  • Paul was in the right place at the right time with tremendous talent

  • I think this is the greatest concert film of all times. I just wish they'd put it out in its entirety. For example, denny laine did two of the best songs on this which weren't included in an edited version included on his video collection. I want the whole damn thing!

  • Wings are the best (rock)band EVER!

    I LOVE PAUL MCCARTNEY!!!!!

  • GREAT song!!! I just saw him in Cincinnati and it was an unforgettable show. He sung and played like he was 25. Incredible.

  • Rock Show=ロックしよう!( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

  • Wow...this is GROOOOVEY!

  • "It's a rock show. They've got long hair!" what cool lyrics!!!!

  • I wish this lineup stayed together. Imagine the awesome stuff they would have performed in 78 and 79. Back to the egg would have been such a better album. This band was a tight unit and it would have only gotten better.

  • Seeing him tonight! Cincinnati.

  • he is from another planet

  • My first concert. Awesome.

  • This rocked. "Boom Boom Madison Square, yeah yeah" Paul is the sexiest thing ever

  • And the amazing thing is tickets to this show were probably under fifteen bucks apiece.

  • @zyxquark Can't remember how much I paid in '76, but in '90 they were only $30!!

  • Polyto se ve tan SEXY :p

  • I remember discovering the Jimmy Page reference like in 1985 and flipping out, thinking wow, this is too cool. High energy, great song. Up-lifting.

  • I saw Macca and Wings in Houston, TX at the Summit May 1976. I recorded the entire show on two audio cassettes....now if only I could find them :(

  • Only Paul can get away with such funny lyrics and make it sound epic and rocking.

  • What a year for solo artists.....VENUS & MARS HUGELY underrated album!!!!!!

  • I love the Hofner, but I always loved the Rickenbacker with the flat wounds. I wish he'd break it back out. Mac rules!!

  • Talk about a man in his element and living out his dream right on stage, well there you have it.

  • I remember as a kid wondering what that Jimmy Page reference was about, but then I got the Wings Over America album and seeing the picture of the double neck guitar and going, "Oh my god, that must be it!" It was pretty cool. Now I think it's epic that one of the biggest acts in the world referenced one of the biggest acts of the 70s. Good times.

  • haha love the jimmy page reference

  • dragonsder, go and open yet another fake parkplace

    account, you twisted BASTARD!

  • What a times! the 70´s Paul so precious as ever, what a voice, what a talent! What a lovely face!

  • Who's playing the piano? Not Linda, surely.

  • it´s a great song.again favorite to me!good concert.good video.great album a live,wings over america!oh yeah!

  • Did whoever filmed this show get "Soily" from it? I'd be interested in comparing that to the Rockshow version(which I love but still:)

  • Listen to that great Rickenbacker bass sound!

  • This just makes hair stand up on my arms and putS a big smile on my face, because I was at this show. One of 80.000. They just don't have rock show like this anymore, and that brings a tear to my eyes. I am just so glad that I was there, that day in ROCK HISTORY

  • @aerowayne1

I must say I envy you for having witnessed WOA tour live. I have several soundboard audio shows from this tour and the band did nothing but light it up. I would the WOA album against any live album ever released. It holds up after over 30 yrs.

  • @ibanez122 They where fun times, that much I can tell you.

  • 1976 Wings over america tour= Macca at his best!

  • Does anyone know where this film is from? It's not from the movie Rockshow.

  • @ExileNJ

I wish I did know! I thought it was from Rockshow but then, nope, don't remember Rockshow to have looked like this. Cool stuff!!!

  • I love how he fits Jimmy Page into the song @ 0;32

  • Wow, I was born in 1968 and grew up listening to heavy music but i discovered the beatles and paul and have never looked back, when i am down i just play one of his tunes and it makes alive again...Thanks Sir Paul

  • Paul and Wings have always rocked!

