7años creo ) con estas peliculas qu tuve suerte de verlas nacio miamor por los animales . graciaspor haberlo subido

  • Its a great movie...

    mothers love to all..

  • This movie still holds up after all these years. Incredible scenes with no cgi effects to help with the film making back then. I still can't watch this movie without getting teary eyed. The music is great. I love lions and for some reason this movie reminds me of all the dogs and cats I had as pets growing up and how much I miss them all. It makes me wonder why some people don't like animals. I just don't get it. We can learn so much from them and besides, they were here first.

  • well, you can see Elsa's descendants in Serengeti plains in Tanzania and Kenya

  • I just love this movie. Grew up with it!! Me and my brothers watched the video untill it got all jumpy and struff :D Thanx for posting it!!

  • Wow, that has just brough a lump too my throat!!!

Thanx for posting this film Bjorki14!!!

  • the best movie ever

  • i agree. think they have the sequel up?

  • lets hope for the best
