The title: "Fronteinsätze eines Stuka Fliegers". The author is Hans Peter Eisenbach, Germany 2009. In the book shows in detail all the Stuka missions over Kefalonia and Leros in 1943.

It's not true what u say, 14000 italian soldier went to greece thinking that they would have a simple victory against the poor greeks. Maybe after 2 or 3 days of hard walking they (italians) met the resistance of 500.000 greeks and turned back in Albania. You have to study more.

The Italians only surrendered when the ammunitions ended and the survivors came shoot as traitors. 6.000 executed, shoted to the shoulders and 3.000 killed when the convoy leading to Germany were hit by mines in the Adriatic sea. Cephalonia was a backwater (with Ithaca) by then. It had little strategic importance xcept as a possible but eventually unproven staging area for forays vs. Yugoslav/Greek/Albanian partisans. Thx for this rare vid; it's an early example of Germany realizing it was losing while trying to prop up its fast-fading Italian fascist ally.

Again the germans came to the resuce of Mussolini because he could not maintain his own military. They turned on him NO fuckin loyalty or little morale They did not entirley believe in their cause.

It's not so easy as you make it sound. The invasion of Greece was poorly planned and not backed up. The Italians didn't turn on Mussolini yet, it was after the loss in Africa. But also Rommel and other officers that had common sense knew the war was lost by then and wanted to put an end to it, that is why Hitler had him killed ( suicide).He had plenty of morale and loyalty, considered best general, but not stupid to consider a useless carnage.

A heroic choice, in front of a better equipped, resupplied, and bloody-thirsty enemy. The Italians only surrendered when the ammunitions ended and the survivors came shoot as traitors. 6.000 executed, shoted to the shoulders and 3.000 killed when the convoy leading to Germany were hit by mines in the Adriatic sea. In Kefalonia they are still remembered as heroes, while the Germans are considers worst people ever.

Germans recaptured the island from the italians, after the surrendering of Italy to allies. Italians chose not to surrender to germans, and germans executed them all (about 7000 survivors from the fight were executed) because they hadn't suderrended.
Brave Wehrmacht. May the officers ordering that massacre burn in hell forever.

After constant defeats and humilation Mussolini is arrested. After hes takin from power italy trys surrenderin to the allys. Fearin german reaction italian higher ups flee rome and leave the entire italian military without orders. Some decide to fight germans some still loyal to mussolini continue to fight with em. Italian troops still loyal to mussolini are the ones to retake kefalonia from italian troops who decided to turn on mussolini and the germans. There not partisans

That's plain wrong: it was teh Germans who re took Cefalonia form the Italians loyal to the King executing more than 6.000 prisoners, no combat between Italians loyal to Mussolini and Italians loyal to the King took place in that instance.

They are not dedicated like the Germans. Musssolini was not strong enough nor was the dedication and morale of the italian soldier like that of the Werhmact soldier.The italians that stayed loyal to Mussolini took it from the coward, turn on your ally(GERMANY) , weak ,inefficient, italians that went over to the "allies" . Mussolini did not run an efficient military like their Deutsch kamaraden. That's why the italian soldier's reputation of world war II is not respected .
