  • I cant wait for AVATAR 2&3. :(

  • 4:00! :D

  • the RDA/SecOps should of won made me sad to see most of them die.

Col Quaritch I will always respect you sir

You made me feel good to be american

seeing on how everyone hated the Americans but I remained staying faithful and proud of my side and knowing i wasn't alone when I knew that Col Quaritch and the SecOps werent bad guys,

Even the actor who played as Col Quaritch said his character wasn't a bad guy.

To arms brother I will always remain on my side through even the most darkest times

  • @USMCCptKennedy It's people like you that make the world hideous and filled with rage and war.

  • @USMCCptKennedy Dafuq?

  • I love how all the comments on this video are about going green and respecting the Earth.

  • just LOVE the part from 3:42

    AMAZING movie =)

  • so wt if we have 2 go 4.4 light years if we want 2 be naiv lets find a way 2 do it

  • Although a lot of us want to be part of the Na'Vi, and clearly cannot... at least we all got to be in the shoes of Jake Sully. We learned something from Netyri. Her lectures on connecting with earth, animals, and people were written and filmed in obviously a good enough way, with the entrancing music included, that it kept us all interested; it made us think twice about those things. Whereas, if it were to have been said by some typical female in another movie, we would probably have grown bored

  • Now this was the weirdest part of the film, changing your concience to another body. But it's quite cool in a way to do that though. Peace to all, I regret nothing.

  • i think you people are missing the point.. if you wanna live like this.. stickin you tail in everything you walk with ride on or fly.. nudge nudege wink wink.. the earthling equal is be a pervert, dont eat fast food, hell grow you own food.. and most important. get off the internet. youd think the paradox is... ugggh, whats the point.

  • i think the main reason people want to be Na'Vi is because you can directly interact with nature. make a bond (Saheylou) with any creature or to the tree of souls to hear the voices of your ancestors too. Even Eywa!!!!!!!! we have no connection to anything that is that deep and pure. to meld mind and body as one. Nothing here on earth comes close to comparing the idea of actually knowing your god REALLY exists. its tangible and not abstract. As Neytiri screams at the end "EYWA HAS HEARD YOU!"

  • @jadecen Well the main reason *I* want to be a Na'Vi is because i would get to fly around on a big, awesome birdy thing.

  • @jadecen Yes we can be connected to nature here and be one with all other walks of light. Please research spirituality, the deep confinements of many religions, native persons, mayans, etc etc...

  • so u wanna be na'vi? smoke weed and watch this movie. real talk

  • If they said, "wanna be a Na´Vi i wouls say hell yea, the life is so much more pure there. They really care about their planet unlike us. Even though it´s fictional.

  • i'd say at about 3:39 it gets really good, otherwise the best track would be jakes first flight.

  • about 3:51, that's my favorite music part of the movie, i feel the same as jake felt running through that field as fast as he could with actual working legs....finally lol but seriously I feel like jumping from a mountain and soaring high for miles and miles.....freedom......*sigh* I wish I lived on pandora

  • They really put some thought into this...if you played the game, you can examine things. They put amazing descriptions into things.

  • The best movie!!!! :D :D

  • I was amazed when I first saw this part of the film, how they could change their concience form their human form to their Avatar form, very cool. But I also liked the music aswell as the film.

  • The last few minutes of it are abosolutely incredible. makes me dream.

  • Some guys on here say they want to live like a Navi. Well all you really need to do is create a tribe of people, whear a loin cloth, And go run around in a rainforest. The message in the story isnt about if your a navi, life will go on great and happy and the earth will be saved. It's telling you to take care of earth more. We're all exactly like a Navi ;) We just don't act like them.

  • @SuperPureawesomness "We're all exactly like na'vi."

    *watches pic at 3:49*

    No,no we're not.

  • 6go6th6ic you are right all the of the world somebody

n important would to listen what you say friend

  • 3:45-4:20 beautiful <3

  • @navinavi66 You do know technology has doomed the earth as well...and you're on a computer? lol Funny. Not that I don't care about the environment but I find his/her post contradicting.

  • @vampyretears666 Uh, you're on a computer too.

  • Not Navi people would Have religion to seperate us, And make us kill each other.

