  • wow...glad you made it out ok.

  • too much trailer for an SUV

  • Comment removed

  • Ford Expedition..FORD TUFF.... FTW...good thing you guys were in a newer and safe tubby ol expy ;) Proud owner myself ;)

  • to top it off, 41 feet v what maybe 12 feet of car, soon as that trailer sways it will not even feel that car there, and the trailer will take you on its own ride

  • try pulling that size unit in Canada with a piss pot car like that and see how far you get,,,,

  • yeah wow windows smashed & Trailer looked really Bad, its Great to know

    no one was Hurt.

  • I watched a very similar accident happen two cars in front of me and we stopped to help the people out of their truck on its side. It was about a 27-30 foot trailer being pulled behind a newer S10 size chevy blazer. And of course, they were going to fast and jackknifed when trying to stop. Ended up spinning 180 degree's and rolling in the ditch across the road. Of course, glad you guys are ok. But I have to ask, how fast were you going?

  • ow that hurt that camper you all are ok and better

  • glad u got time to make video when ur vehicle and trailer r destroyed

  • Good to hear everyone was alright!

  • ill make this a fact.. if i saw that thing while i was driving, id hook it up right then and there, and take the damn thing home lol

  • Why on earth were you pulling that size of trailer behind an SUV for in the first place?

  • @wildbill23c That trailer is well under the towing capacity of the Expedition.

  • @CubanInnovation

According to who, you. That Expedition in no way is rated to tow that trailer, look at the damn wreck that should tell you.

  • Thank the ford... Not god

  • Glad everyone was OK. Seriously though, I don't care if the weight of the trailer was under the towing capacity of the Expedition a 31ft trailer is too much for a 1/2 ton SUV ice or not.

  • @glockholiday1 That trailer is just right for that Expedition. I don't care what you're driving, the same thing could happen with any vehicle. That trailer is in no way too big for that Expedition.

  • @CubanInnovation

What would I know I just tow trailers for a living.

  • you walked away shaken not stirred well done

  • I dont know what happened but in my opinion even though I love ford you didn't need to be pulling a trailer that big with an expedition and it seems like you were going too fast and probably not experienced enough to be hauling a trailer of that size

  • @pwrstrokediesel I agree. They need at least a 3/4 ton pickup or suv. Also, I doubt they had adequate sway control, if any, and the driver most likely slammed on the brakes and overcorrected as soon as the vehicle started to lose traction.

  • IF god was good, he wouldnt have let this happen in the first place. You should be thanking FORD for saving your lives

  • @tablerape God is good, but we still have to deal with the devil and all his harm because of our ancestors Adam, and Eve. Thier alive and well so I'd say God did good.

  • @7larkins So if god is so fucking powerful why couldnt he stop the devil from doing things like this? And if the devil controls the weather, and the icy spot on the bridge, why is the weather ever nice? face the facts... religion just doesnt add up

  • @tablerape Apparently there was a lesson here, or maybe he wanted us to come into contact with each other, who knows? Maybe there were problems with the family and God had allowed this to happen to show them what's more important.

  • @7larkins Or he couldve just skipped the dangerous bullshit and fixed the family problems in a more positive way...

  • god isnt real.

  • if god was with you wouldnt he have kept that from happening?

  • @bordersoldier God will not interfere with man's decisions, but he will see us through.

  • just as long god is thanked

  • that's unfrotunate, man.. i work at an rv dealership, and last year we had a pretty large snowstorm (for Oklahoma, anyway) and a customer of ours was extremely persistent on picking up his brand new 36' Montana fifth wheel. he made it about thirteen miles down I-40 before he hit a patch of ice and rolled it and his brand new f-350. complete loss, but he and his wife were okay... best of luck to you and your family on your future ventures. drive careful.

  • GOD is GREAT,GREAT,GREAT!!!

  • what a shame about the caravan and car....did you get the car repaired or right it off?

