it took me a hammer, pliers, and a flat head screwdriver to finish it off -_-

You need two types of can opener in the home, one that opens cans from the side, like the one you already own, and one that opens cans from the top. To open a Fray Bentos, you need a can opener that opens the tin from the top. In my most humble opinion, a top opening can opener is far more useful item in the home then one that opens from the side.

The trick is to pierce the side of the tin with the opener before trying to crack it (or pressing the 'go' button on those electric thingymajiggers).

i have magican, its good for most stuff! The trick is to hold the fray bentos down with one hand while the can opener is locked into the pie, then tilt the opener down, if you around after that it works :)