  • god james horner has the magic touch. =D

  • @ardelleweatherwaxee Dude, watch it at the theater in 3d I-Max. Wayyy better than the lame 2d probably poor quality website.

  • The main-question, what can we do to save our planet? To rely on politicians can never be a good idea... Or?

  • @Showmelove2006

We can do less babies. Thats it.

less babies --> less people who consume nature. --> we take everything from nature and turn it to something that cant be easly turned back to nature --> Humans care only about life they are used to right now, think about this. (less people today are actually thinking)

  • @undeadlanttu No, you have those children and make them better than us. Teach them to be better than we ever have. Only then will humanity evolve.

  • Reduce, re-use, recycle. Reduce waste, reduce emissions, use renewable energy, re-use as much as you can or give it to some one who can re-use it, recycle everything you can (which is almost everything these days) buy organic, use your car less often or not at all, buy eco friendly products including electrical items with eco settings, stop eating meat (lots of livestock for all those hamburgers= lots of methane) if everyone did this the planet may stand a chance, but not enough people care.

  • @FGP02 Not eating meat is kind of ridiculous, but the rest I agree with.

  • It's the amount of livestock humans have to keep to keep up with the demand for meat, all those cows are contributing a ridiculous amount of methane to the air, if we ate less meat or none at all (or hunted for it yourselves if need be) eventually farmers would need less animals, less livestock means less toxic gasses. Eat meat if you want, that's fine but the way we currently produce meat is damaging the planet.

  • @FGP02 See, now it makes more sense lol.

  • I ran out of room to explain the first time, but i knew that might confuse people as most people don't know how much our food production is damaging not only our planet but our own health. If you're interested there is a great documentary called food inc which explains everything better than I can here, someone uploaded it to youtube so it's easy to find.

  • Best part: 3.44 when the music changes...so stunning.

  • Troy?

  • is it unhealthy to want to be a Na'Vi?

  • @whipid Theres a term some of us use to describe ourselves called "furries". I suggest you do some research..trust me friend, you aren't the only one

  • @ChibiWhitetiger I no wat it means, and I dont have a fettish. I just... oh I dont know... ya know, liked how they lived. and unfortunatly, all the native bands have all been Westernized. I just wanna live like them

  • @whipid its not a fetish, and btw, you know how I said "do your research?" CSI and entourage don't qualify

  • @whipid perhaps :D wishing to be a fictional character shows you are unhappy with yourself, try to improve your own life, screw fiction :)

  • dun worry i wanna be a Na'vi too :x

  • @whipid no he wouldnt want to be a tall person, strong person with carbon fiber bones who lives on the beautiful world of Pandora

  • @whipid No. NOT AT ALL. I would love to be a "blue monkey".

  • @FangNoLoveMax you mean, blue kitteh...

  • @whipid If it is unhealthy, then we're both unhealthy people. I would rather be a Na'vi than a human being.

  • @whipid Not at all. Most people do.

  • @whipid

    xD nope

  • @whipid I don't think so .. me too I want to be one of them ..

  • @whipid I don't think so .. me too I want to be one of them ..

  • @whipid

Well Jake was an addict to his body you know

  • @Johnlindsey289 wait, the actor was addicted to his fictional body?

  • @whipid

The actors name wasn't Jake so..... no

  • @whipid yes because it's only a movie

  • Speaking on the subject of music, I do so admire James Horner's work.

  • 3:50 i love this scene:) jake can RUN:)

  • for all you avatar fans: if you would like to live in pandora, then do something to save our planet!! the Na'vi people would never do what we are doing to our earth...

  • @6go6th6ic:

We can reduce, reuse, and recycle for the rest of eternity, but we'll never get all the cool animals and plants Pandora has. The magic of that planet can't be replicated on Earth, so it's kind of a mute point to say that "hey, if you want to live on Pandora, save Earth first."

I completely agree with doing all we can to help Earth, but your argument here is slightly irrelevant because Earth will never be like Pandora, not matter what we do... Just saying.

  • @6go6th6ic you are so right, the humans destroy the earth. it isn't our earth, it was never ouer earth and it will never be our earth. we don't have the right to do that with the world, what we do hundrets of years. long before this planet was as beautiful as pandora, i'am sure.