  • And I only had money for a half oz

  • I was at this show, what a great time to be alive and at this show, thank you so much for the rock show MR McCARTNEY. It makes makes my eyes water to see this after all these years

  • wow! Ithink this was the best concert in universe!

  • Denny looks toasted

  • 2:45 great body language moment as Paul kicks it into gear again

  • The musician most complete in the World. "Listen to what the man said" and learn about lyrics and melodies.

  • does anyone know the name of the man with the two headed guitar?

  • Denny Laine.

  • @badbum61 Thanks a lot!

  • That mullet is like a relic from a different age xD

  • Paul is a legend and no one had the guts to push him like John did and his music shows it after the Beatles- during was just awesome !!!

  • rock show-!!

  • This song resembles 'Time machine Ni

Onegai' of the sadistic Micah band in

    1974....

  • Comment removed

  • This rocks so much that I can forgive that ridiculous mullet

  • Great song

    Thats it

  • @dragonsder stalking me on here as well?

You're one pitiful excuse for a human being!

No means no, so FUCK RIGHT OFF, you freak!!

  • @veotumuerte

You were the one that followed me here. Are you just looking for attention? Because I'm not interested.

  • @dragonsder you started writing to me two days

ago, despite me telling you to fuck off and die!

you understand this to mean "keep writing to me)

If you continue to stalk me, I will be getting your dragonsder,

along with your other sock accounts closed. This is your

    LAST warning asshole!

  • @veotumuerte

You started it. Obviously when you call someone an asshole you are looking for a response. You got one. Again, go ahead and try. I'd love to see it.

  • @dragonsder Keep your stalking up,

    I reported your account yesterday,

and your giving me more evidence!

    You sad freak!

  • truly one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century and you can tell he's really having fun on that stage .thanks paul for being such an inspiration for so many of us through the years. God bless and rock on

  • like to hear david bowie sing this.

  • Like a relic from a different age...

  • Do I detect sarcasm? I'd like to be relic with his talent!!!

  • I saw the Nawlins horn player Thaddeaus in a dumpy club in New Orleans once. Passed the hat and I listened "to what the man said".

  • Love it - simply love it! It is soooo much 70ies, but in a great way - and life!

  • Surely the great days of rock n roll, the Golden Age. Long live the 70's.

I'm glad I was able to live during them.

  • i was there! first concert in the new kingdome

    killer show

     8 bucks

    the great days!

  • 8 Bucks WOW.. Bet McCartney tickets could run 800 these days

  • more

  • i didnt know paul was in a oi band

  • That is a fucking awesome mullet. Jesus.

  • @2:47 Rock on, Macca!

  • Linda sing out of tune at 1:36....

    But very out of tune....

  • prolly the reason the ceiling tiles started falling down......lol

  • was this at the kindome in seattle.??.reviews tell me it was the greatest shows ever to be there...the kingdome was bulldosed in 2000?

  • compare this raw untreated footage vs. the other version - it's easy to tell them apart, Paul's earplugs are plainly visible in this 'raw' version.

  • I purchased the double- live album, WINGS OVER AMERICA, and it's certainly not better then this live concert video. Can you buy his 1976 tour on dvd or vhs?

  • No, for some weird reason McCartney still hasn´t reissued the Rockshowfilm on DVD. All you can legally obtain are 6 tracks that made it to `The McCartney Years` and he felt it necessary to add one track that wasn't in the original film, a Beatles-song of course (Lady Madonna), already available in like 7000 other McCartney versions, all of them worse than the original. Imagine Neil Young doing only CSNY, it's unthinkable.

  • you rock paul!!!

i hope that ringo, john, & george are watching in that concert.

  • Wow, I was at this concert too! I still have a unused ticket as a reminder of the girl that stood me up. Her loss! It was a great, great show.

  • Wow the was 33 years ago, let it go. ; ) lol

  • @jimmyjames77

LOL.. yeah, I've moved on. But the ticket is still cool. I think it was like $7.

  • I just love the Jimmy Page reference.

  • That is really cool. I love Paul in this period. It's my favorite of his timeline.

