Okay, I just want to say that no matter what people have read/said, there is NO WAY that they could kill Gordon off in ep.3. Maybe Gman can send him off for another 20 years, but he won't die...he IS the half-life story. If anything, they could at least make HL3 about a child he and alyx had or something....in that way he could still be dead and referenced, but not "killed."

*The story is close to be over - gordon dies in ep3.

*The "HL WORLD" isn't over as one of gordon's sidekicks will continue the story (My bet is on his lil gf)

*Have you played "PORTAL"? It is an apartere sience boat.. it has a portal gun in it(which the combine wants to use to open a portal to their world) and probably a GlaDOS of some version.. both lethal weapons..

*zombie problem? what zombie problem? As soon as the combine stops throwing head crabs all over it will be solved :)

i dont know much about hl sotry cause i never beat hl1 but arent headcrabs part of xen? i know gordon kills that boss at the end but thats all i know. and the combine are just human slaves for the synth to gain benifits such as a meal.

close.. the headcrabs ARE part of xen.. but the combine (another alien race) uses them against humans. The problem is they don't realy care if they attack a human or a combine. But if they stop sending the headcrabs in (with the headcrab rocket things) they would instinct (no way of reproducing that i can think of)

the "story line" ends at ep3, not the HL world. From all indications, after gordon dies at the end of ep3 you will play alex at HL3 (or 4 if they consider the eps as HL3)

Besides, in an interview with attack of the show, gabe hinted very strongly that the portal gun will apear in ep3 (it will surly apear in story line, but i dont know if playable weapon)

I can't speak for others but I would personally LOVE to see how the HPRE Engine handles object physics, especially where environment destruction is concerned.
