It's some type of wisdom I'm hoping to hear in my lifetime before kicking the bucket! :/ Awesome movie, I wished horror films were still like this rather than a grade porn with famous 'actors' ;(

These pictures of faces of a split second are supposed to give us the feeling a creepy feeling so that you experience the movie more intense. Some movies even have it nowadays, we can't see them but our brains can.

Enjoyable enough, but the direction is turgid.... no tension, no pace, no framing or construction of any note, so to say it's much better than Hitchcock is laughable, but it is an interesting story and an enjoyable B movie... despite the lumpen direction. The suggestion that it would have been better in Hitchcock's hands is surely true.... and the music is bloody awful, so having Berbard Herriman on board would have helped too. But I enjoyed this never the less, thanks a lot for posting it.

t's an OK movie and I wouldn't call it a classic. The acting was sometimes over the top. like the one on 11:35, when the woman saw the house. There were some scenes that were somewhat dragging as well. You don't see these in any of Alfred Hitchcock movies. Nice story though, it's probably the director who should get the blame for making this a mere mediocre movie. Perhaps, if Mr Hitchcock directed this movie, it would have been far better.

The movie was pretty good for a low-budget thriller. Miss O'Donnell's first name is not spelled correctly in the opening credits. Her name was Cathy O'Donnell not Kathy O'Donnell. I'm surprised that such a mistake was made.

This is a must see movie. The title does not do it justice at all. It is not a cheesy 50s B movie, it is a really well written psychological thriller way superior to Hitchcock. The subliminal messages are a hoot, we are still trying to decide whether they were all in the original or not! But, this movie is a real gem and both my girlfriend and myself would recommend it to absolutely everyone. It should have been a classic. It is a classic.

@DeanFirefly I noticed the subliminals too. It is believed that they always have been and still are embedded within movies and TV shows. Usually when they are caught, it is found to be an advertisement. I spent about five minutes play-pause-play-pause in the spots where they are and it's almost impossible to catch them in a still frame.

I think your right Jazz was the strength of the 50s but were let down in their horror movies. Especially considering all these movies seem to have a dense little girl or a women in their late teens or just twenty while the husband appears in their late forties or fifties or greater, which is rather sick.

Well dang, that was a pretty good movie!

The acting by the lead actress was rather too syrupy, otherwise it was fun.

And some of the "subliminal" images were hilarious. One of them near the end showed an image of a snake with the words "always rent Rhino videos" or something like that. Must've been added later.
