  • listen to the version with Neil Young at bob s fest ! i t can t be any better by ANYONE

  • singer sucks

  • wow....it took a barrage of great guitarists......almost everybody on the top 100 list to pay a tribute to jimi :D

  • @juggert ..and its like the worst version of this song.......ever

  • Neil Young spoiled the song.. as usual..

  • It's Santana in the Bandana, LOL

  • Jeff Beck in 1:29 in the right side?

  • Wow Jimmy Page and Edge. All we need now is Jack. :)

  • they needed so many legendary guitarists to replace Jimi: The Edge, Santana, Neil Young, Jimmy Page and all, shows you how wonderful Jimi was

  • Wow, the sound guy really new how to "MIX things up" . Anyway, I love Santanas reaction after being Picked to play after Jimmy Page but the Edge seemed rejected after being passed over in favor of Santana. Obviously, Page deserved to be first but I Thought the conductor was going to pick Keith Richards after Page.

  • Jimmy's sole was reminiscent of Stairway to Heaven, which isn't surprising Am, G, F and all... someone should have turned up Santana. And Johnny Cash (an old friend of Dylan's) who hung in the back of the frontline should have sang a verse on this Dylan classic.

  • Well they sure didn't have a shortage of telecasters did they?

  • One solo at a time fellas!

  • awesome , page plays the same stairway to heaven live solo, but yeah the end of stairway has the same chord progression

  • tha fuck is The Edge doing there ....

  • It sounded a bit too messy.

  • this guys fucking rule

  • When Jam sessions go wrong....

  • tons of talent !!!!

  • so many guitars and still not the same like hendrix :D

  • So much talent on that stage!! Unbelievable!!

  • So much talent on that stage!! Unbelievable!!

  • I swear, i saw in this The Edge, the members fo the experience, santana , Jimmy p[age playing the stairway solo, Johnny Cash, Keith Richards, Edgar winter, And chuck berry... plus thats neil youngs best singing ever

  • man....never seen so many rock idols on one stage at the same time.....RIP Jimi, Mitch and Noel

  • shit thats a shit load of rockstars

  • Isn't that Keith Richards right beside Neil Young??

  • johnny cash in the back too: 2:03

  • IT'S EDGAR WINTER!

  • LOVE THE POST,,,BUT THE TITLE IS MISLEADING.

  • It's just the Experience, no Hendrix to be seen.

  • 5:02 is that Johnny Cash in the back ground

  • Now thats LOVE to see some many artist pay homeage to one man he has touched so many people thats called living 4ever he essence lives on even though his body is no longer wit us! Look at them their enjoyin it pure joy it is a beautiful thing to just watch I woulda been in tears watchin this a totally spiritual moment!!

  • pretty typical they chose to play a song by Bob Dylan instead of one of Hendrix' compositions...cool to watch anyway.

  • @MrEmanuelw the thing is that the composition of the song is Jimi's, although it would have been nice Are You Experience or Voodoo Child

  • so many great artist takes it to get to jimi level

  • well, nice thought .....

  • im very suprised jimi didnt come down for a break up there and show them how its done. it takes like 20 guitarists to fill in for 1 guy--JIMI!! i swear neil sounds like an irish man. any ways the only good ones up there are jimi page, carlos santana, johnny cash and keith richards. BUT WTF? thats how great jimi is.

    haha.

  • clapton should've done the solo he would've rocked it

  • Page gives a Pagey Solo.

  • did they have all these guitarrists paying tribute to hendrix or were they just trying to get the same sound?

  • @monkeypi6 Hahahaha.

  • is johnny cash there?

  • Fire the sound engineer.

  • jimi had the bigger sound!

  • Thought that was Johnny Winter at the back but it's a saxophonist.

  • They shoulda let Dylan sing this if he was around.

  • All these legends! Even Johnny Cash is at the back!

  • PAGE, RICHARDS.

  • purely amazing, i love jimmy's solo purely epic. although the singing is pretty bad IMO

  • All the rock stars gather in the watchtower.

  • they need all those guitarists with all those guitars just to make the sound that jimi made, all on his lonesome, with an upside down strat.

  • @scarecrow312 even without bass n drum jimi had a bigger sound

  • Jimi Hendrix Experience, Yardbirds, Isley Brothers, Booker T and the MG's, Bobby Blue Band, Sam and Dave, Bil Graham, Johnny Cash, Doc Pomus, Leo Fender, Elmore James and Professor Longhair were all inducted.........the superstar band doing 'Watchtower' comprised musicians from all of these bands plus the stars who inducted them and the house band.

  • John Fogerty and Santana induced concert promoter Bill Graham. On stage are Fogerty, Santana, Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, Noel Redding, Mitch Mitchell, BB King, Johnny Cash, Robbie Robertson, Keith Richards, The Edge, Neil Young, Steve Cropper, Booker T Jones, Little Richard, Edgar Winter, Ernie Isley, Aaron Neville, John Popper and Billy Squire. Can't see Ron Wod, but what a band !!! Jimi would be proud

  • man when mitch mitchell starts wiith the drums it takes everything to another level!

  • ERNIE ISLEY!!!

  • @npg4life I know. Ernie is really under-rated. He is one of my fave guitarists. What a touch!

  • This is amazing.Jimi must be so honored.

  • 2:39 is that Jimmy Page!?

  • Such a shame that Noel and Mitch are no longer with us , and niether is Jimi of couse :,,,(

  • Wow!...many major heavies up there. Great clip.

  • And Jimmy Page is playing Stairway to Heaven. How much fun is this?

  • All Jimmy has to do is play the Stairway solo... it's basically the same chord progression backing it up.

  • I'll add Steve Cropper, Booker T Jones, Carlos Santana, John Fogarty, Edgar Winter, Aaron Neville, John Popper, Billy Squire, Ernie Isley, Little Richard.

  • Noel redding, Jimmy Page, The Edge, Johnny Cash, Ron wood, Neil Young, and an entire jazz orchestra < Jimi Hendrix.

And i love all those guitarists.

  • Oh man is that just excellent ! Is that Johnny Cash behind The Edge & Ron Wood ? Neil looks great and I like the way he surrenders to playng rthym like Poncho (Crazy Horse) and lets Jimmy and Carlos rip away. Brilliant.

  • Ron Wood? You mean Keith Richards

  • Wow great background musicans all, I mean (I know is the hall of fame) but the guitar players are just great thanks for uploading

  • indeed that is Jimmy Page ripping it

  • Is that Jimmy Page in the white suit? I think Stairway to Heaven and this song have the exact same chord progression.
