I saw this movie last night but I've been a fan since the 1st time I saw it in 1990. I was born in 1975 so don't have memories of watching it on the silver screen. I gotta say tho that this film is chock full of stars like you wouldn't believe it.
I'm form the Philippines ive seen this movie when i was 7 yrs old with my dad..i'm 40 now...but i remember this song, it stuck with me coz it was & it still is a beautiful song..listening to it now makes me remember my dad & i love for movies..those were the days of my happy childhood
i'm from the Philippines.i've seen this movie when i was 7 yrs old with my dad..steve mc queen & paul newman..i'm 40 now but i still remember it..those were the days of my childhood..me & my dads love for movies.

'Don't stop the flow we can't let go'? This won an Oscar? Who wrote the lyrics? Homer Simpson? I don't want to even ask who wrote this horrible cringe music. What an utter disaster. Hollywood should make a disaster movie about the making of a disaster movie. Could be comedy of the millennium.
The song reminds me of the sweet memory when I was a 8-year-old kid in Macao, and the movie was so stunning the I considered it was the best one I have ever seen then.
This shouldn't have even been nominated for the Oscar, LMAO. It has absolutely nothing to do with the "The Towering Inferno". A song in a film is supposed to be a reflection or enhancement of the ideas and feelings within the movie.
While I agree it may not be the greatest song, think about the title: "We May Never Love Like This Again." To me, having this song sung at the party before all the disasters strike, it forebodes the changes everyone will go through. People may/will die, get separated for a time.....kinda see what I mean?
"We May Never Love Like This Again" is an awful way to represent the idea of people dying. Lyrics are supposed to reflect intent. It sounds like a breakup song, not anything that has to do with a building collapsing and people being caught in the fire, etc.
Like I have already said, not really the best song (yes, they certainly could've done better!); I was just giving my opinion as to the possible thought behind the song, or why it was even nominated.
17 oohh man i was 17.........now im close to the other end getting ready to check out ffs life not fair gives u all good times then takes it away.....one good thing the rich ppl got to die aswell ......HAHAHA
I find it quite funny that the Oscar winning song from this classic disaster flick, The Towering Inferno, was called WE MAY NEVER LOVE LIKE THIS AGAIN.
I was very lucky years ago to see The Sick & Twisted Performers of San Francisco do a live version of The Towering Inferno and it was hilarious!
It was not the acting of the Performers that was used as a criterion for selecting this piece as the best winning song, rather the music, lyrics and interpretation. Of course, any song would mean nothing to a simpleton.
And not only are they stars they are THE legends of Hollywood. I absolutely love this film, it's one of the all time classics.

I've seen this movie at age 15or 16. On my highschool memorial day. I've seen
this 2or3 times on one day . I can see the
great Stars in this move. It reminedes me of that day.

And if you're going to post a clip then pipe the feed straight into the MP3. Don't record from daddy's transistor radio on the next room. Troglodyte.

The movie was trash and so was the song. But hey - the disaster movie schtick was not Hollywood's greatest era.

OK is it my imagination or is there always some beautful feathered haired white woman singing 70's hopeful songs in disaster/horror movies:
Towering Inferno
Poseidon Adventure
Carrie (oh that's Katy Irving not McGovern singing I Never dreamed Someone Like You Could Want Someone Like Me)

As a fan of the movie and this song, I have to disagree with you!
If you have seen the movie, which it sounds like you haven't, you have a few "love stories" within the whole drama of the flames!
I beg of you.. PLEASE see the movie before posting anymore posts like this one!
versaceboy5 2 years ago
Uh, no, I've seen the movie. The "love stories" within the film are flimsy and undeveloped.

映画で使われたテイクでしょうか?こちらのほうが演奏がシンプルで過剰なストリングスがかかっていない分ボーカルが強調されてずっといいですね・・