  • @6go6th6ic

"Save our planet"? haha are you fucking kidding me?

the planet will be FINE, its been around forever, its the people that will be fucked eventually. not the planet. the planet will go on in new era's.

  • @WQLFY its a whole list of things that won't be fine..

    like all life perhaps?

we are on a living planet.. if we kill every living being on it, do you really think our planet will be fine? then it will just be another empty rock with no meaning or purpose..

  • @6go6th6ic Not true....humans evolved from something else entirely, and when we are gone something new will arise. The dinosaurs at one point in time were equivalent to us humans in respects......but they to died off and the earth moved on....when we are gone it will also move on, it does NOT need us we need it.

  • @vampyretears666 yes the dinosaurs died off... but it was not their own doing..

they did not destroy the envitonment around them, cause they lived as part of the nature.. we don't..

i have no doubt that something else will evolve looong after we are gone.. but is it REALLY necessary to kill off everything else as we go down?

there are too many bad people in this world who kill for their own gain.. their poor helpless victims need our help to survive.. they need us.. and it's our responsability

  • @6go6th6ic i fully agree with you :)

  • @6go6th6ic Not at all, We are just worthless pieces of meat who love to kill and do what ever we can to make our own lives easier

  • @6go6th6ic Its sad to know, but I think too late already..

  • @6go6th6ic fianally. someone said it

  • @6go6th6ic nice talk, but have you done anything to save our planet yet? No offence, just asking :)

  • @Juhi04 actually i do my best every day to help our earth. i grow my own vegetables and fruit, drive my bike all year round to school and work, go to schools and teach kids to live eco-friendly, buy only second-hand stuff, volunteer at the recycling centre etc.. i can always do more though, and when im better off economically i will do more. but for now, hard work is all i've got to give. that's why i try to encourage people to do the same.

hope that answers your question! =D

  • @6go6th6ic Lol our planet doesnt need saving. Humans needs saving, Were killing ourselfs not the Earth. The planet Earth has endured things soooo much more worse then Humans. It is even arrogant to think that we are even a threat to Earth.

  • @zerox701

Yes, earth has endured. But don't forget, not necessarily the things living on it. We're on the best way to destroy the earths current ecosystem. Of course it would probably regenerate, but it would not be the same earth we know today. So if we want "our earth" to survive, we should start changing something. Although it is probably to late anyway because people are simply too arrogant to change within the next 20 years or so.

  • @kenetkorva I totally agree with you really, it's my mum used to say "Humans are digusting". But most of use are good people and on the contrary Jame Cameron has set an example of what could happen in the future, so hopefully his example should help people change their attitude towards nature.

  • @6go6th6ic

or just destroy it, thats how the story line of avatar goes..

    ill be jake

  • @6go6th6ic ya know, ya should stop killing the people of the EARTH before protecting the nature of the EARTH!!

  • @leviterande well, humans can defend themselves, and it's not like the trees are killing the people... and why do one thing first? do good to human kind AND nature.

after all, if our mother earth dies out all life will follow...

by the way, i don't do any killing, it's quite the opposite

  • @6go6th6ic

    thats ....... true

  • @6go6th6ic I wish, but it's too late :(

  • @Dannnneh it's never too late as long as we still live! that's what keeps me going!

  • @6go6th6ic

We are making Mother Nature fit for human habitation. Do you even know how tough and dangerous is a life in nature and wilderness is?

  • @1tephania yes, i do know how it is to live in the wilderness, and it's no tougher than it has always been...

we are still the most dangerous creature out there.

making fit for human habitation? most of the deforestation is to grow soy to feed livestock.. we don't habitate it.. and if we were habitating it: you can live with nature, no need to kill everything in our path...

  • @6go6th6ic

It doesn't matter if humans as a collective are the most dangerous creatures in the wilderness. Humans are highly susceptible to parasites, diseases, poison, and predators that a wilderness can offer, not to mention the fact that a degradation of civilization would absolutely destroy our standard of living and human ethics. You might say 'we can live with nature', but how are we to achieve that? Any specifics?

  • @6go6th6ic

Hunter-gatherer societies never 'lived with nature'. It literally killed everything in its path. When humans spread out from Africa to Asia and Europe, it is estimated that 60% of all large creatures went extinct (it is not proven whether humans hunted them to death, but it is a possibility). When humans went to the Americas, 90% went extinct.

