  • It's not the first anime ever, Oatari Sora no Entaku is from 1932, anime as an art form started as early as 1917 (first short film).

/I was very lucky in watching it in Italian TV in 1971 and in Italian language.

  • @friedolin1263

  • The first anime in japan. It's very beutiful. I love but as always, prefer to see the japanese version. Still, it feels good seeing it.

But if this is from japan, why is it set in china?

  • No particular reason, they simply decided to take an old Chinese legend and adapt it into a movie.

  • I read on wikipedia that they wanted a good relatiinship with eachother and chose to make a chinese folk tale.

  • Awesome. The first anime ever!

  • primeira animçao feita dos japas

  • japanese anime.....

  • Grazie per averlo postato!!

  • The narrator is the same one who narrated Disney's "Sleeping Beauty", and Lisa Lu, who voiced Bai-Niang, played An-Mei in "The Joy Luck Club" and the Dowager Empress Cixi in "The Last Emperor".
