Okay nobody's dumb here. Brooke McClymont wrote the song I can't wait and sang it and Hilary Duff recorded a cover of it. So the younger audiences who are Hilary Duff fans it's okay to say it is by Hilary Duff, she did get the license to sing it. Most artists do covers of other peoples songs and our little ones who hear it for the first time might think that that artist did indeed sing it first, when they did not. My daughter thought that it was an original by Hilary and so did I. Sorry :(