  • @6go6th6ic

Paradoxically, we now have the ability and the consciousness to conserve environment precisely because we have an industrial civilization, not because we are living like the Na'vi.

  • @1tephania I think you're missing the point. "Living with nature" means to respect all species around you by not mindlessly killing and slaughtering for 'fun', but killing for means of survival. It also means to have a deep understanding of everything around you; of nature. To be a part of Earth. To look in wonder at the trees, and the mountains, and the sun. That is living with nature.

  • @theswedishdude1

the whole movie is based on the turmoil in the middle east. oil in the middle east is fought for and is desrtoying those people's land. war is present and their culture is being destroyed.

  • and in africa also, people are being killed purely because of their african heritage.

  • this movie really makes u think... about how u treat people and ur planet...i meen this plays out in only like 100 years??? this planet is millions of years old and we ruin it in only 200 years?? we cant let that happen...

  • hmm lol i cant put in the url wtf i put the dot thing their but it wont work just type the name of the planet then in images looks for Polyphemus Alpha Centauri system and then at the top leeft iphone thats the 1

  • by any chance r u getting these names from mass effect 2 lol cuz all these names sound real but u know a damn lot about them lol

  • I just LOVE the transition here. It perfectly supplemented the movie scene. Brings it clearly back to mind.

  • very good quality of screen shot

  • Whats her name at 0:55

  • Trudy ;-)

  • Thanks

  • @darkmidnightninjas

    Michellle Rodriguez

  • 3:45 Jake starts to run outside :)

  • it's amazing how beautiful this is

James Horners pieces are amazing (Y).

  • I can just picture Jake running on his 'new' legs through that Pandoran vegetable garden - you feel every step..

  • This is great.

  • 3:45 - 4:21 is my favorite part

  • si la mia tambien !!¡¡

  • you said it!

  • who freaking randomly comes up with beautiful music like this?! i mean come on now!!!

    i love it though

    especially 3:43 and so on

    =D

you can just feel and visualize jake running

although it would be better when it comes out on DVD lol

  • Sooo true!

  • I visualize something else

  • @gabbywabby24 Haha its out today!!

  • @clubbythe

lol, we didn't get it, but my sister did and made fun of me

  • @Caoimhinban I prefer the first 70's star wars trilogies , not the new ones added by G Lucas , they were not spiritual , full of fight and war ,too much 3D that made the film looked like a video game

  • You know, that's one of the best things, the deepest feeling I felt with this movie: Jake entering his avatar and running, running free- then, in a way, it's just a dream.

It captures a sort of emotion that's so hard to describe... with words, no.

But music... there, you can feel that childish, innocent tune of the freedom he yearned for.

  • @Aventussen I strongly agree this is one of the best avatar's scenes ,I've watched the movie three times and do not get bored watching again and again this running scene

  • the sequel comes out roughtly end of 2010/early 2011

  • why do all the good films have to have sequels? i so HATE that!!

  • who the hell told you that? LOL this movie alone was started in mid 90's and was in production for 5 years or more. the sequel, which will no doubtably be 8 times more incredible *knowing james cameron* will come out in no less than 4, 5, maybe 6 years

  • @lordvenom00011 LOL No it doesn't. Cameron himself said he expects it to take about three years or so.

  • it took 4 years to make so when about did he start Avatar cuz if he finished it in 2009 we gona probly get it in 2013 but he might of finsihed avatar like years ago lol

  • Comment removed

  • some of the tech was made during this film so it wont take as long to make, also cameron said he has some stuff saved already for the next film and or the bluray release

  • he better not be puting extra stuff on blue ray that woul dpiss me off cus i dont got 1 lol, thx

  • lol i think he is putting it on dvd aswell. im not sure though. i only heard about it on bluray.

    there is still hope :)

  • werll thats okay but he should save it for the second avatar

  • Personally, I loved this movie, regardless of whatever the political message might be --I can't wait for the sequel!

  • @kaleriyaebezano buy the cd

  • This soundtrack is amazing. From 3:40 on, you can just picture Jake sprinting through the compound. Everything about this film is just awe-inspiring

  • I remember every Picture to the soundtrack :-)

Saw it 2 times, want to see it again!