  • @jimmyjames77 Yeah, 1975 and 1976 was definitely Wings best period. They were on top of the world.

  • @jimmyjames77 si igual ami

  • ah the David Bowie style...

which David borrowed from the Beatles' song which was actually a Paul McCartney composition?

  • Holy Shit!!! I was at this show! (I was 16 and veryyyyy high....)

Thanks for posting this!!!! The sound at the show was so bad in the Kingdome that we couldn't hear anything!!!

  • I'm gonna comment again. Thank you jacenty. thank you so much.

  • Fucking great song this!!

  • Wow, Ruffgar66 is at my house right now. She's obsessed. I didn't know she had commented so many times XD. Great song though!

  • SHUTUP!!

  • Ha! Love The David Bowie style section in the song :)

  • Which part is that? The ring at the end of my nose makes me look rather pretty?

  • yes that section

  • F**king adrenaline.

Paul said he ''really wanted this song to be 'sweaty' '' prior to its recording..... well I think the band must have been dehydrated after this performance!

  • This song is about as sweaty as Paul can get... in other words: not THAT sweaty ;-)

  • and once again..Paul said Sexy soul! I would have loved to see him!

  • I love the kitteh Part. He does that girly leg and hair flip thing!!! EEE!!!

  • they mention Jimmy Page. heh.

  • history.... my first( and one of the worlds....) first VHS full concert videos....enjoy... and I was there...pitty for you....

  • this is the most sparatic playing sounds great, and whenever Paul sings, he smiles and bites his lip.

  • love this! (poor Paul is too short for the mic!)

  • this impresses me more than the beatles.

  • vaya voz...

  • One of the very best performances EVER ! Please come out on Blu-Ray / DVD !!!!! I have been looking for this for years. Had the entire concert on VHS.... the tape is long gone. (Sadly) : ( Good to see it here... : )

  • Thanks for posting! "Rock Show" is an awesome rocker by Paul & Wings.

  • everyone that sees Paul live is blown away by it. He's a rock master

  • Yea, in '03 I guess it was, I saw him in St Louis with my uncle (he turned me on to The Beatles, BeacBoys ect) anyway, like Im this 'rocker' guy yaknow 25 and I have to say I cried tears of joy. I now get chicks! lol :) Hes just great.

  • Yes only $10.25

  • There were 56,000 of us there that day. They finally did it right. 3 stories of speakers giant tv screens. Best show in Seattle history so far. IMO

To bad there is only a bootleg DVD of the show, that I have ever seen. First concert to go over $10.00! Yes, $10.25 WHAT A BARGAIN.

  • You went there for 10.25? You lucky lucky person!!!

Must have been a great moment

  • Kronlof2 I was there. Yes indeed it was the best concert I ever seen in my life. I was 19 years old. I was a soldier at Ft. Lewis. I hitchhiked from Lewis to get there just as the lights went down.

  • lionel, you were not there, you cannot comment, even! You just had to be there, at the largest indoor concert ever, 80,000 strong! It was an experience, that obviously, you cannot appreciate!

  • I like them both, but john lennon?

Just listen to interviews, paul was nice and down to earth, john was like... Who stepped on your nuts today? The hell you so angry for?

  • Paul was the honey for Johns spice. I like them both.

  • Paul is justa happy guy, Lennon, thoygh smart, had some problems...

  • 0:26 - what's that man movin' cross the stage? ... it looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page.

  • As brilliant as McCartney is...... it is a mullet. Sign of the times.

  • Amazing!

  • DUDE I was there. I was stationed at Ft.Lewis, We had some great windowpane, and it was an awesome show. I rate it as the best I have seen.

  • jesus! That's too fucking good!

  • WOA is one of the best live albums EVER! .... Would love to see Paul tour one last time and do more of the old Wings stuff! ... Less Beatles - as we have heard all of that stuff over and over - and more Wings!

  • Wings over america is the best!

