There was a lot of talk at the time about how The Police were punk-posers - but I gotta say, these guys sure don't look like jazz impresarios masquerading as punks. They're pretty convincing.
Hatfield is located in Yorkshire, England. Funny thing about this video, I remember seeing the first time around and thinking these guys are going to be big, but not as big as they became. Interesting contrast between this and the Gateshead stadium video shot in 82, not more than 30 miles from each other, but a world away otherwise.

This is a good one, tho' I prefer So Lonely over it. Still, this one shows off The Police's ability to write and perform rock music.

Hatfield Polytechnic was a college located about 25 miles north of london. Right near the M1 and the M25. It's now called something else.
