Look at the total votes in the primary process so far. About 1% of the population has voted.

Throughout history, U.S. presidents who have served a first term are almost always nominated to run a second term by their party; they have a better chance of pushing their ideals through the president of the same party. Therefore, the former president's party will most likely nominate the former president due to increased liklihood of him winning.
Dr. Paul is a very sensible man with loads of common sense and a solid foreign policy. It's a shame that he has a very low chance of winning the primary...

However, the majority of the American demos is convinced, in lieu of all evidence to the contrary, that the prevailing status quo, which provides public pensions, a 40-hour working week, labour rights, equality by fiat, etc., suits them better. South Central Asia: 212,000. Western Hemisphere: 2,591,000. These are not trivial numbers, and represent an aspect of the national interest, by way of extension, that has to be defended, via a military capability.

And the labour/expertise of millions of US citizens. All of which is vulnerable to attack. The problem is not the defense and/or military spending per se. Look at the total votes in the primary process so far. About 1% of the population has voted.

Throughout history, U.S. presidents who have served a first term are almost always nominated to run a second term by their party; they have a better chance of pushing their ideals through the president of the same party. Relying on default-option bias, people tend to choose the default option when in doubt (see:Monty-Hall problem). Therefore, the former president's party will most likely nominate the former president due to increased liklihood of him winning.

He's actually concerned about the nation, whereas the other candidates simply want to win. Look at Mtt Romney for example, with his political mudslinging and Newt Gingrich with his forceful political commands. Even though Ron Paul and I don't agree with each other on everything (gay marriage) it would delight me to call him my president.

He heard the name "Ron Paul" but he never cared to look into him because he's running in the Republican party. I showed him this video, and he loved Paul's response to this question. conservative1001bg - amazing that christian voters booed this guy for bringing up the point that bombing people might not always be the best solution. the european forces are extremely well trained - they are shitty - they're just not huge. europe never needed a large military because it outsourced security to the united states as this was more efficient. all empires overstretch themselves and fail - look at Britain, why does american think it's safe? no one asked to bring democracy.

It doesn't stop being the United States Armed Forces if it isn't overseas kicking somebody's ass for shit not worth having deaths over.
