There is not a Flippin thing thats scientific about Japans Whale HUNTING its a farce and they should be stopped in the Dolphin hunt as well. That is why they will be changing its name next year I think. The IWC is not there to protect whaling nations - it is there to protect whales from murdering bast**ds like you!

why? whales and dolphins have been food for many countries for many years. please study a little bit then we can talk.
there is food taboos. for instances, in many cultures people do not eat dogs, horses, monkeys, insects etc. at same time, in many cultures, people eat them without any problem. it is really a cultural thing, not a moral.
most of western countries used to whale for oil, not for meat. food taboo for whale meat is quite new.
whales only became a commercial food source with advances in technology and thus the COMMERCIAL whaling Japan is engaged in is a Modern abuse of nature which only really began in the late 18th century, and not until the 20th Century in the Antarctic where you whale illegally.

This years campaign, Sea Shepherds fifth campaign to Antarctic waters, will be called Operation Musashi in reference to the legendary Japanese strategist, Miyamoto Musashi. Musashis Book of Five Rings included the approach of the Twofold Way of Pen and Sword. Sea Shepherds goal is to send two fast ships to the Southern Ocean with the purpose of continuously keeping the Japanese whaling fleet on the run.
