It depends on the size, if they had those 'dragerons' thingys like on the b-2 on this size it would work. Large wings of this size are often real bitches, they are so floaty that the pitch is so sensetive to down elevon, so if it starts to climb steeply and you correct with a tiny ammount of down, the thing will 'dig in' and shoot down almost vertically... which is what happened here.

Oh, and you do need them really. It will go straight without them, but as soon as it starts to turn, there is nothing to stabalise it.

@mxf7010g8k Yes, we know that some RC flying wings don't use vertical stabs....but many do. It probably would have made this plane a lot more stable.
