You only need 2 squares and divide them both in half ending up with 4 pieces of 1:2.
score at 1/4 and 3/4 of the length. 2 more small scorelines from the sides so you end up with -| |- on all of them. Fold 2 of them on the 1/4 and 3/4 lines and place them next to each other.

Put Glue on A and F and put the 3th piece on there. Half of this paper is sticking out on top. Also put glue on C and H and put the last piece on there. Start folding and flipping

It took me a while to figure out how they work. I've been googling and found an example of a printed card. Then i tried to figure it out using some square note-its.