  • I have been in love with Paul since I was 11 when The Beatles were on Ed Sullivan on Feb. 9, 1964 (45th anniversary coming up!) I never got to see them live and this tour was the first time got to see Paul ever (in Largo, MD). Tickets were $25! I was too excited for words. I was 11 all over again (actually 23). Paul's hair is NOT a mullet; it was the beginning of the punk rock era and he was saying I am still hip but I am NOT a Beatle! :o) He was only 34 then, almost half his age today!

  • Thats well cool. I was born in 1972 so missed seeing Wings. Have seen paul loads though and met him at book and cd signings, most recent one 6 weeks agao at HMV, London!! I love Paul and Denny Laine sooooo much!!!

  • I love his hair, actuallly, it's a glam rock mullett luv.

  • great song !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I wish he didn't jack the East dates to early & West to the end, I got burned seeing him in Denver. I wish he'd open with this in '09.

  • kinda reminds me of david bowie style... he even has a mullet

  • I was 18 when I saw this concert at the Kingdome! It was SO cool seeing Paul McCartney!!

  • Awesoooome, really !

    Thanks !

  • he says it looks like a guitar used by jimmy page.

  • What's that man movin' 'cross the stage? It looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page. It's like a relic from a different age. Could be...Oo-Ee..."

  • Love this more each time I watch it!! =D

  • Great performance loving Pauls necklece btw!

  • FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!

  • I tried isolating it, but the jab at Jimmy Page in the lyrics escape me.

    Anyone know?

  • Nacho66, It took a while, but I found the Jimmy Page reference. It comes up at the :32 second mark. It doesn't sound like a jab, though, just a reference.

  • 'what's that man movin' cross the stage?/ it looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page...'

  • I don't think it's a jab. I believe he's saying "What's that man moving across the stage, it looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page." He's probably referring to one of his guitars or something?

  • I believe when Paul refers to what "looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page-It's like a relic from a different age..." he is talking about Jimmy's Theremin, which looked and sounded like something from an old horror movie (a different age).

  • He's referring to the Gibson Les Paul guitar that Page is playing

  • I believe when Paul refers to what "looks a lot like the one used by Jimmy Page-It's like a relic from a different age..." he is talking about Jimmy's Theremin, which looked and sounded like something from an old horror movie (a different age).

  • Maybe it's a guitar? Jimmy Page has been known to carry guitars every now and again. He sometimes used a red doubleneck similar to the one Denny Laine plays in this video.

  • Since anyone attending a rock show knows what a guitar looks like-even one with two necks, the question of "What's that man moving 'cross the stage?" doesn't make much sense. I think it would have to refer to something a little more out of the ordinary. I wouldn't think of a guitar as "like a relic from a different age." either. Ooh wee!

  • A Theremin is a weird musical device that changes pitch simply by moving your hand near it. Jimmy used one during "Dazed and Confused". I'm sure if Paul was talking about a Les Paul, he wouldn't have to ask "What's that...?"

  • I don't think all of mccartney's lyrics necessarily make sense, but okay, maybe it's not a guitar. But it could definitely be a bow. The theremin doesn't look old, just weird. The bow is a relic from from the classics. Maybe we should ask him.

    Paul...?

  • True, Paul has often used nonsense lyrics at times, and at other times been quite profound. The lyrics go-"What's that man moving cross the stage? (Which would be more puzzling-a man moving a bow across the stage, or a theremin?) No matter. That was just my guess, certainly not fact. They used to use those Theremins on the soundtracks for all the old sci-fi, horror movies of the 50's. Paul didn't say it LOOKED old, just that it's "LIKE a relic from a different age...)

  • you mean whole lotta love

  • Best version of Rockshow. Better than the album version on Venus and Mars, and Wings over America and better than any of the other performances of this song during their 1976 american tour.

  • lovely

  • Great show.I saw the show.First concert in the Kingdome

  • hey hey, first comment. yassssssssssss

    i love ze mullet !!!!