  • saw it 10 times and two things are certain.

1.: I want to see it another 1000 times

    2.: I can't wait for the second movie =))

  • sequal? Honestly I wouldn't think it would be a great idea. But would like to see it anyway!

I heard James Cameron will tkae over the star wars series from george lucas and make star wars 7,8 and 9.

  • @Revoluciona41 James Camaron has promised three ;) Cant wait! If the latter two are going to be anything like the first one, I look forward ;). It's nice to know that this way of doing movies is going to be pretty much set in stone for future movies.

Cant wait for the DVD! Anyone know the release date?

  • @livingmylifeatmach2 Im of 2 minds about this. On one hand, it'll be awesome to have more of these truly epic films. On the other hand, what happens if it isnt as good? would it ruin the way we view the original? :S But Cameron knows his stuff, im sure itll be fine...

  • @Revoluciona41 hey is it going to be a second????

  • @Revoluciona41 Well in august 2010 James Cameron you can see a longer version in the cinemas. :)

  • @MrFips0815 AUGUST IS MY BIRTHDAY!

  • @Revoluciona41 oh no..... not a second D:. They BETTER NOT SCREW IT UP IF UR RIGHT!

  • @Revoluciona41 you think there 'll be one then? or has it been anounced ?

  • @sheogorath19 it has been announced. its going to focus on the ocean part of pandora.

  • @Revoluciona41 Is there going to be a 2nd one? =O

  • @sailxonxmusic Pretty sure there will be

  • got same feeling ;]

  • I love James Horner every sondtrack is pure magic!!

  • never knew Saturn an Jupiter are in Alpha Centauri but still, I'll let it slide :p

Pandora = one of Polyphemus' moons

Our gas giants aren't the only ones in the Universe with great big spots

  • Oh crap, it's Saturn.

    Nevermind.

  • Pandora is actually one of Jupiter's moons.

  • Pandora is a fictional moon orbiting Alpha Centauri, a real gas giant.

  • @TheMaineLobstah

Pandora is a fictional moon orbiting a fictional gas giant, the gas giant orbits around the star Alpha Centauri A, which is real, but so far no planets have been found orbiting it...

  • i can't wait to see the second part :)

btw.there is another impossilbe thing shown in movie: Toruck is too big to fly in the forest, what's more it can't fly like ikran do,because it needs a lot of energy.

bu all in all it's the best movie i've ever seen.

  • remember the low gravity which is why the can fall like 300 feet and still be fine. plus like all the animals have reinforced carbon-fibre skeletons.

    but still SPOILER

i don't think that the general could have fell that far and the robot not have have the legs screwd up. awesome movie

  • even if we would find another civilized planet... we would need years to go there and that is the problem. I don't think u can freeze humans like in avatar, cause the little icecrystals in our body would destroy everything. one time frozen and u are dead.

But avatar is still the best movie so far and i was really glad when i heard that james cameron will continue with avatar2 exactly at the point where avatar ended :D i want to see more!!! it was so beautiful !!

  • remember avatar is set in the year 2154 and if you look at technology progression over the last 140 years and the exponential increase in technology would mean that the idea of freezing someone in cryo wouldn't be unlikely by then.

anyways james cameron likes all his technologies to be 'possible'.

avatar is the best movie ever!

  • Based on my own nerdy research, the idea behind getting around the ice crystal problem is that the body which is put in cryo is first almost completely dehydrated. This probably wouldn't actually work, but hey it's a movie, who cares.

  • That's why aftr cryo the people eat and drink like pigs, exp. Alien and Aliens

  • u know what we should make a big day were everyone is dressed like avatar and make it a holiday you know how cool that would be i wonder if i can do it if u wanna please help me get the date and everything

  • Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if aliens lived on other planets and had cultures similar to these. Hopefully though, the planets and the moons will have a reliable source of oxygen for us to breath.

  • @MiyahSummer

I hope that too. I mean since our galaxy is compared to a grain of sand in the beach among other galaxies. Who knows what lives beyond our galaxy. Maybe there is a race and world similar to the na'vis somewhere out there. That thought just excites me. This movie is awesome!!!