  • hook back up and drive it on down the road! lol

  • Funny you should say that. Once we had a rental vehicle and were heading home, I called the RV dealership I bought the trailer from and told them I had a complaint...the trailer had wind and rain coming inside from several places and wanted to know what they were gonna do. When he told me to bring it in, I brought him up to speed. We all had a good laugh and later they made me a great deal on another trailer.....we made the same trip in 2009 which thankfully was much less eventful.

  • Wow that's crazy. Glad your all ok tho.

  • You pulled that camper with a Ford Expedition?

  • @XxClemsonTigersXx I pull a 33 ft KZ 314BH with a 99 Expedition. Not a problem for them at all.

  • very sorry about your crash, but the video and audio quality is excellent!

  • if god was so good to you then why did he let you crash and destroy your truck and trailer?

  • @vinculum479 , sorry for the delay in answering, but I look at it like this...stuff is replaceable, people aren't. I'd gladly lose my camper and suv and be blessed with all 6 of us walking away safely as we did. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. Thanks for your comment/question!

  • @vinculum479 your dum God has a plan for every thing so God was good by keeping everyone safe in tthe crash.

  • i liked where you parked ur truck and camper! Good job!

  • praise God.... that ya'll were okay and that you give the glory to God!

  • @timothy8727 thanks to god!!!! god bless everybody and merry Christmas!!

  • @jjizabeast1 its allays good to have a weight distribution hitch

  • I'm glad everyone was okay. I do have to say that your pull vehicle looked a little small for such a trailer.

  • dumb yanks

  • Look like that expedition kept yall safe. That wasnt the trucks falt or the drivers. did yall gget another car after this? its a great thing that god was watching over yall.

  • Next time, use a land rover

  • @maltelec Lol, Suburbans and Expeditions may not be the best choice for thirty foot travel trailers, but they would sure as hell do far better then a Landrover. Now don't get me wrong, Land Rovers are well built vehicles, They just aren't as heavy.

  • @azsako I dunno, mine is 3.5 tonnes with a Cummins 6B engine (same as the Dodge Ram 2500, just without the turbo lag).

  • @maltelec Wow, I stand corrected. I thought My Sub was heavy at 5600lbs. and of course diesel is always cool. sounds like you have an impressive ride. Thanks for the reply

  • @azsako I've got it on Youtube. Have a look for Frog driving for the 1st time in my videos.

  • dont pull a 30ft trailer with a short wheel based vehicle! may be rated for the weight since expeditions are rated for 8600 pounds for towing but that dont matter

  • did your insurance try to screw you over cause your vehicle is not rated for that big of a load.

  • bummer looked like a nice setup glad ur ok

  • holy crap doktirbob ha! This is worse than I thought, whose expedition?

  • woow you guys were really lucky looking at what happened to your expedition and your trailer. God did truly did look out for you and everyone in the truck. hopefully you were still able to have a merry christmas! :)

  • we did the same with a Keystone Sprinter.

  • do you have pictures? man what an experience! hope all of you were ok.

    cya!

  • Dude Are you retarded... your comment made no sence..... grow some balls bud

  • Dude, I'm really glad you guys are alright. It is very true that God was with you guys on this one. God is good! -Roy

  • @wilsongreatbatch -If god was good, they wouldn't have crashed, ruining their vacation, truck and camper.

  • @Lieutelant . Hi there, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree. We actually had a great visit with our family before the wreck. Also, the camper and truck and vacation is just stuff that call all be replaced. God spared my family and myself....for that I will always be grateful!!!

  • @doktirbob -Okay, so maybe I could've left out "vacation" from the list of ruined stuff, though I'm guessing your trip would've been better if you hadn't crashed. Yes, the truck and camper can be replaced-but if god was so good, they wouldn't have to be. And yes, god spared you and your family-but he could've just not let you be in danger in the first place.

  • doktirbob says:. Hi there, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disagree. We actually had a great visit with our family before the wreck. Also, the camper and truck and vacation is just stuff that call all be replaced. God spared my family and myself....for that I will always be grateful!!!

  • @wilsongreatbatch GOD ...... i call that rain and slippery XD
